   מִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִדof Davidיְהֹוָהthe LORDרֹעִיis my shepherdלֹאnotאֶחְסָר׃shall I want

   A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2. 2

   בִּנְאוֹתin the pastures ofדֶּשֶׁאgreen grassיַרְבִּיצֵנִיHe makes me lie downעַל־מֵיbeside the waters ofמְנֻחוֹתrestיְנַהֲלֵנִי׃He leads me

   He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

   נַפְשִׁיmy soulיְשׁוֹבֵבHe restoresיַנְחֵנִיHe leads meבְמַעְגְּלֵי־צֶדֶקin the paths of righteousnessלְמַעַןfor the sake ofשְׁמוֹ׃His name

   He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

   גַּםalsoכִּי־אֵלֵךְthough I walkבְּגֵיאthrough the valley ofצַלְמָוֶתthe shadow of deathלֹא־אִירָאI will not fearרָעevilכִּי־אַתָּהfor You areעִמָּדִיwith meשִׁבְטְךָYour rodוּמִשְׁעַנְתֶּךָand Your staffהֵמָּהtheyיְנַחֲמֻנִי׃they comfort me

   Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

   תַּעֲרֹךְYou prepareלְפָנַיbefore meשֻׁלְחָןa tableנֶגֶדin the presence ofצֹרְרָיmy enemiesדִּשַּׁנְתָּYou anointבַשֶּׁמֶןwith oilרֹאשִׁיmy headכּוֹסִיmy cupרְוָיָה׃overflows

   Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

   אַךְbutטוֹבgoodnessוָחֶסֶדand mercyיִרְדְּפוּנִיshall follow meכׇּל־יְמֵיall days ofחַיָּיmy lifeוְשַׁבְתִּיand I will dwellבְּבֵית־יְהֹוָהin the house of the LORDלְאֹרֶךְfor the length ofיָמִים׃days

   Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
