   To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

2. 2

   יְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDבְּעׇזְּךָbe/oz/ze/KHAin Your strengthיִשְׂמַח־מֶלֶךְyis/MACH-ME/lekhthe king rejoicesוּבִישׁוּעָתְךָu/vi/shu/a/te/KHAand in Your salvationמַה־[יָּגֶל]ma-YA/gelhow greatly he rejoices(יגיל)yagayalמְאֹד׃me/ODexceedingly

   The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

   תַּאֲוַתta/a/VATthe desire ofלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartנָתַתָּהna/TAT/taYou have givenלּוֹloto himוַאֲרֶשֶׁתva/a/RE/shetand the request ofשְׂפָתָיוse/fa/TAYVhis lipsבַּל־מָנַעְתָּbal-ma/NA/taYou have not withheldסֶּלָה׃SE/laSelah

   Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

   כִּי־תְקַדְּמֶנּוּki-te/kad/de/men/NUfor You meet himבִּרְכוֹתbir/KHOTwith blessings ofטוֹבtovgoodnessתָּשִׁיתta/SHITYou setלְרֹאשׁוֹle/ro/SHOon his headעֲטֶרֶתa/TE/reta crown ofפָּז׃pazpure gold

   For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

   חַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeשָׁאַלsha/ALhe askedמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAof Youנָתַתָּהna/TAT/taYou gaveלּוֹloto himאֹרֶךְO/rekhthe length ofיָמִיםya/MIMdaysעוֹלָםo/LAMforeverוָעֶד׃va/EDand ever

   He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

   גָּדוֹלga/DOLgreat isכְּבוֹדוֹke/vo/DOhis gloryבִּישׁוּעָתֶךָbi/shu/a/TE/khain Your salvationהוֹדhodsplendorוְהָדָרve/ha/DARand honorתְּשַׁוֶּהte/shav/VEYou layעָלָיו׃a/LAYVupon him

   His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

   כִּי־תְשִׁיתֵהוּki-te/shi/TE/hufor You make himבְרָכוֹתve/ra/KHOTblessingsלָעַדla/ADforeverתְּחַדֵּהוּte/chad/DE/huYou make him gladבְשִׂמְחָהve/sim/CHAin joyאֶת־פָּנֶיךָ׃et-pa/NE/khawith Your presence

   For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

8. 8

   כִּי־הַמֶּלֶךְki-ham/ME/lekhbecause the kingבֹּטֵחַbo/TE/achtrustsבַּיהֹוָהba-Adonaiin the LORDוּבְחֶסֶדu/ve/CHE/sedand through the kindness ofעֶלְיוֹןEl/YONthe Most Highבַּל־יִמּוֹט׃bal-yim/MOThe shall not be moved

   For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

9. 9

   תִּמְצָאtim/TSAwill findיָדְךָya/de/KHAYour handלְכׇל־אֹיְבֶיךָle/KHOL-oy/VE/khaall Your enemiesיְמִינְךָye/mi/ne/KHAYour right handתִּמְצָאtim/TSAwill findשֹׂנְאֶיךָ׃son/E/khathose who hate You

   Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

10. 10

    תְּשִׁיתֵמוֹte/shi/TE/moYou will make themכְּתַנּוּרke/tan/NURlike a furnace ofאֵשׁeshfireלְעֵתle/ETat the time ofפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khaYour presenceיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּאַפּוֹbe/ap/POin His angerיְבַלְּעֵםye/val/le/EMHe will swallow them upוְתֹאכְלֵםve/to/khe/LEMand it will consume themאֵשׁ׃eshfire

    Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

11. 11

    פִּרְיָמוֹpir/ya/MOtheir fruitמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofתְּאַבֵּדte/ab/BEDYou will destroyוְזַרְעָםve/zar/AMand their seedמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEfrom among the sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

    Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

12. 12

    כִּי־נָטוּki-na/TUfor they extendedעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst Youרָעָהra/Aevilחָשְׁבוּcha/she/VUthey devisedמְזִמָּהme/zim/MAa plotבַּל־יוּכָלוּ׃bal-yu/KHA/luthey shall not prevail

    For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

13. 13

    כִּיkiforתְּשִׁיתֵמוֹte/shi/TE/moYou will make themשֶׁכֶםSHE/khema backבְּמֵיתָרֶיךָbe/me/ta/RE/khawith Your bowstringsתְּכוֹנֵןte/kho/NENYou will aimעַל־פְּנֵיהֶם׃al-pe/ne/HEMagainst their faces

    Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

14. 14

    רוּמָהRU/mabe exaltedיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDבְּעֻזֶּךָbe/uz/ZE/khain Your strengthנָשִׁירָהna/SHI/rawe will singוּנְזַמְּרָהu/ne/zam/me/RAand we will sing praisesגְּבוּרָתֶךָ׃ge/vu/ra/TE/khaYour might

    Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
