1. 1

   הַלְלוּ־יָהּpraise the LORDהַלְלוּpraiseאֶת־שֵׁםthe name ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDהַלְלוּpraiseעַבְדֵיO you servants ofיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

   Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

2. 2

   שֶׁעֹמְדִיםyou who standבְּבֵיתin the house ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּחַצְרוֹתin the courts ofבֵּיתthe house ofאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃our God

   Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

3. 3

   הַלְלוּ־יָהּpraise the LORDכִּי־טוֹבfor is goodיְהֹוָהthe LORDזַמְּרוּsing praisesלִשְׁמוֹunto His nameכִּיbecauseנָעִים׃it is pleasant

   Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

   כִּי־יַעֲקֹבfor Jacobבָּחַרhas chosenלוֹfor Himselfיָהּthe LORDיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלִסְגֻלָּתוֹ׃for His peculiar treasure

   For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

   כִּיforאֲנִיIיָדַעְתִּיI knowכִּי־גָדוֹלfor great isיְהֹוָהthe LORDוַאֲדֹנֵינוּand our Lord isמִכׇּל־אֱלֹהִים׃above all gods

   For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

   כֹּלallאֲשֶׁר־חָפֵץwhatever pleasedיְהֹוָהthe LORDעָשָׂהHe has doneבַּשָּׁמַיִםin the heavensוּבָאָרֶץand in the earthבַּיַּמִּיםin the seasוְכׇל־תְּהֹמוֹת׃and in all deeps

   Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

   מַעֲלֶהHe causes to ascendנְשִׂאִיםvaporsמִקְצֵהfrom the end ofהָאָרֶץthe earthבְּרָקִיםlightningsלַמָּטָרfor the rainעָשָׂהHe makesמוֹצֵא־רוּחַHe brings forth the windמֵאוֹצְרוֹתָיו׃out of His treasuries

   He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

   שֶׁהִכָּהwho smoteבְּכוֹרֵיthe firstborn ofמִצְרָיִםof Egyptמֵאָדָםboth of manעַד־בְּהֵמָה׃and beast

   Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

9. 9

   שָׁלַחHe sentאוֹתֹתsignsוּמֹפְתִיםand wondersבְּתוֹכֵכִיin the midst of youמִצְרָיִםO Egyptבְּפַרְעֹהupon Pharaohוּבְכׇל־עֲבָדָיו׃and upon all his servants

   Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

10. 10

    שֶׁהִכָּהwho smoteגּוֹיִםnationsרַבִּיםmanyוְהָרַגand slewמְלָכִיםkingsעֲצוּמִים׃mighty

    Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

11. 11

    לְסִיחוֹןto Sihonמֶלֶךְking ofהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteוּלְעוֹגand to Ogמֶלֶךְking ofהַבָּשָׁןBashanוּלְכֹלand allמַמְלְכוֹתthe kingdoms ofכְּנָעַן׃Canaan

    Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

12. 12

    וְנָתַןand He gaveאַרְצָםtheir landנַחֲלָהa heritageנַחֲלָהa heritageלְיִשְׂרָאֵלto Israelעַמּוֹ׃His people

    And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

13. 13

    יְהֹוָהO LORDשִׁמְךָYour nameלְעוֹלָםforeverיְהֹוָהO LORDזִכְרְךָYour memorialלְדֹר־וָדֹר׃to generation and generation

    Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

14. 14

    כִּי־יָדִיןfor shall judgeיְהֹוָהthe LORDעַמּוֹHis peopleוְעַל־עֲבָדָיוand concerning His servantsיִתְנֶחָם׃He will repent Himself

    For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

15. 15

    עֲצַבֵּיthe idols ofהַגּוֹיִםthe nationsכֶּסֶףare silverוְזָהָבand goldמַעֲשֵׂהthe work ofיְדֵיthe hands ofאָדָם׃man

    The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

16. 16

    פֶּה־לָהֶםthey have mouthsוְלֹאand notיְדַבֵּרוּdo they speakעֵינַיִםeyesלָהֶםthey haveוְלֹאand notיִרְאוּ׃do they see

    They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

17. 17

    אׇזְנַיִםearsלָהֶםthey haveוְלֹאand notיַאֲזִינוּdo they give earאַףneitherאֵין־יֶשׁ־רוּחַis there any breathבְּפִיהֶם׃in their mouths

    They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18. 18

    כְּמוֹהֶםlike themיִהְיוּshall beעֹשֵׂיהֶםthose who make themכֹּלallאֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵחַeveryone who trustsבָּהֶם׃in them

    They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

19. 19

    בֵּיתthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelבָּרְכוּblessאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDבֵּיתthe house ofאַהֲרֹןAaronבָּרְכוּblessאֶת־יְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

20. 20

    בֵּיתthe house ofהַלֵּוִיof Leviבָּרְכוּblessאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDיִרְאֵיyou who fearיְהֹוָהthe LORDבָּרְכוּblessאֶת־יְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

21. 21

    בָּרוּךְblessed beיְהֹוָהthe LORDמִצִּיּוֹןout of Zionשֹׁכֵןwho dwells atיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםJerusalemהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃praise the LORD

    Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
