   שִׁירa songהַמַּעֲלוֹתof ascentsלְדָוִדof DavidיְהֹוָהO LORDלֹא־גָבַהּis not haughtyלִבִּיmy heartוְלֹא־רָמוּnor are loftyעֵינַיmy eyesוְלֹא־הִלַּכְתִּיneither do I exercise myselfבִּגְדֹלוֹתin great mattersוּבְנִפְלָאוֹתor in things too wonderfulמִמֶּנִּי׃for me

   A Song of degrees of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

   אִם־לֹאsurelyשִׁוִּיתִיI have calmedוְדוֹמַמְתִּיand quietedנַפְשִׁיmy soulכְּגָמֻלas a weaned childעֲלֵיwithאִמּוֹhis motherכַּגָּמֻלas a weaned childעָלַיwithin meנַפְשִׁי׃is my soul

   Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

   יַחֵלlet hopeיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאֶל־יְהֹוָהin the LORDמֵעַתָּהfrom this timeוְעַד־עוֹלָם׃and forever

   Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
