   To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

   כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedיִדְרְכוּןyid/re/KHUNthey bendקֶשֶׁתKE/sheta bowכּוֹנְנוּkon/NUthey make readyחִצָּםchits/TSAMtheir arrowעַל־יֶתֶרal-YE/teron the stringלִירוֹתli/ROTto shootבְּמוֹ־אֹפֶלbe/MO-O/felin darknessלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב׃le/yish/RE-levat the upright in heart

   For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

   כִּיkiifהַשָּׁתוֹתhash/sha/TOTthe foundationsיֵהָרֵסוּןye/ha/re/SUNare destroyedצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousמַה־פָּעָל׃ma-pa/ALwhat can he do

   If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּהֵיכַלbe/he/KHALin the temple ofקׇדְשׁוֹkod/SHOHis holinessיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensכִּסְאוֹkis/OHis throneעֵינָיוe/NAYVHis eyesיֶחֱזוּye/che/ZUbeholdעַפְעַפָּיוaf/ap/PAYVHis eyelidsיִבְחֲנוּyiv/cha/NUtestבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

   The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousיִבְחָןyiv/CHANtestsוְרָשָׁעve/ra/SHAand the wickedוְאֹהֵבve/o/HEVand him who lovesחָמָסcha/MASviolenceשָׂנְאָהsa/ne/Ahatesנַפְשׁוֹ׃naf/SHOHis soul

   The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

   יַמְטֵרyam/TERHe shall rainעַל־רְשָׁעִיםal-re/sha/IMupon the wickedפַּחִיםpa/CHIMsnaresאֵשׁeshfireוְגׇפְרִיתve/gof/RITand brimstoneוְרוּחַve/RU/achand a wind ofזִלְעָפוֹתzil/a/FOTburningמְנָתme/NATthe portion ofכּוֹסָם׃ko/SAMtheir cup

   Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

   כִּי־צַדִּיקki-tsad/DIKfor righteousיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְדָקוֹתtse/da/KOTrighteous deedsאָהֵבa/HEVHe lovesיָשָׁרya/SHARthe uprightיֶחֱזוּye/che/ZUshall beholdפָנֵימוֹ׃fa/NE/moHis face

   For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
