   שִׁירshira songהַמַּעֲלוֹתham/ma/a/LOTof ascentsלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDof Davidשָׂמַחְתִּיsa/MACH/tiI was gladבְּאֹמְרִיםbe/om/RIMwith those who saidלִיlito meבֵּיתbetthe house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנֵלֵךְ׃ne/LEKHlet us go

   A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

   עֹמְדוֹתom/DOTstandingהָיוּha/YUhave beenרַגְלֵינוּrag/LE/nuour feetבִּשְׁעָרַיִךְbish/a/RA/yikhin your gatesיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalem

   Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

   יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemהַבְּנוּיָהhab/be/nu/YAthat is builtכְּעִירke/IRlike a cityשֶׁחֻבְּרָה־לָּהּshe/chub/be/RA-lathat is bound firmlyיַחְדָּו׃yach/DAVtogether

   Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:

   שֶׁשָּׁםshesh/SHAMwhereעָלוּa/LUgo upשְׁבָטִיםshe/va/TIMthe tribesשִׁבְטֵי־יָהּshiv/TE-yathe tribes of the LORDעֵדוּתe/DUTa decreeלְיִשְׂרָאֵלle/Yis/ra/ELto Israelלְהֹדוֹתle/ho/DOTto give thanksלְשֵׁםle/SHEMto the name ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

   כִּיkiforשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereיָשְׁבוּya/she/VUare setכִסְאוֹתkhis/OTthronesלְמִשְׁפָּטle/mish/PATfor judgmentכִּסְאוֹתkis/OTthrones ofלְבֵיתle/VETthe house ofדָּוִד׃Da/VIDDavid

   For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

   שַׁאֲלוּsha/a/LUpray forשְׁלוֹםshe/LOMthe peace ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemיִשְׁלָיוּyish/LA/yumay prosperאֹהֲבָיִךְ׃o/ha/VA/yikhthose who love you

   Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

   יְהִי־שָׁלוֹםye/HI-sha/LOMpeace beבְּחֵילֵךְbe/che/LEKHwithin your rampartsשַׁלְוָהshal/VAprosperityבְּאַרְמְנוֹתָיִךְ׃be/ar/me/no/TA/yikhwithin your palaces

   Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

   לְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersוְרֵעָיve/re/AYand my companionsאֲדַבְּרָה־נָּאa/dab/be/RA-nalet me now sayשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceבָּךְ׃bakhwithin you

   For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

   לְמַעַןle/MA/anbecause ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godאֲבַקְשָׁהa/vak/SHAI will seekטוֹבtovgoodלָךְ׃lakhfor you

   Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
