   A Psalm of David. Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

   שְׁמַעshe/MAhearקוֹלkolthe voice ofתַּחֲנוּנַיta/cha/nu/NAYmy supplicationsבְּשַׁוְּעִיbe/shav/ve/Iwhen I cry for helpאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato Youבְּנׇשְׂאִיbe/nos/Iwhen I lift upיָדַיya/DAYmy handsאֶל־דְּבִירel-de/VIRtoward the inner sanctuary ofקׇדְשֶׁךָ׃kod/SHE/khaYour holiness

   Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

   אַל־תִּמְשְׁכֵנִיal-tim/she/KHE/nido not draw me awayעִם־רְשָׁעִיםim-re/sha/IMwith the wickedוְעִם־פֹּעֲלֵיve/IM-PO/a/leand with the workers ofאָוֶןA/veniniquityדֹּבְרֵיdov/REthose who speakשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceעִם־רֵעֵיהֶםim-re/e/HEMwith their neighborsוְרָעָהve/ra/Aand evilבִּלְבָבָם׃bil/va/VAMin their hearts

   Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

   תֶּן־לָהֶםten-la/HEMgive themכְּפׇעֳלָםke/fo/o/LAMaccording to their workוּכְרֹעַu/khe/RO/aand according to the wickedness ofמַעַלְלֵיהֶםma/al/le/HEMtheir doingsכְּמַעֲשֵׂהke/ma/a/SEas the work ofיְדֵיהֶםye/de/HEMtheir handsתֵּןtengiveלָהֶםla/HEMthemהָשֵׁבha/SHEVrenderגְּמוּלָםge/mu/LAMtheir recompenseלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

   Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

   כִּיkibecauseלֹאlonotיָבִינוּya/VI/nuthey considerאֶל־פְּעֻלֹּתel-pe/ul/LOTthe works ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְאֶל־מַעֲשֵׂהve/EL-ma/a/SEor the work ofיָדָיוya/DAYVHis handsיֶהֶרְסֵםye/her/SEMHe will tear them downוְלֹאve/LOand notיִבְנֵם׃yiv/NEMHe will build them up

   Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

   בָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessed beיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּי־שָׁמַעki-sha/MAbecause He has heardקוֹלkolthe voice ofתַּחֲנוּנָי׃ta/cha/nu/NAYmy supplications

   Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֻזִּיuz/ZImy strengthוּמָגִנִּיu/ma/gin/NIand my shieldבּוֹboin Himבָטַחva/TACHtrustedלִבִּיlib/BImy heartוְנֶעֱזָרְתִּיve/ne/e/ZAR/tiand I am helpedוַיַּעֲלֹזvay/ya/a/LOZand exultsלִבִּיlib/BImy heartוּמִשִּׁירִיu/mish/shi/RIand with my songאֲהוֹדֶנּוּ׃a/ho/DEN/nuI will praise Him

   The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

8. 8

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֹז־לָמוֹoz-LA/mois strength to themוּמָעוֹזu/ma/OZand the stronghold ofיְשׁוּעוֹתye/shu/OTthe salvation ofמְשִׁיחוֹme/shi/CHOHis anointedהוּא׃huis He

   The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

   הוֹשִׁיעָהho/SHI/asaveאֶת־עַמֶּךָet-am/ME/khaYour peopleוּבָרֵךְu/va/REKHand blessאֶת־נַחֲלָתֶךָet-na/cha/la/TE/khaYour inheritanceוּרְעֵםu/re/EMshepherd themוְנַשְּׂאֵםve/nas/se/EMand bear them upעַד־הָעוֹלָם׃ad-ha/o/LAMforever

   Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
