    לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianלְדָוִדof Davidאָמַרsaidנָבָלthe foolבְּלִבּוֹin his heartאֵיןthere is noאֱלֹהִיםGodהִשְׁחִיתוּthey are corruptהִתְעִיבוּthey have done abominablyעֲלִילָהa deedאֵיןthere is noneעֹשֵׂה־טוֹב׃who does good

    To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

    יְהֹוָהthe LORDמִשָּׁמַיִםfrom heavenהִשְׁקִיףlooks downעַל־בְּנֵי־אָדָםupon the sons of menלִרְאוֹתto seeהֲיֵשׁis thereמַשְׂכִּילany who understandsדֹּרֵשׁwho seeksאֶת־אֱלֹהִים׃God

    The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

    הַכֹּלeveryoneסָרhas turned asideיַחְדָּוtogetherנֶאֱלָחוּthey have become foulאֵיןthere is noneעֹשֵׂה־טוֹבwho does goodאֵיןthere is noneגַּם־אֶחָד׃not even one

    They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

    הֲלֹאdo notיָדְעוּthey knowכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיall workers ofאָוֶןiniquityאֹכְלֵיwho eat upעַמִּיmy peopleאָכְלוּthey eatלֶחֶםbreadיְהֹוָהthe LORDלֹאnotקָרָאוּ׃they call

    Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

    שָׁםthereפָּחֲדוּthey were in fearפָחַדa fearכִּי־אֱלֹהִיםbecause Godבְּדוֹרin the generation ofצַדִּיק׃the righteous

    There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

    עֲצַת־עָנִיthe counsel of the poorתָבִישׁוּyou would shameכִּיbecauseיְהֹוָהthe LORDמַחְסֵהוּ׃is his refuge

    Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

    מִי־יִתֵּןwould thatמִצִּיּוֹןout of Zionיְשׁוּעַתthe salvation ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelבְּשׁוּבwhen brings backיְהֹוָהthe LORDשְׁבוּתthe captivity ofעַמּוֹhis peopleיָגֵלshall rejoiceיַעֲקֹבJacobיִשְׂמַחshall be gladיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Israel

    Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
