   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianמִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִד׃of David

   To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

2. 2

   בְּךָ־יְהֹוָהin You O LORDחָסִיתִיI put my trustאַל־אֵבוֹשָׁהlet me not be ashamedלְעוֹלָםforeverבְּצִדְקָתְךָin Your righteousnessפַלְּטֵנִי׃deliver me

   In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

3. 3

   הַטֵּהinclineאֵלַיto meאׇזְנְךָYour earמְהֵרָהspeedilyהַצִּילֵנִיdeliver meהֱיֵהbeלִיto meלְצוּר־מָעוֹזa rock of refugeלְבֵיתfor a house ofמְצוּדוֹתstrongholdsלְהוֹשִׁיעֵנִי׃to save me

   Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

   כִּי־סַלְעִיfor my rockוּמְצוּדָתִיand my fortressאָתָּהYou areוּלְמַעַןand for the sake ofשִׁמְךָYour nameתַּנְחֵנִיlead meוּתְנַהֲלֵנִי׃and guide me

   For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

   תּוֹצִיאֵנִיYou will bring me outמֵרֶשֶׁתout of the netזוּwhichטָמְנוּthey hidלִיfor meכִּי־אַתָּהfor You areמָעוּזִּי׃my place of refuge

   Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

6. 6

   בְּיָדְךָinto Your handאַפְקִידI entrustרוּחִיmy spiritפָּדִיתָYou have redeemedאוֹתִיmeיְהֹוָהO LORDאֵלGodאֱמֶת׃of truth

   Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

7. 7

   שָׂנֵאתִיI have hatedהַשֹּׁמְרִיםthose who regardהַבְלֵי־שָׁוְאlying vanitiesוַאֲנִיand Iאֶל־יְהֹוָהto the LORDבָּטָחְתִּי׃I trust

   I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

8. 8

   אָגִילָהI will rejoiceוְאֶשְׂמְחָהand I will be gladבְּחַסְדֶּךָin Your mercyאֲשֶׁרwhichרָאִיתָYou have seenאֶת־עׇנְיִיmy afflictionיָדַעְתָּYou have knownבְּצָרוֹתthe troubles ofנַפְשִׁי׃my soul

   I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

   וְלֹאand notהִסְגַּרְתַּנִיYou delivered me upבְּיַד־אוֹיֵבinto the hand of the enemyהֶעֱמַדְתָּYou have setבַמֶּרְחָבin a broad placeרַגְלָי׃my feet

   And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

10. 10

    חׇנֵּנִיbe gracious to meיְהֹוָהO LORDכִּיforצַר־לִיI am in troubleעָשְׁשָׁהit has wasted awayבְכַעַסwith griefעֵינִיmy eyeנַפְשִׁיmy soulוּבִטְנִי׃and my belly

    Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

11. 11

    כִּיbecauseכָלוּthey have wasted awayבְיָגוֹןin sorrowחַיַּיmy lifeוּשְׁנוֹתַיand my yearsבַּאֲנָחָהwith groaningכָּשַׁלhas failedבַּעֲוֺנִיby my iniquityכֹחִיmy strengthוַעֲצָמַיand my bonesעָשֵׁשׁוּ׃they have wasted away

    For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

12. 12

    מִכׇּל־צֹרְרַיof all my adversariesהָיִיתִיI have becomeחֶרְפָּהa reproachוְלִשְׁכֵנַיand to my neighborsמְאֹדexceedinglyוּפַחַדdreadלִמְיֻדָּעָיto my acquaintancesרֹאַיthose who see meבַּחוּץabroadנָדְדוּthey fledמִמֶּנִּי׃from me

    I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

13. 13

    נִשְׁכַּחְתִּיI have been forgottenכְּמֵתas deadמִלֵּבout of mindהָיִיתִיI have becomeכִּכְלִיlike a vesselאֹבֵד׃broken

    I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

14. 14

    כִּיforשָׁמַעְתִּיI have heardדִּבַּתthe slander ofרַבִּיםmanyמָגוֹרterrorמִסָּבִיבall aroundבְּהִוָּסְדָםwhen they took counselיַחַדtogetherעָלַיupon meלָקַחַתto takeנַפְשִׁיmy soulזָמָמוּ׃they devised

    For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

15. 15

    וַאֲנִיand Iעָלֶיךָin YouבָטַחְתִּיI trustיְהֹוָהO LORDאָמַרְתִּיI saidאֱלֹהַיmy Godאָתָּה׃You are

    But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.

16. 16

    בְּיָדְךָin Your handעִתֹּתָיmy timesהַצִּילֵנִיdeliver meמִיַּד־אוֹיְבַיfrom the hand of my enemiesוּמֵרֹדְפָי׃and from my pursuers

    My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

17. 17

    הָאִירָהmake to shineפָנֶיךָYour faceעַל־עַבְדֶּךָupon Your servantהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיsave meבְחַסְדֶּךָ׃in Your mercy

    Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.

18. 18

    יְהֹוָהO LORDאַל־אֵבוֹשָׁהlet me not be ashamedכִּיforקְרָאתִיךָI have called upon Youיֵבֹשׁוּlet be ashamedרְשָׁעִיםthe wickedיִדְּמוּlet them be silentלִשְׁאוֹל׃in Sheol

    Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

19. 19

    תֵּאָלַמְנָהmay they be dumbשִׂפְתֵי־שָׁקֶרthe lying lipsהַדֹּבְרוֹתthose which speakעַל־צַדִּיקagainst the righteousעָתָקarrogantlyבְּגַאֲוָהwith prideוָבוּז׃and contempt

    Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

20. 20

    מָהwhatרַב־טוּבְךָgreat is Your goodnessאֲשֶׁר־צָפַנְתָּwhich You have laid upלִּירֵאֶיךָfor those who fear YouפָּעַלְתָּYou have performedלַחֹסִיםfor those who take refugeבָּךְin Youנֶגֶדin the sight ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofאָדָם׃man

    Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

21. 21

    תַּסְתִּירֵםYou hide themבְּסֵתֶרin the cover ofפָּנֶיךָYour presenceמֵרֻכְסֵי־אִישׁfrom the plots of menתִּצְפְּנֵםYou keep them secretlyבְּסֻכָּהin a pavilionמֵרִיבfrom strife ofלְשֹׁנוֹת׃of tongues

    Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

22. 22

    בָּרוּךְblessed beיְהֹוָהthe LORDכִּיforהִפְלִיא־חַסְדּוֹHe has shown His marvelous loveלִיto meבְּעִירin a cityמָצוֹר׃fortified

    Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

23. 23

    וַאֲנִיand IאָמַרְתִּיI saidבְחׇפְזִיin my hasteנִגְרַזְתִּיI have been cut offמִנֶּגֶדfrom beforeעֵינֶיךָYour eyesאָכֵןsurelyשָׁמַעְתָּYou have heardקוֹלthe voice ofתַּחֲנוּנַיmy supplicationsבְּשַׁוְּעִיwhen I cry for helpאֵלֶיךָ׃to You

    For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

24. 24

    אֶהֱבוּO loveאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDכׇּל־חֲסִידָיוall His faithful onesאֱמוּנִיםthe faithfulנֹצֵרpreservesיְהֹוָהthe LORDוּמְשַׁלֵּםand repaysעַל־יֶתֶרabundantlyעֹשֵׂהhim who actsגַאֲוָה׃haughtily

    O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

25. 25

    חִזְקוּbe strongוְיַאֲמֵץand let be strongלְבַבְכֶםyour heartכׇּל־הַמְיַחֲלִיםall you who hopeלַיהֹוָה׃to the LORD

    Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
