   לְדָוִדle/Da/VIDof Davidבְּשַׁנּוֹתוֹbe/shan/no/TOwhen he changedאֶת־טַעְמוֹet-ta/MOhis behaviorלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֲבִימֶלֶךְA/vi/ME/lekhAbimelechוַיְגָרְשֵׁהוּvay/ga/re/SHE/huwho drove him awayוַיֵּלַךְ׃vay/ye/LAKHand he departed

   A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed.

2. 2

   אֲבָרְכָהa/va/re/KHAI will blessאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDבְּכׇל־עֵתbe/KHOL-etat all timesתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyתְּהִלָּתוֹte/hil/la/TOHis praiseבְּפִי׃be/FIin my mouth

   I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

3. 3

   בַּיהֹוָהba-Adonaiin the LORDתִּתְהַלֵּלtit/hal/LELshall gloryנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Ushall hearעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMthe humbleוְיִשְׂמָחוּ׃ve/yis/MA/chuand rejoice

   My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

   גַּדְּלוּgad/de/LUmagnifyלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaithe LORDאִתִּיit/TIwith meוּנְרוֹמְמָהu/ne/rom/MAand let us exaltשְׁמוֹshe/MOHis nameיַחְדָּו׃yach/DAVtogether

   O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

   דָּרַשְׁתִּיda/RASH/tiI soughtאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDוְעָנָנִיve/a/NA/niand He answered meוּמִכׇּל־מְגוּרוֹתַיu/mik/KOL-me/gu/ro/TAYand from all my fearsהִצִּילָנִי׃hits/tsi/LA/niHe delivered me

   I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

   הִבִּיטוּhib/BI/tuthey lookedאֵלָיוe/LAYVto Himוְנָהָרוּve/na/HA/ruand were radiantוּפְנֵיהֶםu/fe/ne/HEMand their facesאַל־יֶחְפָּרוּ׃al-yech/PA/rushall not be ashamed

   They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

   זֶהzethisעָנִיa/NIpoor manקָרָאka/RAcriedוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDשָׁמֵעַsha/ME/aheardוּמִכׇּל־צָרוֹתָיוu/mik/KOL-tsa/ro/TAYVand out of all his troublesהוֹשִׁיעוֹ׃ho/shi/OHe saved him

   This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

8. 8

   חֹנֶהcho/NEencampsמַלְאַךְ־יְהֹוָהmal/AKH-Adonaithe angel of the LORDסָבִיבsa/VIVall aroundלִירֵאָיוli/re/AYVabout those who fear Himוַיְחַלְּצֵם׃vay/chal/le/TSEMand delivers them

   The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

9. 9

   טַעֲמוּta/a/MUtasteוּרְאוּu/re/Uand seeכִּי־טוֹבki-tovthat is goodיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed areהַגֶּבֶרhag/GE/verthe manיֶחֱסֶה־בּוֹ׃ye/che/SE-bowho takes refuge in Him

   O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

10. 10

    יְראוּyer/UO fearאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDקְדֹשָׁיוke/do/SHAYVyou His holy onesכִּי־אֵיןki-enfor there is noמַחְסוֹרmach/SORlackלִירֵאָיו׃li/re/AYVto those who fear Him

    O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

11. 11

    כְּפִירִיםke/fi/RIMyoung lionsרָשׁוּra/SHUlackוְרָעֵבוּve/ra/E/vuand suffer hungerוְדֹרְשֵׁיve/dor/SHEand those who seekיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֹא־יַחְסְרוּlo-yach/se/RUshall not wantכׇל־טוֹב׃khol-tovany good thing

    The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

12. 12

    לְכוּ־בָנִיםle/KHU-va/NIMcome childrenשִׁמְעוּ־לִיshim/U-lilisten to meיִרְאַתyir/ATthe fear ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲלַמֶּדְכֶם׃a/lam/med/KHEMI will teach you

    Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

13. 13

    מִי־הָאִישׁmi-ha/ISHwho is the manהֶחָפֵץhe/cha/FETSwho desiresחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeאֹהֵבo/HEVwho lovesיָמִיםya/MIMdaysלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeטוֹב׃tovgood

    What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

14. 14

    נְצֹרne/TSORkeepלְשׁוֹנְךָle/shon/KHAyour tongueמֵרָעme/RAfrom evilוּשְׂפָתֶיךָu/se/fa/TE/khaand your lipsמִדַּבֵּרmid/dab/BERfrom speakingמִרְמָה׃mir/MAguile

    Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

15. 15

    סוּרsurdepartמֵרָעme/RAfrom evilוַעֲשֵׂה־טוֹבva/a/SE-tovand do goodבַּקֵּשׁbak/KESHseekשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceוְרׇדְפֵהוּ׃ve/rod/fe/HUand pursue it

    Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

16. 16

    עֵינֵיe/NEthe eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־צַדִּיקִיםel-tsad/di/KIMtoward the righteousוְאׇזְנָיוve/oz/NAYVand His earsאֶל־שַׁוְעָתָם׃el-shav/a/TAMtoward their cry

    The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

17. 17

    פְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּעֹשֵׂיbe/o/SEis against those who doרָעraevilלְהַכְרִיתle/hakh/RITto cut offמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofזִכְרָם׃zikh/RAMthe memory of them

    The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

18. 18

    צָעֲקוּtsa/a/KUthey cryוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDשָׁמֵעַsha/ME/ahearsוּמִכׇּל־צָרוֹתָםu/mik/KOL-tsa/ro/TAMand from all their afflictionsהִצִּילָם׃hits/tsi/LAMHe delivers them

    The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

19. 19

    קָרוֹבka/ROVis nearיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְנִשְׁבְּרֵי־לֵבle/nish/be/RE-levto the broken of heartוְאֶת־דַּכְּאֵי־רוּחַve/ET-dak/ke/E-RU/achand the crushed of spiritיוֹשִׁיעַ׃yo/SHI/aHe saves

    The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

20. 20

    רַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyרָעוֹתra/OTare the afflictions ofצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousוּמִכֻּלָּםu/mik/kul/LAMand from all of themיַצִּילֶנּוּyats/tsi/LEN/nudelivers himיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

21. 21

    שֹׁמֵרsho/MERHe keepsכׇּל־עַצְמוֹתָיוkol-ats/mo/TAYVall his bonesאַחַתa/CHAToneמֵהֵנָּהme/HEN/naof themלֹאlonotנִשְׁבָּרָה׃nish/ba/RAis broken

    He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

22. 22

    תְּמוֹתֵתte/mo/TETshall slayרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedרָעָהra/Aevilוְשֹׂנְאֵיve/son/Eand those who hateצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousיֶאְשָׁמוּ׃ye/SHA/muthey will be held guilty

    Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

23. 23

    פֹּדֶהpo/DEredeemsיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנֶפֶשׁNE/feshthe soul ofעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVHis servantsוְלֹאve/LOand notיֶאְשְׁמוּye/she/MUshall be condemnedכׇּל־הַחֹסִיםkol-ha/cho/SIMany who take refugeבּוֹ׃boin Him

    The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
