רַנְּנוּran/ne/NUrejoiceצַדִּיקִיםtsad/di/KIMO you righteousבַּיהֹוָהba-Adonaiin the LORDלַיְשָׁרִיםlay/sha/RIMfor the uprightנָאוָהna/VAis fittingתְהִלָּה׃te/hil/LApraise
Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

הוֹדוּho/DUpraiseלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDבְּכִנּוֹרbe/khin/NORwith the lyreבְּנֵבֶלbe/NE/velwith a harp ofעָשׂוֹרa/SORten stringsזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ׃zam/me/RU-lomake melody to Him
Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

שִׁירוּ־לוֹSHI/ru-losing to Himשִׁירshira songחָדָשׁcha/DASHnewהֵיטִיבוּhe/TI/vuplay wellנַגֵּןnag/GENat playingבִּתְרוּעָה׃bit/ru/Awith shouting
Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

כִּי־יָשָׁרki-ya/SHARfor upright isדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDוְכׇל־מַעֲשֵׂהוּve/KHOL-ma/a/SE/huand all His workבֶּאֱמוּנָה׃be/e/mu/NAis in faithfulness
For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

אֹהֵבo/HEVlovesצְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessוּמִשְׁפָּטu/mish/PATand judgmentחֶסֶדCHE/sedwith the kindness ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמָלְאָהma/le/Ais fullהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth
He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

בִּדְבַרbid/VARby the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensנַעֲשׂוּna/a/SUwere madeוּבְרוּחַu/ve/RU/achand by the breath ofפִּיוpivHis mouthכׇּל־צְבָאָם׃kol-tse/va/AMall their host
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

כֹּנֵסko/NESHe gathersכַּנֵּדkan/NEDlike a heapמֵיmethe waters ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaנֹתֵןno/TENHe putsבְּאוֹצָרוֹתbe/o/tsa/ROTin storehousesתְּהוֹמוֹת׃te/ho/MOTthe deeps
He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

יִירְאוּyi/re/Ulet fearמֵיְהֹוָהme-Adonaithe LORDכׇּל־הָאָרֶץkol-ha/A/retsall the earthמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof Himיָגוּרוּya/GU/rulet them stand in aweכׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיkol-yosh/VEall inhabitants ofתֵבֵל׃te/VELthe world
Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

כִּיkiforהוּאhuHeאָמַרa/MARspokeוַיֶּהִיvay/YE/hiand it was doneהוּא־צִוָּהhu-tsiv/VAHe commandedוַיַּעֲמֹד׃vay/ya/a/MODand it stood fast
For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהֵפִירhe/FIRfrustratesעֲצַת־גּוֹיִםa/TSAT-go/YIMthe counsel of the nationsהֵנִיאhe/NIHe brings to nothingמַחְשְׁבוֹתmach/she/VOTthe devices ofעַמִּים׃am/MIMpeoples
The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

עֲצַתa/TSATthe counsel ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverתַּעֲמֹדta/a/MODstandsמַחְשְׁבוֹתmach/she/VOTthe thoughts ofלִבּוֹlib/BOHis heartלְדֹרle/DORfrom generationוָדֹר׃va/DORto generation
The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

אַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed areהַגּוֹיhag/GOYthe nationאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהa/SHER-Adonaiwhose the LORDאֱלֹהָיוe/lo/HAYVis their Godהָעָםha/AMthe peopleבָּחַרba/CHARHe has chosenלְנַחֲלָהle/na/cha/LAas an inheritanceלוֹ׃lofor Himself
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

מִשָּׁמַיִםmish/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenהִבִּיטhib/BITlooks downיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDרָאָהra/AHe seesאֶת־כׇּל־בְּנֵיet-kol-be/NEall the sons ofהָאָדָם׃ha/a/DAMman
The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

מִמְּכוֹן־שִׁבְתּוֹmim/me/KHON-shiv/TOfrom the place of His habitationהִשְׁגִּיחַhish/GI/achHe looksאֶלeluponכׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיkol-yosh/VEall the inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth
From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

הַיֹּצֵרhay/yo/TSERwho fashionsיַחַדYA/chadalikeלִבָּםlib/BAMtheir heartהַמֵּבִיןham/me/VINwho considersאֶל־כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂיהֶם׃el-kol-ma/a/se/HEMall their deeds
He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

אֵין־הַמֶּלֶךְen-ham/ME/lekhthere is no kingנוֹשָׁעno/SHAsavedבְּרׇב־חָיִלbe/ROV-CHA/yilby a great hostגִּבּוֹרgib/BORa mighty manלֹא־יִנָּצֵלlo-yin/na/TSELis not deliveredבְּרׇב־כֹּחַ׃be/ROV-KO/achby great strength
There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

שֶׁקֶרSHE/kera false hope isהַסּוּסhas/SUSthe horseלִתְשׁוּעָהlit/shu/Afor safetyוּבְרֹבu/ve/ROVand by the greatness ofחֵילוֹche/LOits strengthלֹאlonotיְמַלֵּט׃ye/mal/LETshall it deliver
An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעֵיןenthe eye ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־יְרֵאָיוel-ye/re/AYVupon those who fear Himלַמְיַחֲלִיםlam/ya/cha/LIMto those who hopeלְחַסְדּוֹ׃le/chas/DOin His kindness
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

לְהַצִּילle/hats/TSILto deliverמִמָּוֶתmim/MA/vetfrom deathנַפְשָׁםnaf/SHAMtheir soulוּלְחַיּוֹתָםu/le/chay/yo/TAMand to keep them aliveבָּרָעָב׃ba/ra/AVin famine
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

נַפְשֵׁנוּnaf/SHE/nuour soulחִכְּתָהchik/ke/TAwaitsלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaifor the LORDעֶזְרֵנוּez/RE/nuour helpוּמָגִנֵּנוּu/ma/gin/NE/nuand our shieldהוּא׃huHe is
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

כִּי־בוֹki-vobecause in Himיִשְׂמַחyis/MACHrejoicesלִבֵּנוּlib/BE/nuour heartכִּיkibecauseבְשֵׁםve/SHEMin the name ofקׇדְשׁוֹkod/SHOHis holinessבָטָחְנוּ׃va/TACH/nuwe trust
For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

יְהִי־חַסְדְּךָye/HI-chas/de/KHAlet Your kindness beיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuover usכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִחַלְנוּyi/CHAL/nuwe hopeלָךְ׃lakhin You
Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
