   הַלְלוּ־יָהּHAL/lu-yapraise the LORDהַלְלוּHAL/lupraiseאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהַלְלוּHAL/lupraiseעַבְדֵיav/DEO you servants ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

2. 2

   שֶׁעֹמְדִיםSHE/om/dimyou who standבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּחַצְרוֹתbe/chats/ROTin the courts ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃e/lo/HE/nuour God

   Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

   הַלְלוּ־יָהּHAL/lu-yapraise the LORDכִּי־טוֹבki-tovfor is goodיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDזַמְּרוּzam/me/RUsing praisesלִשְׁמוֹlish/MOto His nameכִּיkiforנָעִים׃na/IMit is pleasant

   Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

   כִּי־יַעֲקֹבki-Ya/a/KOVfor Jacobבָּחַרba/CHARhas chosenלוֹlofor Himselfיָהּyathe LORDיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלִסְגֻלָּתוֹ׃lis/gul/la/TOfor His treasured possession

   For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

   כִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiknowכִּי־גָדוֹלki-ga/DOLthat great isיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַאֲדֹנֵינוּva/a/do/NE/nuand our Lord isמִכׇּל־אֱלֹהִים׃mik/KOL-e/lo/HIMabove all gods

   For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

   כֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־חָפֵץa/SHER-cha/FETSthat pleasedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעָשָׂהa/SAHe has doneבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensוּבָאָרֶץu/va/A/retsand in the earthבַּיַּמִּיםbay/yam/MIMin the seasוְכׇל־תְּהֹמוֹת׃ve/KHOL-te/ho/MOTand in all deeps

   Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

   מַעֲלֶהma/a/LEHe makes riseנְשִׂאִיםne/si/IMvaporsמִקְצֵהmik/TSEfrom the end ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthבְּרָקִיםbe/ra/KIMlightningsלַמָּטָרlam/ma/TARfor the rainעָשָׂהa/SAHe madeמוֹצֵא־רוּחַmo/TSE-RU/achwho brings out windמֵאוֹצְרוֹתָיו׃me/ots/ro/TAYVout of His treasuries

   He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

   שֶׁהִכָּהshe/hik/KAwho struckבְּכוֹרֵיbe/kho/REthe firstborn ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimof Egyptמֵאָדָםme/a/DAMboth of manעַד־בְּהֵמָה׃ad-be/he/MAand beast

   Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

   שָׁלַחsha/LACHHe sentאוֹתֹתo/TOTsignsוּמֹפְתִיםu/mof/TIMand wondersבְּתוֹכֵכִיbe/to/KHE/khiin the midst of youמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimO Egyptבְּפַרְעֹהbe/Far/Oupon Pharaohוּבְכׇל־עֲבָדָיו׃u/ve/KHOL-a/va/DAYVand upon all his servants

   Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

    שֶׁהִכָּהshe/hik/KAwho struckגּוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְהָרַגve/ha/RAGand slewמְלָכִיםme/la/KHIMkingsעֲצוּמִים׃a/tsu/MIMmighty

    Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

    לְסִיחוֹןle/Si/CHONto SihonמֶלֶךְME/lekhking ofהָאֱמֹרִיha/E/mo/RIthe Amoriteוּלְעוֹגu/Le/OGand to OgמֶלֶךְME/lekhking ofהַבָּשָׁןHab/ba/SHANBashanוּלְכֹלu/le/KHOLand allמַמְלְכוֹתmam/le/KHOTthe kingdoms ofכְּנָעַן׃Ke/NA/anCanaan

    Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

    וְנָתַןve/na/TANand He gaveאַרְצָםar/TSAMtheir landנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAa heritageנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAa heritageלְיִשְׂרָאֵלle/Yis/ra/ELto Israelעַמּוֹ׃am/MOHis people

    And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

13. 13

    יְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDשִׁמְךָshim/KHAYour nameלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDזִכְרְךָzikh/re/KHAYour memorialלְדֹר־וָדֹר׃le/DOR-va/DORto all generations

    Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

14. 14

    כִּי־יָדִיןki-ya/DINfor will vindicateיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַמּוֹam/MOHis peopleוְעַל־עֲבָדָיוve/AL-a/va/DAYVand on His servantsיִתְנֶחָם׃yit/ne/CHAMHe will have compassion

    For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

15. 15

    עֲצַבֵּיa/tsab/BEthe idols ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsכֶּסֶףKE/sefare silverוְזָהָבve/za/HAVand goldמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofיְדֵיye/DEthe hands ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

    The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

16. 16

    פֶּה־לָהֶםpe-la/HEMa mouth they haveוְלֹאve/LOand notיְדַבֵּרוּye/dab/BE/rudo they speakעֵינַיִםe/NA/yimeyesלָהֶםla/HEMthey haveוְלֹאve/LOand notיִרְאוּ׃yir/Udo they see

    They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

17. 17

    אׇזְנַיִםoz/NA/yimearsלָהֶםla/HEMthey haveוְלֹאve/LOand notיַאֲזִינוּya/a/ZI/nudo they hearאַףafnorאֵין־יֶשׁ־רוּחַen-yesh-RU/achis there breathבְּפִיהֶם׃be/fi/HEMin their mouths

    They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18. 18

    כְּמוֹהֶםke/mo/HEMlike themיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beעֹשֵׂיהֶםo/se/HEMthose who make themכֹּלkoleveryoneאֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵחַa/SHER-bo/TE/achwho trustsבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMin them

    They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

19. 19

    בֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבָּרְכוּba/re/KHUblessאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDבֵּיתbetthe house ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronבָּרְכוּba/re/KHUblessאֶת־יְהֹוָה׃et-Adonaithe LORD

    Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

20. 20

    בֵּיתbetthe house ofהַלֵּוִיHal/le/VILeviבָּרְכוּba/re/KHUblessאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDיִרְאֵיyir/Eyou who fearיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבָּרְכוּba/re/KHUblessאֶת־יְהֹוָה׃et-Adonaithe LORD

    Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

21. 21

    בָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessed beיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִצִּיּוֹןmits/Tsiy/YONout of Zionשֹׁכֵןsho/KHENwho dwells atיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃HAL/lu-yapraise the LORD

    Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
