   To the chief Musician upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.

   הוֹשִׁיעָהho/SHI/asaveיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDכִּי־גָמַרki-ga/MARfor has ceasedחָסִידcha/SIDthe godly manכִּי־פַסּוּki-FAS/sufor have vanishedאֱמוּנִיםe/mu/NIMthe faithfulמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEfrom among the sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

   Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

   שָׁוְאshavfalsehoodיְדַבְּרוּye/dab/be/RUthey speakאִישׁisha manאֶת־רֵעֵהוּet-re/E/huhis neighborשְׂפַתse/FATwith lips ofחֲלָקוֹתcha/la/KOTflatteringבְּלֵבbe/LEVwith a heartוָלֵבva/LEVand a heartיְדַבֵּרוּ׃ye/dab/BE/ruthey speak

   They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

   יַכְרֵתyakh/RETmay cut offיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכׇּל־שִׂפְתֵיkol-sif/TEall the lips ofחֲלָקוֹתcha/la/KOTflatteringלָשׁוֹןla/SHONtongueמְדַבֶּרֶתme/dab/BE/retthat speaksגְּדֹלוֹת׃ge/do/LOTproud things

   The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאָמְרוּa/me/RUthey saidלִלְשֹׁנֵנוּlil/sho/NE/nuby our tongueנַגְבִּירnag/BIRwe will prevailשְׂפָתֵינוּse/fa/TE/nuour lipsאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuare with usמִיmiwhoאָדוֹןa/DONis lordלָנוּ׃LA/nuover us

   Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

   מִשֹּׁדmish/SHODfor the oppression ofעֲנִיִּיםa/niy/YIMthe poorמֵאֶנְקַתme/en/KATfor the groaning ofאֶבְיוֹנִיםev/yo/NIMthe needyעַתָּהat/TAnowאָקוּםa/KUMI will ariseיֹאמַרyo/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאָשִׁיתa/SHITI will set himבְּיֵשַׁעbe/YE/shain safetyיָפִיחַ־לוֹ׃ya/FI/ach-loat whom they puff

   For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

   אִמְרוֹתim/ROTthe words ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲמָרוֹתa/ma/ROTare wordsטְהֹרוֹתte/ho/ROTpureכֶּסֶףKE/sefsilverצָרוּףtsa/RUFtriedבַּעֲלִילba/a/LILin a crucibleלָאָרֶץla/A/retsof earthמְזֻקָּקme/zuk/KAKpurifiedשִׁבְעָתָיִם׃shiv/a/TA/yimsevenfold

   The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

   אַתָּה־יְהֹוָהat/TA-AdonaiYou O LORDתִּשְׁמְרֵםtish/me/REMwill keep themתִּצְּרֶנּוּtits/tse/REN/nuYou will preserve himמִן־הַדּוֹרmin-had/DORfrom this generationזוּzuthisלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

   Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

   סָבִיבsa/VIVall aroundרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedיִתְהַלָּכוּןyit/hal/la/KHUNwalk aboutכְּרֻםke/RUMwhen is exaltedזֻלּוּתzul/LUTvilenessלִבְנֵיliv/NEof the sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

   The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
