   שִׁירshira songלַמַּעֲלוֹתlam/ma/a/LOTfor the ascentsאֶשָּׂאes/SAI will lift upעֵינַיe/NAYmy eyesאֶל־הֶהָרִיםel-he/ha/RIMto the hillsמֵאַיִןme/A/yinfrom whereיָבֹאya/VOcomesעֶזְרִי׃ez/RImy help

   A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

   עֶזְרִיez/RImy helpמֵעִםme/IMis fromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֹשֵׂהo/SEwho madeשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensוָאָרֶץ׃va/A/retsand earth

   My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

   אַל־יִתֵּןal-yit/TENHe will not letלַמּוֹטlam/MOTto be movedרַגְלֶךָrag/LE/khayour footאַל־יָנוּםal-ya/NUMwill not slumberשֹׁמְרֶךָ׃shom/RE/khaHe who keeps you

   He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלֹא־יָנוּםlo-ya/NUMwill not slumberוְלֹאve/LOand notיִישָׁןyi/SHANsleepשׁוֹמֵרsho/MERHe who keepsיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשֹׁמְרֶךָshom/RE/khais your keeperיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצִלְּךָtsil/le/KHAis your shadeעַל־יַדal-yaduponיְמִינֶךָ׃ye/mi/NE/khayour right hand

   The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

   יוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunלֹא־יַכֶּכָּהlo-yak/KEK/kashall not strike youוְיָרֵחַve/ya/RE/achnor the moonבַּלָּיְלָה׃bal/LAY/laby night

   The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיִשְׁמׇרְךָyish/mor/KHAwill keep youמִכׇּל־רָעmik/KOL-rafrom all evilיִשְׁמֹרyish/MORHe will keepאֶת־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃et-naf/SHE/khayour soul

   The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיִשְׁמׇר־צֵאתְךָyish/MOR-tse/te/KHAwill keep your going outוּבוֹאֶךָu/vo/E/khaand your coming inמֵעַתָּהme/at/TAfrom this timeוְעַד־עוֹלָם׃ve/AD-o/LAMand forever

   The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
