1. 1

   הַלְלוּ־יָהּpraise the LORDשִׁירוּsingלַיהֹוָהto the LORDשִׁירa songחָדָשׁnewתְּהִלָּתוֹHis praiseבִּקְהַלin the assembly ofחֲסִידִים׃the pious

   Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

   יִשְׂמַחlet rejoiceיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelבְּעֹשָׂיוin his Makerבְּנֵי־צִיּוֹןlet the children of Zionיָגִילוּbe joyfulבְמַלְכָּם׃in their King

   Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

   יְהַלְלוּlet them praiseשְׁמוֹHis nameבְמָחוֹלin the danceבְּתֹףwith tambourineוְכִנּוֹרand harpיְזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ׃let them sing praises to Him

   Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

   כִּי־רוֹצֶהfor takes pleasureיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּעַמּוֹin His peopleיְפָאֵרHe will beautifyעֲנָוִיםthe meekבִּישׁוּעָה׃with salvation

   For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

   יַעְלְזוּlet exultחֲסִידִיםthe piousבְּכָבוֹדin gloryיְרַנְּנוּlet them sing aloudעַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם׃upon their beds

   Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

   רוֹמְמוֹתthe high praises ofאֵלGodבִּגְרוֹנָםin their mouthוְחֶרֶבand a sword ofפִּיפִיּוֹתtwo edgesבְּיָדָם׃in their hand

   Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

   לַעֲשׂוֹתto executeנְקָמָהvengeanceבַּגּוֹיִםupon the nationsתּוֹכֵחוֹתpunishmentsבַּלְאֻמִּים׃upon the peoples

   To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

   לֶאְסֹרto bindמַלְכֵיהֶםtheir kingsבְּזִקִּיםwith fettersוְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶםand their noblesבְּכַבְלֵיwith fetters ofבַרְזֶל׃iron

   To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

   לַעֲשׂוֹתto executeבָּהֶםupon themמִשְׁפָּטthe judgmentכָּתוּבwrittenהָדָרthis honorהוּאisלְכׇל־חֲסִידָיוto all His pious onesהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃praise the LORD

   To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
