   מִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִדof Davidבְּבׇרְחוֹwhen he fledמִפְּנֵיfromאַבְשָׁלוֹםAbsalomבְּנוֹ׃his son

   A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

2. 2

   יְהֹוָהLORDמָה־רַבּוּhow they have increasedצָרָיmy adversariesרַבִּיםmanyקָמִיםrise upעָלָי׃against me

   LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

3. 3

   רַבִּיםmanyאֹמְרִיםare sayingלְנַפְשִׁיof my soulאֵיןthere is noיְשׁוּעָתָהdeliveranceלּוֹfor himבֵאלֹהִיםin Godסֶלָה׃Selah

   Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

   וְאַתָּהbut YouיְהֹוָהO LORDמָגֵןare a shieldבַּעֲדִיfor meכְּבוֹדִיmy gloryוּמֵרִיםand the lifter up ofרֹאשִׁי׃my head

   But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

   קוֹלִיwith my voiceאֶל־יְהֹוָהto the LORDאֶקְרָאI criedוַיַּעֲנֵנִיand He answered meמֵהַרfrom the hill ofקׇדְשׁוֹHis holinessסֶלָה׃Selah

   I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

   אֲנִיIשָׁכַבְתִּיlay downוָאִישָׁנָהand sleptהֱקִיצוֹתִיI awokeכִּיforיְהֹוָהthe LORDיִסְמְכֵנִי׃sustained me

   I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

   לֹא־אִירָאI will not be afraidמֵרִבְבוֹתof ten thousands ofעָםpeopleאֲשֶׁרwhoסָבִיבall aroundשָׁתוּhave set themselvesעָלָי׃against me

   I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

   קוּמָהariseיְהֹוָהO LORDהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיsave meאֱלֹהַיO my Godכִּי־הִכִּיתָfor You have struckאֶת־כׇּל־אֹיְבַיall my enemiesלֶחִיon the cheekשִׁנֵּיthe teeth ofרְשָׁעִיםthe wickedשִׁבַּרְתָּ׃You have broken

   Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

9. 9

   לַיהֹוָהto the LORDהַיְשׁוּעָהbelongs salvationעַל־עַמְּךָupon Your peopleבִרְכָתֶךָis Your blessingסֶּלָה׃Selah

   Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
