1. 1

   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianלְעֶבֶד־יְהֹוָהof the servant of the LORDלְדָוִד׃of David

   To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD.

2. 2

   נְאֻם־פֶּשַׁעtransgression speaksלָרָשָׁעto the wickedבְּקֶרֶבwithinלִבִּיmy heartאֵין־פַּחַדthere is no fear ofאֱלֹהִיםGodלְנֶגֶדbeforeעֵינָיו׃his eyes

   The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

   כִּי־הֶחֱלִיקfor he flattersאֵלָיוhimselfבְּעֵינָיוin his own eyesלִמְצֹאas to findingעֲוֺנוֹhis iniquityלִשְׂנֹא׃and hating it

   For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

   דִּבְרֵי־פִיוthe words of his mouthאָוֶןiniquityוּמִרְמָהand deceptionחָדַלhe has left offלְהַשְׂכִּילbeing wiseלְהֵיטִיב׃and doing good

   The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

   אָוֶןmischiefיַחְשֹׁבhe devisesעַל־מִשְׁכָּבוֹupon his bedיִתְיַצֵּבhe sets himselfעַל־דֶּרֶךְin a wayלֹא־טוֹבthat is not goodרָעevilלֹאnotיִמְאָס׃does he abhor

   He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

   יְהֹוָהO LORDבְּהַשָּׁמַיִםis in the heavensחַסְדֶּךָYour mercyאֱמוּנָתְךָYour faithfulnessעַד־שְׁחָקִים׃reaches to the clouds

   Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

   צִדְקָתְךָYour righteousnessכְּהַרְרֵי־אֵלis like the mountains of Godמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָare Your judgmentsתְּהוֹםa deepרַבָּהgreatאָדָם־וּבְהֵמָהman and beastתוֹשִׁיעַYou will saveיְהֹוָה׃O LORD

   Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

   מַה־יָּקָרhow precious isחַסְדְּךָYour mercyאֱלֹהִיםO Godוּבְנֵיtherefore the sons ofאָדָםmanבְּצֵלunder the shadow ofכְּנָפֶיךָYour wingsיֶחֱסָיוּן׃they take refuge

   How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

9. 9

   יִרְוְיֻןthey take their fillמִדֶּשֶׁןfrom the fatness ofבֵּיתֶךָYour houseוְנַחַלand the river ofעֲדָנֶיךָYour delightsתַשְׁקֵם׃You give them to drink

   They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

10. 10

    כִּי־עִמְּךָfor with You isמְקוֹרthe fountain ofחַיִּיםlifeבְּאוֹרְךָin Your lightנִרְאֶה־אוֹר׃we see light

    For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

11. 11

    מְשֹׁךְcontinueחַסְדְּךָYour mercyלְיֹדְעֶיךָto those who know Youוְצִדְקָתְךָand Your righteousnessלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב׃to the upright in heart

    O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

12. 12

    אַל־תְּבוֹאֵנִיlet not come against meרֶגֶלa footגַּאֲוָהprideוְיַד־רְשָׁעִיםand the hand of wicked menאַל־תְּנִדֵנִי׃let not drive me away

    Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

13. 13

    שָׁםthereנָפְלוּfellפֹּעֲלֵיworkers ofאָוֶןiniquityדֹּחוּthey are cast downוְלֹא־יָכְלוּand are not ableקוּם׃arise

    There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
