   הַלְלוּ־יָהּHAL/lu-yapraise the LORDכִּי־טוֹבki-tovfor it is goodזַמְּרָהzam/me/RAto sing praise toאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godכִּי־נָעִיםki-na/IMfor it is pleasantנָאוָהna/VAfittingתְהִלָּה׃te/hil/LAis praise

   Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

   בּוֹנֵהbo/NEbuildsיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנִדְחֵיnid/CHEthe outcasts ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelיְכַנֵּס׃ye/khan/NESHe gathers together

   The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

   הָרֹפֵאha/ro/FEHe healsלִשְׁבוּרֵיlish/VU/rethe broken ofלֵבlevheartוּמְחַבֵּשׁu/me/chab/BESHand binds upלְעַצְּבוֹתָם׃le/ats/tse/vo/TAMtheir wounds

   He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

   מוֹנֶהmo/NEHe countsמִסְפָּרmis/PARthe number ofלַכּוֹכָבִיםlak/ko/kha/VIMthe starsלְכֻלָּםle/khul/LAMto them allשֵׁמוֹתshe/MOTnamesיִקְרָא׃yik/RAHe gives

   He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

   גָּדוֹלga/DOLgreat isאֲדוֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordוְרַב־כֹּחַve/RAV-KO/achand of great powerלִתְבוּנָתוֹlit/vu/na/TOto His understandingאֵיןenthere is noמִסְפָּר׃mis/PARnumber

   Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

   מְעוֹדֵדme/o/DEDupholdsעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMthe humbleיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמַשְׁפִּילmash/PILHe casts downרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedעֲדֵי־אָרֶץ׃a/DE-A/retsto the ground

   The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

   עֱנוּe/NUsingלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDבְּתוֹדָהbe/to/DAwith thanksgivingזַמְּרוּzam/me/RUsing praisesלֵאלֹהֵינוּle/lo/HE/nuto our Godבְכִנּוֹר׃ve/khin/NORwith the lyre

   Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

   הַמְכַסֶּהham/khas/SEwho coversשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensבְּעָבִיםbe/a/VIMwith cloudsהַמֵּכִיןham/me/KHINwho preparesלָאָרֶץla/A/retsfor the earthמָטָרma/TARrainהַמַּצְמִיחַham/mats/MI/achwho makes growהָרִיםha/RIMupon the mountainsחָצִיר׃cha/TSIRgrass

   Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

   נוֹתֵןno/TENHe givesלִבְהֵמָהliv/he/MAto the beastלַחְמָהּlach/MAits foodלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the young ofעֹרֵבo/REVthe ravenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִקְרָאוּ׃yik/RA/ucry

   He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

    לֹאlonotבִגְבוּרַתvig/vu/RATin the strength ofהַסּוּסhas/SUSthe horseיֶחְפָּץyech/PATSdoes He delightלֹא־בְשׁוֹקֵיlo-ve/sho/KEnor in the legs ofהָאִישׁha/ISHa manיִרְצֶה׃yir/TSEdoes He take pleasure

    He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

    רוֹצֶהro/TSEtakes pleasureיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־יְרֵאָיוet-ye/re/AYVin those who fear Himאֶת־הַמְיַחֲלִיםet-ham/ya/cha/LIMin those who hopeלְחַסְדּוֹ׃le/chas/DOfor His kindness

    The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

12. 12

    שַׁבְּחִיshab/be/CHIpraiseיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimO Jerusalemאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDהַלְלִיhal/LIpraiseאֱלֹהַיִךְe/lo/HA/yikhyour Godצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONO Zion

    Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

    כִּי־חִזַּקki-chiz/ZAKfor He has strengthenedבְּרִיחֵיbe/ri/CHEthe bars ofשְׁעָרָיִךְshe/a/RA/yikhyour gatesבֵּרַךְbe/RAKHHe has blessedבָּנַיִךְba/NA/yikhyour childrenבְּקִרְבֵּךְ׃be/kir/BEKHin your midst

    For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

14. 14

    הַשָּׂם־גְּבוּלֵךְhas/SAM-ge/vu/LEKHwho makes your bordersשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceחֵלֶבCHE/levwith the finest ofחִטִּיםchit/TIMwheatיַשְׂבִּיעֵךְ׃yas/bi/EKHHe fills you

    He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

15. 15

    הַשֹּׁלֵחַhash/sho/LE/achwho sendsאִמְרָתוֹim/ra/TOHis wordאָרֶץA/retsto the earthעַד־מְהֵרָהad-me/he/RAvery swiftlyיָרוּץya/RUTSrunsדְּבָרוֹ׃de/va/ROHis word

    He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

16. 16

    הַנֹּתֵןhan/no/TENwho givesשֶׁלֶגSHE/legsnowכַּצָּמֶרkats/TSA/merlike woolכְּפוֹרke/FORthe hoar frostכָּאֵפֶרka/E/ferlike ashesיְפַזֵּר׃ye/faz/ZERHe scatters

    He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

17. 17

    מַשְׁלִיךְmash/LIKHHe castsקַרְחוֹkar/CHOHis iceכְפִתִּיםkhe/fit/TIMlike crumbsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeקָרָתוֹka/ra/TOHis coldמִיmiwhoיַעֲמֹד׃ya/a/MODcan stand

    He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

18. 18

    יִשְׁלַחyish/LACHHe sends outדְּבָרוֹde/va/ROHis wordוְיַמְסֵםve/yam/SEMand melts themיַשֵּׁבyash/SHEVHe makes blowרוּחוֹru/CHOHis windיִזְּלוּ־מָיִם׃yiz/ze/LU-MA/yimthe waters flow

    He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

19. 19

    מַגִּידmag/GIDHe declaresדְּבָרָוde/va/RAVHis wordלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobחֻקָּיוchuk/KAYVHis statutesוּמִשְׁפָּטָיוu/mish/pa/TAYVand His judgmentsלְיִשְׂרָאֵל׃le/Yis/ra/ELto Israel

    He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20. 20

    לֹא־עָשָׂהlo-a/SAHe has not dealtכֵןkhensoלְכׇל־גּוֹיle/KHOL-goywith any nationוּמִשְׁפָּטִיםu/mish/pa/TIMand judgmentsבַּל־יְדָעוּםbal-ye/da/UMthey have not known themהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃HAL/lu-yapraise the LORD

    He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.
