   A Psalm of David, Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

   אַשְׁרֵי־אָדָםash/RE-a/DAMblessed is the manלֹאlonotיַחְשֹׁבyach/SHOVimputesיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלוֹloto himעָוֺןa/VONiniquityוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noבְּרוּחוֹbe/ru/CHOin his spiritרְמִיָּה׃re/miy/YAguile

   Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

   כִּי־הֶחֱרַשְׁתִּיki-he/che/RASH/tiwhen I kept silentבָּלוּba/LUwasted awayעֲצָמָיa/tsa/MAYmy bonesבְּשַׁאֲגָתִיbe/sha/a/ga/TIthrough my groaningכׇּל־הַיּוֹם׃kol-hay/YOMall the day

   When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

   כִּיkiforיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayוָלַיְלָהva/LAY/laand nightתִּכְבַּדtikh/BADwas heavyעָלַיa/LAYupon meיָדֶךָya/DE/khaYour handנֶהְפַּךְneh/PAKHwas turnedלְשַׁדִּיle/shad/DImy vitalityבְּחַרְבֹנֵיbe/char/VO/neby the dry heat ofקַיִץKA/yitssummerסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

   חַטָּאתִיchat/ta/TImy sinאוֹדִיעֲךָo/di/a/KHAI made known to Youוַעֲוֺנִיva/a/vo/NIand my iniquityלֹא־כִסִּיתִיlo-khis/SI/tiI have not hiddenאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidאוֹדֶהo/DEI will confessעֲלֵיa/LEconcerningפְשָׁעַיfe/sha/AYmy transgressionsלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand Youנָשָׂאתָna/SA/taYou forgaveעֲוֺןa/VONthe iniquity ofחַטָּאתִיchat/ta/TImy sinסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

   עַל־זֹאתal-zotfor thisיִתְפַּלֵּלyit/pal/LELlet prayכׇּל־חָסִידkol-cha/SIDeveryone who is godlyאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato Youלְעֵתle/ETin a time ofמְצֹאme/TSObeing foundרַקrakonlyלְשֵׁטֶףle/SHE/tefin the flood ofמַיִםMA/yimwaterרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyאֵלָיוe/LAYVhimלֹאlonotיַגִּיעוּ׃yag/GI/ushall they reach

   For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

   אַתָּהat/TAYou areסֵתֶרSE/tera hiding placeלִיlifor meמִצַּרmits/TSARfrom distressתִּצְּרֵנִיtits/tse/RE/niYou will preserve meרׇנֵּיron/NEwith songs ofפַלֵּטfal/LETdeliveranceתְּסוֹבְבֵנִיte/sov/VE/niYou compass me aboutסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

   אַשְׂכִּילְךָas/ki/le/KHAI will instruct youוְאוֹרְךָve/or/KHAand I will teach youבְּדֶרֶךְ־זוּbe/DE/rekh-zuin the way whichתֵלֵךְte/LEKHyou shall goאִיעֲצָהi/a/TSAI will counsel youעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaupon youעֵינִי׃e/NImy eye

   I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

   אַל־תִּהְיוּal-tih/YUdo not beכְּסוּסke/SUSlike a horseכְּפֶרֶדke/FE/redor like a muleאֵיןenthat have noהָבִיןha/VINunderstandingבְּמֶתֶג־וָרֶסֶןbe/ME/teg-va/RE/senwith bridle and halterעֶדְיוֹed/YOhis trappingsלִבְלוֹםliv/LOMmust be held inבַּלbalelse notקְרֹבke/ROVcome nearאֵלֶיךָ׃e/LE/khato you

   Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

    רַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמַכְאוֹבִיםmakh/o/VIMare the sorrowsלָרָשָׁעla/ra/SHAof the wickedוְהַבּוֹטֵחַve/hab/bo/TE/achbut he who trustsבַּיהֹוָהba-Adonaiin the LORDחֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessיְסוֹבְבֶנּוּ׃ye/sov/VEN/nuwill surround him

    Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

    שִׂמְחוּsim/CHUrejoiceבַיהֹוָהba-Adonaiin the LORDוְגִילוּve/GI/luand exultצַדִּיקִיםtsad/di/KIMO you righteousוְהַרְנִינוּve/har/NI/nuand shout for joyכׇּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵב׃kol-yish/RE-levall you upright in heart

    Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
