   שִׁירa songהַמַּעֲלוֹתof ascentsאַשְׁרֵיblessed areכׇּל־יְרֵאeveryone who fearsיְהֹוָהthe LORDהַהֹלֵךְwho walksבִּדְרָכָיו׃in His ways

   A Song of degrees. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

   יְגִיעַthe labor ofכַּפֶּיךָyour handsכִּיforתֹאכֵלyou shall eatאַשְׁרֶיךָhappy shall you beוְטוֹבand it shall be wellלָךְ׃to you

   For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

   אֶשְׁתְּךָyour wifeכְּגֶפֶןas a vineפֹּרִיָּהfruitfulבְּיַרְכְּתֵיin the sides ofבֵיתֶךָyour houseבָּנֶיךָyour childrenכִּשְׁתִלֵיlike shoots ofזֵיתִיםolive treesסָבִיבround aboutלְשֻׁלְחָנֶךָ׃your table

   Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

   הִנֵּהbeholdכִי־כֵןthus shallיְבֹרַךְbe blessedגָּבֶרthe manיְרֵאwho fearsיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

   Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

5. 5

   יְבָרֶכְךָshall bless youיְהֹוָהthe LORDמִצִּיּוֹןout of Zionוּרְאֵהand you shall seeבְּטוּבthe good ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםJerusalemכֹּלallיְמֵיthe days ofחַיֶּיךָ׃your life

   The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

6. 6

   וּרְאֵה־בָנִיםyea you shall see childrenלְבָנֶיךָof your childrenשָׁלוֹםpeace beעַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃upon Israel

   Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.
