   הַלְלוּ־יָהּHAL/lu-yapraise the LORDשִׁירוּSHI/rusingלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDשִׁירshira songחָדָשׁcha/DASHnewתְּהִלָּתוֹte/hil/la/TOHis praiseבִּקְהַלbik/HALin the assembly ofחֲסִידִים׃cha/si/DIMthe faithful

   Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

2. 2

   יִשְׂמַחyis/MACHlet rejoiceיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבְּעֹשָׂיוbe/O/SAYVin his Makerבְּנֵי־צִיּוֹןbe/NE-tsiy/YONthe children of Zionיָגִילוּya/GI/lube joyfulבְמַלְכָּם׃ve/Mal/KAMin their King

   Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

   יְהַלְלוּye/hal/LUlet them praiseשְׁמוֹshe/MOHis nameבְמָחוֹלve/ma/CHOLin the danceבְּתֹףbe/TOFwith tambourineוְכִנּוֹרve/khin/NORand lyreיְזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ׃ye/zam/me/RU-lolet them sing praises to Him

   Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

   כִּי־רוֹצֶהki-ro/TSEfor takes pleasureיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּעַמּוֹbe/am/MOin His peopleיְפָאֵרye/fa/ERHe will beautifyעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMthe meekבִּישׁוּעָה׃bi/shu/Awith salvation

   For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

   יַעְלְזוּya/le/ZUlet exultחֲסִידִיםcha/si/DIMthe faithfulבְּכָבוֹדbe/kha/VODin gloryיְרַנְּנוּye/ran/ne/NUlet them sing aloudעַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם׃al-mish/ke/vo/TAMupon their beds

   Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

   רוֹמְמוֹתrom/MOTthe high praises ofאֵלelGodבִּגְרוֹנָםbig/ro/NAMin their throatוְחֶרֶבve/CHE/revand a sword ofפִּיפִיּוֹתpi/fiy/YOTtwo edgesבְּיָדָם׃be/ya/DAMin their hand

   Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

   לַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto executeנְקָמָהne/ka/MAvengeanceבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMupon the nationsתּוֹכֵחוֹתto/khe/CHOTrebukesבַּלְאֻמִּים׃bal/um/MIMupon the peoples

   To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

   לֶאְסֹרle/SORto bindמַלְכֵיהֶםmal/khe/HEMtheir kingsבְּזִקִּיםbe/zik/KIMwith fettersוְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶםve/nikh/be/de/HEMand their noblesבְּכַבְלֵיbe/khav/LEwith chains ofבַרְזֶל׃var/ZELiron

   To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

   לַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto executeבָּהֶםba/HEMupon themמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATthe judgmentכָּתוּבka/TUVwrittenהָדָרha/DARhonorהוּאhuthis isלְכׇל־חֲסִידָיוle/KHOL-cha/si/DAYVfor all His faithful onesהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃HAL/lu-yapraise the LORD

   To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
