לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianמִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִד׃of David
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

הַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensמְסַפְּרִיםare declaringכְּבוֹד־אֵלthe glory of Godוּמַעֲשֵׂהand the work ofיָדָיוHis handsמַגִּידproclaimsהָרָקִיעַ׃the firmament
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

יוֹםdayלְיוֹםto dayיַבִּיעַit pours forthאֹמֶרutteranceוְלַיְלָהand nightלְּלַיְלָהto nightיְחַוֶּה־דָּעַת׃it shows forth knowledge
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

אֵין־אֹמֶרthere is no utteranceוְאֵיןand there is noדְּבָרִיםwordsבְּלִיwithoutנִשְׁמָעbeing heardקוֹלָם׃their voice
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

בְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץin all the earthיָצָאhas gone outקַוָּםtheir lineוּבִקְצֵהand at the end ofתֵבֵלthe worldמִלֵּיהֶםtheir wordsלַשֶּׁמֶשׁfor the sunשָׂם־אֹהֶלHe has set a tentבָּהֶם׃in them
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

וְהוּאand heכְּחָתָןis like a bridegroomיֹצֵאgoing outמֵחֻפָּתוֹfrom his chamberיָשִׂישׂhe will rejoiceכְּגִבּוֹרlike a warriorלָרוּץto runאֹרַח׃his course
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

מִקְצֵהfrom the end ofהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensמוֹצָאוֹits going forthוּתְקוּפָתוֹand its circuitעַל־קְצוֹתָםupon their endsוְאֵיןand there is nothingנִסְתָּרhiddenמֵחַמָּתוֹ׃from its heat
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

תּוֹרַתthe law ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDתְּמִימָהis perfectמְשִׁיבַתrestoringנָפֶשׁthe soulעֵדוּתthe testimony ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDנֶאֱמָנָהis reliableמַחְכִּימַתmaking wiseפֶּתִי׃the simple
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

פִּקּוּדֵיthe precepts ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDיְשָׁרִיםare rightמְשַׂמְּחֵי־לֵבrejoicing the heartמִצְוַתthe commandment ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDבָּרָהis pureמְאִירַתenlighteningעֵינָיִם׃the eyes
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

יִרְאַתthe fear ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDטְהוֹרָהis pureעוֹמֶדֶתenduringלָעַדforeverמִשְׁפְּטֵי־יְהֹוָהthe judgments of the LORDאֱמֶתare trueצָדְקוּthey are righteousיַחְדָּו׃together
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

הַנֶּחֱמָדִיםmore to be desiredמִזָּהָבthan goldוּמִפַּזand more than pure goldרָבmuchוּמְתוּקִיםand sweetמִדְּבַשׁmore than honeyוְנֹפֶתand the drippings ofצוּפִים׃honeycombs
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

גַּם־עַבְדְּךָmoreover Your servantנִזְהָרis warnedבָּהֶםin themבְּשׇׁמְרָםin their keepingעֵקֶבa rewardרָב׃great
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

שְׁגִיאוֹתerrors ofמִי־יָבִיןwho can discernמִנִּסְתָּרוֹתfrom hidden faultsנַקֵּנִי׃cleanse me
Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

גַּםalsoמִזֵּדִיםfrom presumptuous sinsחֲשֹׂךְkeep backעַבְדֶּךָyour servantאַל־יִמְשְׁלוּ־בִיlet them not rule over meאָזthenאֵיתָםI will be blamelessוְנִקֵּיתִיand I shall be clearמִפֶּשַׁעof transgressionרָב׃great
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

יִהְיוּ־לְרָצוֹןlet them be acceptableאִמְרֵי־פִיthe words of my mouthוְהֶגְיוֹןand the meditation ofלִבִּיmy heartלְפָנֶיךָbefore YouיְהֹוָהO LORDצוּרִיmy rockוְגֹאֲלִי׃and my redeemer
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
