Psalm 1 תְּהִלִּים פרק א׳

1. 1

   אַשְׁרֵי־הָאִישׁash/RE-ha/ISHblessed is the manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlohas notהָלַךְha/LAKHwalkedבַּעֲצַתba/a/TSATin the counsel ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedוּבְדֶרֶךְu/ve/DE/rekhand in the path ofחַטָּאִיםchat/ta/IMsinnersלֹאlonorעָמָדa/MADstoodוּבְמוֹשַׁבu/ve/mo/SHAVand in the seat ofלֵצִיםle/TSIMthe scornfulלֹאlonorיָשָׁב׃ya/SHAVsat

   Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

   כִּיkibutאִם־בְּתוֹרַתim-be/to/RATin the law ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDחֶפְצוֹchef/TSOis his delightוּבְתוֹרָתוֹu/ve/to/ra/TOand in His lawיֶהְגֶּהyeh/GEhe meditatesיוֹמָםyo/MAMdayוָלָיְלָה׃va/LAY/laand night

   But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand he shall beכְּעֵץke/ETSlike a treeשָׁתוּלsha/TULplantedעַל־פַּלְגֵי־מָיִםal-pal/GE-MA/yimby streams of waterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichפִּרְיוֹpir/YOits fruitיִתֵּןyit/TENyieldsבְּעִתּוֹbe/it/TOin its seasonוְעָלֵהוּve/a/LE/huand its leafלֹא־יִבּוֹלlo-yib/BOLdoes not witherוְכֹלve/KHOLand whateverאֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂהa/SHER-ya/a/SEhe doesיַצְלִיחַ׃yats/LI/achprospers

   And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

   לֹא־כֵןlo-khennot soהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedכִּיkibutאִם־כַּמֹּץim-kam/MOTSlike the chaffאֲשֶׁר־תִּדְּפֶנּוּa/SHER-tid/de/FEN/nuwhich drives it awayרוּחַ׃RU/achthe wind

   The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

   עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeלֹא־יָקֻמוּlo-ya/KU/mushall not standרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedבַּמִּשְׁפָּטbam/mish/PATin the judgmentוְחַטָּאִיםve/chat/ta/IMnor sinnersבַּעֲדַתba/a/DATin the congregation ofצַדִּיקִים׃tsad/di/KIMthe righteous

   Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

   כִּי־יוֹדֵעַki-yo/DE/afor knowsיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhthe way ofצַדִּיקִיםtsad/di/KIMthe righteousוְדֶרֶךְve/DE/rekhbut the way ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedתֹּאבֵד׃to/VEDshall perish

   For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
