   שִׁירshira songהַמַּעֲלוֹתham/ma/a/LOTof ascentsמִמַּעֲמַקִּיםmim/ma/a/mak/KIMfrom the depthsקְרָאתִיךָke/ra/TI/khaI have cried to Youיְהֹוָה׃AdonaiO LORD

   A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.

   אֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordשִׁמְעָהshim/Ahearבְקוֹלִיve/ko/LIto my voiceתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nalet beאׇזְנֶיךָoz/ne/KHAYour earsקַשֻּׁבוֹתkash/shu/VOTattentiveלְקוֹלle/KOLto the voice ofתַּחֲנוּנָי׃ta/cha/nu/NAYmy supplications

   Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

   אִם־עֲוֺנוֹתim-a/vo/NOTif iniquitiesתִּשְׁמׇר־יָהּtish/MOR-yaYou should keep O LORDאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordמִיmiwhoיַעֲמֹד׃ya/a/MODcould stand

   If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

   כִּי־עִמְּךָki-im/me/KHAbut with Youהַסְּלִיחָהhas/se/li/CHAis forgivenessלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּוָּרֵא׃tiv/va/REYou may be feared

   But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

   קִוִּיתִיkiv/VI/tiI wait forיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDקִוְּתָהkiv/ve/TAwaitsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulוְלִדְבָרוֹve/lid/va/ROand in His wordהוֹחָלְתִּי׃ho/CHAL/tido I hope

   I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

   נַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulלַאדֹנָיla/do/NAYis for the Lordמִשֹּׁמְרִיםmish/shom/RIMmore than watchmenלַבֹּקֶרlab/BO/kerfor the morningשֹׁמְרִיםshom/RIMthan watchmenלַבֹּקֶר׃lab/BO/kerfor the morning

   My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

   יַחֵלya/CHELlet hopeיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaiin the LORDכִּי־עִם־יְהֹוָהki-im-Adonaifor with the LORDהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedis kindnessוְהַרְבֵּהve/har/BEand abundantעִמּוֹim/MOwith Himפְדוּת׃fe/DUTredemption

   Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

8. 8

   וְהוּאve/HUand Heיִפְדֶּהyif/DEshall redeemאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelמִכֹּלmik/KOLfrom allעֲוֺנֹתָיו׃a/vo/no/TAYVhis iniquities

   And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
