   לָמָּהLAM/mawhyרָגְשׁוּra/ge/SHUrageגוֹיִםgo/YIMthe nationsוּלְאֻמִּיםu/le/um/MIMand the peoplesיֶהְגּוּ־רִיק׃yeh/GU-rikplot a vain thing

   Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

   יִתְיַצְּבוּyit/yats/tse/VUset themselvesמַלְכֵי־אֶרֶץmal/KHE-E/retsthe kings of the earthוְרוֹזְנִיםve/roz/NIMand the rulersנוֹסְדוּ־יָחַדnos/DU-YA/chadtake counsel togetherעַל־יְהֹוָהal-Adonaiagainst the LORDוְעַל־מְשִׁיחוֹ׃ve/AL-me/shi/CHOand against His Anointed

   The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

   נְנַתְּקָהne/nat/te/KAlet us breakאֶת־מוֹסְרוֹתֵימוֹet-mos/ro/TE/motheir bondsוְנַשְׁלִיכָהve/nash/LI/khaand cast awayמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom usעֲבֹתֵימוֹ׃a/vo/TE/motheir cords

   Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

   יוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVHe who sitsבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensיִשְׂחָקyis/CHAKshall laughאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיִלְעַג־לָמוֹ׃yil/AG-LA/moshall mock them

   He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

   אָזazthenיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERHe shall speakאֵלֵימוֹe/LE/moto themבְאַפּוֹve/ap/POin His angerוּבַחֲרוֹנוֹu/va/cha/ro/NOand in His furyיְבַהֲלֵמוֹ׃ye/va/ha/LE/moshall He terrify them

   Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIyet Iנָסַכְתִּיna/SAKH/tihave setמַלְכִּיMal/KIMy Kingעַל־צִיּוֹןal-Tsiy/YONupon Zionהַר־קׇדְשִׁי׃har-kod/SHIMy holy hill

   Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

   אֲסַפְּרָהa/sap/pe/RAI will declareאֶל־חֹקel-chokconcerning the decreeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאָמַר־אֵלַיa/MAR-e/LAYsaid to meבְּנִיbe/NIMy sonאַתָּהat/TAYou areאֲנִיa/NIIהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayיְלִדְתִּיךָ׃ye/lid/TI/khahave begotten You

   I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

   שְׁאַלshe/ALaskמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof Meוְאֶתְּנָהve/et/te/NAand I will giveגוֹיִםgo/YIMthe nationsנַחֲלָתֶךָna/cha/la/TE/khafor Your inheritanceוַאֲחֻזָּתְךָva/a/chuz/za/te/KHAand Your possessionאַפְסֵי־אָרֶץ׃af/SE-A/retsthe ends of the earth

   Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

   תְּרֹעֵםte/ro/EMYou shall break themבְּשֵׁבֶטbe/SHE/vetwith a rod ofבַּרְזֶלbar/ZELironכִּכְלִיkikh/LIlike a vessel ofיוֹצֵרyo/TSERa potterתְּנַפְּצֵם׃te/nap/pe/TSEMYou shall dash them in pieces

   Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowמְלָכִיםme/la/KHIMO kingsהַשְׂכִּילוּhas/KI/lube wiseהִוָּסְרוּhiv/va/se/RUbe instructedשֹׁפְטֵיSHOF/teO judges ofאָרֶץ׃A/retsthe earth

    Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11. 11

    עִבְדוּiv/DUserveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDבְּיִרְאָהbe/yir/Awith fearוְגִילוּve/GI/luand rejoiceבִּרְעָדָה׃bir/a/DAwith trembling

    Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12. 12

    נַשְּׁקוּ־בַרnash/she/KU-Varkiss the Sonפֶּן־יֶאֱנַףpen-ye/e/NAFlest He be angryוְתֹאבְדוּve/TO/ve/duand you perishדֶרֶךְDE/rekhin the wayכִּי־יִבְעַרki-yiv/ARwhen is kindledכִּמְעַטkim/ATbut a littleאַפּוֹap/POHis wrathאַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed areכׇּל־חוֹסֵיkol-CHO/seall who take refugeבוֹ׃voin Him

    Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
