   לְדָוִדof Davidבְּשַׁנּוֹתוֹwhen he changedאֶת־טַעְמוֹhis behaviorלִפְנֵיbeforeאֲבִימֶלֶךְAbimelechוַיְגָרְשֵׁהוּand drive him awayוַיֵּלַךְ׃and he departed

   A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed.

2. 2

   אֲבָרְכָהI will blessאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּכׇל־עֵתat all timesתָּמִידcontinuallyתְּהִלָּתוֹHis praiseבְּפִי׃in my mouth

   I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

   בַּיהֹוָהin the LORDתִּתְהַלֵּלshall gloryנַפְשִׁיmy soulיִשְׁמְעוּshall hearעֲנָוִיםthe humbleוְיִשְׂמָחוּ׃and rejoice

   My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

   גַּדְּלוּmagnifyלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאִתִּיwith meוּנְרוֹמְמָהso let us exaltשְׁמוֹHis nameיַחְדָּו׃together

   O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

5. 5

   דָּרַשְׁתִּיI soughtאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDוְעָנָנִיand He answered meוּמִכׇּל־מְגוּרוֹתַיand from all my fearsהִצִּילָנִי׃He delivered me

   I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

6. 6

   הִבִּיטוּthey lookedאֵלָיוto Himוְנָהָרוּand they are radiantוּפְנֵיהֶםand their facesאַל־יֶחְפָּרוּ׃shall not be ashamed

   They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

7. 7

   זֶהthisעָנִיpoor manקָרָאcriedוַיהֹוָהand the LORDשָׁמֵעַHe heardוּמִכׇּל־צָרוֹתָיוand out of all his troublesהוֹשִׁיעוֹ׃He saved him

   This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

8. 8

   חֹנֶהencampsמַלְאַךְ־יְהֹוָהangel of the LORDסָבִיבall aroundלִירֵאָיוabout those who fear Himוַיְחַלְּצֵם׃and He delivers them

   The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

9. 9

   טַעֲמוּtasteוּרְאוּand seeכִּי־טוֹבthat is goodיְהֹוָהthe LORDאַשְׁרֵיblessed areהַגֶּבֶרthe manיֶחֱסֶה־בּוֹ׃who takes refuge in Him

   O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

10. 10

    יְראוּO fearאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDקְדֹשָׁיוyou His holy onesכִּי־אֵיןfor there is noמַחְסוֹרlackלִירֵאָיו׃to those who fear Him

    O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

11. 11

    כְּפִירִיםyoung lionsרָשׁוּlackוְרָעֵבוּand suffer hungerוְדֹרְשֵׁיand those who seekיְהֹוָהthe LORDלֹא־יַחְסְרוּshall not wantכׇל־טוֹב׃any good thing

    The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

12. 12

    לְכוּ־בָנִיםcome childrenשִׁמְעוּ־לִיhear to meיִרְאַתthe fear ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֲלַמֶּדְכֶם׃I will teach you

    Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

13. 13

    מִי־הָאִישׁwho is the manהֶחָפֵץwho desiresחַיִּיםlifeאֹהֵבwho lovesיָמִיםmany daysלִרְאוֹתto seeטוֹב׃good

    What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

14. 14

    נְצֹרkeepלְשׁוֹנְךָyour tongueמֵרָעfrom evilוּשְׂפָתֶיךָand your lipsמִדַּבֵּרfrom speakingמִרְמָה׃guile

    Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

15. 15

    סוּרdepartמֵרָעfrom evilוַעֲשֵׂה־טוֹבand do goodבַּקֵּשׁseekשָׁלוֹםpeaceוְרׇדְפֵהוּ׃and pursue it

    Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

16. 16

    עֵינֵיthe eyes ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־צַדִּיקִיםtoward the righteousוְאׇזְנָיוand His earsאֶל־שַׁוְעָתָם׃open to their cry

    The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

17. 17

    פְּנֵיthe face ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּעֹשֵׂיis against those who doרָעevilלְהַכְרִיתto cut offמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofזִכְרָם׃their remembrance

    The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

18. 18

    צָעֲקוּthey cryוַיהֹוָהand the LORDשָׁמֵעַHe hearsוּמִכׇּל־צָרוֹתָםand from all their afflictionsהִצִּילָם׃He delivers them

    The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

19. 19

    קָרוֹבis nearיְהֹוָהthe LORDלְנִשְׁבְּרֵי־לֵבto the broken of heartוְאֶת־דַּכְּאֵי־רוּחַand the crushed of spiritיוֹשִׁיעַ׃He saves

    The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

20. 20

    רַבּוֹתmanyרָעוֹתare the afflictions ofצַדִּיקthe righteousוּמִכֻּלָּםand from all of themיַצִּילֶנּוּdelivers himיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

21. 21

    שֹׁמֵרHe keepsכׇּל־עַצְמוֹתָיוall his bonesאַחַתoneמֵהֵנָּהof themלֹאnotנִשְׁבָּרָה׃is broken

    He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

22. 22

    תְּמוֹתֵתshall slayרָשָׁעthe wickedרָעָהevilוְשֹׂנְאֵיand those who hateצַדִּיקthe righteousיֶאְשָׁמוּ׃they will be held guilty

    Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

23. 23

    פֹּדֶהredeemsיְהֹוָהthe LORDנֶפֶשׁthe soul ofעֲבָדָיוHis servantsוְלֹאand notיֶאְשְׁמוּshall be condemnedכׇּל־הַחֹסִיםany who take refugeבּוֹ׃in Him

    The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
