   שִׁירshira songהַמַּעֲלוֹתham/ma/a/LOTof ascentsזְכוֹר־יְהֹוָהze/KHOR-Adonairemember O LORDלְדָוִדLe/da/VIDDavidאֵת־כׇּל־עֻנּוֹתוֹ׃et-kol-un/no/TOall his hardships

   A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERhowנִשְׁבַּעnish/BAhe sworeלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDנָדַרna/DARhe vowedלַאֲבִירla/A/VIRto the Mighty One ofיַעֲקֹב׃Ya/a/KOVJacob

   How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

   אִם־אָבֹאim-a/VOI will not enterבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helinto the tent ofבֵּיתִיbe/TImy houseאִם־אֶעֱלֶהim-e/e/LEnor go upעַל־עֶרֶשׂal-E/resonto the couch ofיְצוּעָי׃ye/tsu/AYmy bed

   Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

   אִם־אֶתֵּןim-et/TENI will not giveשְׁנַתshe/NATsleep toלְעֵינָיle/e/NAYmy eyesלְעַפְעַפַּיle/af/ap/PAYto my eyelidsתְּנוּמָה׃te/nu/MAslumber

   I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

   עַד־אֶמְצָאad-em/TSAuntil I findמָקוֹםma/KOMa placeלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaifor the LORDמִשְׁכָּנוֹתmish/ka/NOTa dwelling forלַאֲבִירla/A/VIRthe Mighty One ofיַעֲקֹב׃Ya/a/KOVJacob

   Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

   הִנֵּה־שְׁמַעֲנוּהָhin/NE-she/ma/a/NU/habehold we heard of itבְאֶפְרָתָהve/Ef/RA/tain Ephratahמְצָאנוּהָme/tsa/NU/hawe found itבִּשְׂדֵי־יָעַר׃bis/DE-YA/arin the fields of the wood

   Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

   נָבוֹאָהna/VO/alet us enterלְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיוle/mish/ke/no/TAYVinto His dwelling placesנִשְׁתַּחֲוֶהnish/ta/cha/VElet us worshipלַהֲדֹםla/ha/DOMat the footstool ofרַגְלָיו׃rag/LAYVHis feet

   We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

   קוּמָהku/MAariseיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDלִמְנוּחָתֶךָlim/nu/cha/TE/khato Your resting placeאַתָּהat/TAYouוַאֲרוֹןva/a/RONand the ark ofעֻזֶּךָ׃uz/ZE/khaYour strength

   Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

   כֹּהֲנֶיךָko/ha/NE/khaYour priestsיִלְבְּשׁוּ־צֶדֶקyil/be/SHU-TSE/deklet be clothed with righteousnessוַחֲסִידֶיךָva/cha/si/DE/khaand Your faithful onesיְרַנֵּנוּ׃ye/ran/NE/nushout for joy

   Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

10. 10

    בַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURfor the sake ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidעַבְדֶּךָav/DE/khaYour servantאַל־תָּשֵׁבal-ta/SHEVdo not turn awayפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofמְשִׁיחֶךָ׃me/shi/CHE/khaYour anointed

    For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

    נִשְׁבַּע־יְהֹוָהnish/BA-Adonaithe LORD has swornלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDto Davidאֱמֶתe/METin truthלֹא־יָשׁוּבlo-ya/SHUVHe will not turn backמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/nafrom itמִפְּרִיmip/pe/RIof the fruit ofבִטְנְךָvit/ne/KHAyour bodyאָשִׁיתa/SHITI will setלְכִסֵּא־לָךְ׃le/khis/SE-lakhon the throne for you

    The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

    אִם־יִשְׁמְרוּim-yish/me/RUif keepבָנֶיךָva/NE/khayour childrenבְּרִיתִיbe/ri/TIMy covenantוְעֵדֹתִיve/e/do/TIand My testimoniesזוֹzothatאֲלַמְּדֵםa/lam/me/DEMI shall teach themגַּם־בְּנֵיהֶםgam-be/ne/HEMtheir children alsoעֲדֵי־עַדa/DE-adfor evermoreיֵשְׁבוּyesh/VUshall sitלְכִסֵּא־לָךְ׃le/khis/SE-lakhon the throne for you

    If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

13. 13

    כִּי־בָחַרki-va/CHARfor has chosenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionאִוָּהּiv/VAHe has desired itלְמוֹשָׁבle/mo/SHAVfor His habitationלוֹ׃lofor Himself

    For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

14. 14

    זֹאת־מְנוּחָתִיzot-me/nu/cha/TIthis is My restעֲדֵי־עַדa/DE-adfor everפֹּה־אֵשֵׁבpo-e/SHEVhere I will dwellכִּיkiforאִוִּתִיהָ׃iv/vi/TI/haI have desired it

    This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

15. 15

    צֵידָהּtse/DAher provisionבָּרֵךְba/REKHblessאֲבָרֵךְa/va/REKHI will blessאֶבְיוֹנֶיהָev/yo/NE/haher poorאַשְׂבִּיעַas/BI/aI will satisfyלָחֶם׃LA/chemwith bread

    I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16. 16

    וְכֹהֲנֶיהָve/kho/ha/NE/haand her priestsאַלְבִּישׁal/BISHI will clotheיֶשַׁעYE/shawith salvationוַחֲסִידֶיהָva/cha/si/DE/haand her faithful onesרַנֵּןran/NENshout for joyיְרַנֵּנוּ׃ye/ran/NE/nuwill shout for joy

    I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17. 17

    שָׁםshamthereאַצְמִיחַats/MI/achwill I make to sproutקֶרֶןKE/rena hornלְדָוִדLe/da/VIDDavidעָרַכְתִּיa/RAKH/tiI have preparedנֵרnera lampלִמְשִׁיחִי׃lim/shi/CHIfor My anointed

    There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

18. 18

    אוֹיְבָיוoy/VAYVhis enemiesאַלְבִּישׁal/BISHI will clotheבֹּשֶׁתBO/shetwith shameוְעָלָיוve/a/LAYVbut upon himיָצִיץya/TSITSshall flourishנִזְרוֹ׃niz/ROhis crown

    His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
