   A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

   אֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godבְּךָbe/KHAin Youבָטַחְתִּיva/TACH/tiI trustאַל־אֵבוֹשָׁהal-e/VO/shalet me not be ashamedאַל־יַעַלְצוּal-ya/al/TSUlet not triumphאוֹיְבַיoy/VAYmy enemiesלִי׃liover me

   O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

   גַּםgamindeedכׇּל־קֹוֶיךָkol-ko/ve/KHAall those who wait for Youלֹאlonotיֵבֹשׁוּye/VO/shushall be ashamedיֵבֹשׁוּye/VO/shulet be ashamedהַבּוֹגְדִיםhab/bog/DIMwho deal treacherouslyרֵיקָם׃re/KAMwithout cause

   Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

   דְּרָכֶיךָde/ra/KHE/khaYour waysיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDהוֹדִיעֵנִיho/di/E/nishow meאֹרְחוֹתֶיךָor/cho/TE/khaYour pathsלַמְּדֵנִי׃lam/me/DE/niteach me

   Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

   הַדְרִיכֵנִיhad/ri/KHE/nilead meבַאֲמִתֶּךָva/a/mit/TE/khain Your truthוְלַמְּדֵנִיve/lam/me/DE/niand teach meכִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAfor You areאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׁעִיyish/Imy salvationאוֹתְךָot/KHAon Youקִוִּיתִיkiv/VI/tiI waitכׇּל־הַיּוֹם׃kol-hay/YOMall the day

   Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

   זְכֹר־רַחֲמֶיךָze/KHOR-ra/cha/ME/kharemember Your compassionיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDוַחֲסָדֶיךָva/cha/sa/DE/khaand Your kindnessesכִּיkiforמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMfrom of oldהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey are

   Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

   חַטֹּאותchat/TOTthe sins ofנְעוּרַיne/u/RAYmy youthוּפְשָׁעַיu/fe/sha/AYor my transgressionsאַל־תִּזְכֹּרal-tiz/KORdo not rememberכְּחַסְדְּךָke/chas/de/KHAaccording to Your kindnessזְכׇר־לִי־אַתָּהze/KHOR-li-AT/taremember me Youלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofטוּבְךָtuv/KHAYour goodnessיְהֹוָה׃AdonaiO LORD

   Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

   טוֹב־וְיָשָׁרtov-ve/ya/SHARgood and upright isיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeיוֹרֶהyo/REHe teachesחַטָּאִיםchat/ta/IMsinnersבַּדָּרֶךְ׃bad/DA/rekhin the way

   Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

   יַדְרֵךְyad/REKHHe guidesעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMthe humbleבַּמִּשְׁפָּטbam/mish/PATin judgmentוִילַמֵּדvi/lam/MEDand He teachesעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMthe humbleדַּרְכּוֹ׃dar/KOHis way

   The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

    כׇּל־אׇרְחוֹתkol-or/CHOTall the paths ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDחֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessוֶאֱמֶתve/e/METand truthלְנֹצְרֵיle/nots/REfor those who keepבְרִיתוֹve/ri/TOHis covenantוְעֵדֹתָיו׃ve/e/do/TAYVand His testimonies

    All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11. 11

    לְמַעַן־שִׁמְךָle/MA/an-shim/KHAfor Your name's sakeיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDוְסָלַחְתָּve/sa/lach/TAand pardonלַעֲוֺנִיla/a/vo/NImy iniquityכִּיkiforרַב־הוּא׃rav-huit is great

    For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

12. 12

    מִי־זֶהmi-zewho isהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manיְרֵאye/REwho fearsיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיוֹרֶנּוּyo/REN/nuHe will teach himבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin the way thatיִבְחָר׃yiv/CHARhe should choose

    What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

13. 13

    נַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis soulבְּטוֹבbe/TOVin prosperityתָּלִיןta/LINshall dwellוְזַרְעוֹve/zar/Oand his offspringיִירַשׁYI/rashshall inheritאָרֶץ׃A/retsthe earth

    His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14. 14

    סוֹדsodthe secret ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלִירֵאָיוli/re/AYVis with those who fear Himוּבְרִיתוֹu/ve/ri/TOand His covenantלְהוֹדִיעָם׃le/ho/di/AMto make known to them

    The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

15. 15

    עֵינַיe/NAYmy eyesתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDכִּיkiforהוּא־יוֹצִיאhu-yo/TSIHe will bring outמֵרֶשֶׁתme/RE/shetout of the netרַגְלָי׃rag/LAYmy feet

    Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

16. 16

    פְּנֵה־אֵלַיpe/NE-e/LAYturn to meוְחׇנֵּנִיve/chon/NE/niand be gracious to meכִּי־יָחִידki-ya/CHIDfor lonelyוְעָנִיve/a/NIand afflictedאָנִי׃A/niam I

    Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

17. 17

    צָרוֹתtsa/ROTthe troubles ofלְבָבִיle/va/VImy heartהִרְחִיבוּhir/CHI/vuare enlargedמִמְּצוּקוֹתַיmim/me/tsu/ko/TAYout of my distressesהוֹצִיאֵנִי׃ho/tsi/E/nibring me out

    The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

18. 18

    רְאֵהre/Ebeholdעׇנְיִיon/YImy afflictionוַעֲמָלִיva/a/ma/LIand my painוְשָׂאve/SAand forgiveלְכׇל־חַטֹּאותָי׃le/KHOL-chat/to/TAYall my sins

    Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

19. 19

    רְאֵה־אֹיְבַיre/E-oy/VAYconsider my enemiesכִּי־רָבּוּki-RAB/bufor they are manyוְשִׂנְאַתve/sin/ATand with hatred ofחָמָסcha/MASviolenceשְׂנֵאוּנִי׃se/ne/U/nithey hate me

    Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20. 20

    שׇׁמְרָהshom/RAkeepנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulוְהַצִּילֵנִיve/hats/tsi/LE/niand deliver meאַל־אֵבוֹשׁal-e/VOSHlet me not be ashamedכִּי־חָסִיתִיki-cha/SI/tifor I take refugeבָךְ׃vakhin You

    O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

21. 21

    תֹּם־וָיֹשֶׁרtom-va/YO/sherlet integrity and uprightnessיִצְּרוּנִיyits/tse/RU/nipreserve meכִּיkiforקִוִּיתִיךָ׃kiv/vi/TI/khaI wait for You

    Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22. 22

    פְּדֵהpe/DEredeemאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allצָרוֹתָיו׃tsa/ro/TAYVhis troubles

    Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
