   הוֹדוּO give thanksלַיהֹוָהto the LORDכִּי־טוֹבfor He is goodכִּיbecauseלְעוֹלָםforeverחַסְדּוֹ׃His mercy

   O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

2. 2

   יֹאמַר־נָאlet now sayיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelכִּיthatלְעוֹלָםforeverחַסְדּוֹ׃His mercy

   Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

   יֹאמְרוּ־נָאlet now sayבֵית־אַהֲרֹןthe house of Aaronכִּיthatלְעוֹלָםforeverחַסְדּוֹ׃His mercy

   Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

   יֹאמְרוּ־נָאlet now sayיִרְאֵיthose who fearיְהֹוָהthe LORDכִּיthatלְעוֹלָםforeverחַסְדּוֹ׃His mercy

   Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

   מִן־הַמֵּצַרout of my distressקָרָאתִיI called uponיָּהּthe LORDעָנָנִיanswered meבַמֶּרְחָבand set me in a large placeיָהּ׃the LORD

   I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.

6. 6

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDלִיto meלֹאnotאִירָאwill I fearמַה־יַּעֲשֶׂהwhat can doלִיto meאָדָם׃man

   The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

7. 7

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDלִיto meבְּעֹזְרָיis with those who help meוַאֲנִיand Iאֶרְאֶהshall I lookבְשֹׂנְאָי׃upon those who hate me

   The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

   טוֹבit is betterלַחֲסוֹתto take refugeבַּיהֹוָהin the LORDמִבְּטֹחַthan to put confidenceבָּאָדָם׃in man

   It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

9. 9

   טוֹבit is betterלַחֲסוֹתto take refugeבַּיהֹוָהin the LORDמִבְּטֹחַthan to put confidenceבִּנְדִיבִים׃in princes

   It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

10. 10

    כׇּל־גּוֹיִםall nationsסְבָבוּנִיcompassed me aboutבְּשֵׁםin the name ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDכִּיbecauseאֲמִילַם׃will I cut them off

    All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

11. 11

    סַבּוּנִיthey compassed me aboutגַם־סְבָבוּנִיyea they compassed me aboutבְּשֵׁםin the name ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDכִּיbecauseאֲמִילַם׃will I cut them off

    They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

    סַבּוּנִיthey compassed me aboutכִדְבוֹרִיםlike beesדֹּעֲכוּthey are quenchedכְּאֵשׁas the fire ofקוֹצִיםthornsבְּשֵׁםin the name ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDכִּיforאֲמִילַם׃will I cut them off

    They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

13. 13

    דַּחֹהyou thrust soreדְחִיתַנִיat meלִנְפֹּלthat I might fallוַיהֹוָהand the LORDעֲזָרָנִי׃helped me

    Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

14. 14

    עׇזִּיmy strengthוְזִמְרָתand songיָהּthe LORDוַיְהִי־לִיand He is become to meלִישׁוּעָה׃salvation

    The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

15. 15

    קוֹלthe voice ofרִנָּהof rejoicingוִישׁוּעָהand salvationבְּאׇהֳלֵיin the tents ofצַדִּיקִיםthe righteousיְמִיןthe right hand ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDעֹשָׂהdoesחָיִל׃valiantly

    The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

16. 16

    יְמִיןthe right hand ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDרוֹמֵמָהis exaltedיְמִיןthe right hand ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDעֹשָׂהdoesחָיִל׃valiantly

    The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

17. 17

    לֹא־אָמוּתI shall not dieכִּי־אֶחְיֶהbut liveוַאֲסַפֵּרand declareמַעֲשֵׂיthe works ofיָהּ׃the LORD

    I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

18. 18

    יַסֹּרchastened soreיִסְּרַנִּיhas chastened meיָּהּthe LORDוְלַמָּוֶתbut to deathלֹאnotנְתָנָנִי׃has He given me over

    The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

19. 19

    פִּתְחוּ־לִיopen to meשַׁעֲרֵי־צֶדֶקthe gates of righteousnessאָבֹא־בָםI will go into themאוֹדֶהI will praiseיָהּ׃the LORD

    Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:

20. 20

    זֶה־הַשַּׁעַרthis is the gateלַיהֹוָהof the LORDצַדִּיקִיםthe righteousיָבֹאוּshall enterבוֹ׃into it

    This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

21. 21

    אוֹדְךָI will praise YouכִּיforעֲנִיתָנִיYou have answered meוַתְּהִי־לִיand are become to meלִישׁוּעָה׃salvation

    I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

22. 22

    אֶבֶןthe stone whichמָאֲסוּrejectedהַבּוֹנִיםthe buildersהָיְתָהis becomeלְרֹאשׁthe headפִּנָּה׃of the corner

    The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

23. 23

    מֵאֵתfromיְהֹוָהthe LORDהָיְתָהisזֹּאתthisהִיאit isנִפְלָאתit is marvelousבְּעֵינֵינוּ׃in our eyes

    This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

24. 24

    זֶה־הַיּוֹםthis is the dayעָשָׂהhas madeיְהֹוָהthe LORDנָגִילָהwe will rejoiceוְנִשְׂמְחָהand be gladבוֹ׃in it

    This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25. 25

    אָנָּאOיְהֹוָהthe LORDהוֹשִׁיעָהsaveנָּאnowאָנָּאOיְהֹוָהthe LORDהַצְלִיחָהsend prosperityנָּא׃now

    Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26. 26

    בָּרוּךְblessed isהַבָּאhe who comesבְּשֵׁםin the name ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDבֵּרַכְנוּכֶםwe have blessed youמִבֵּיתfrom the house ofיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

27. 27

    אֵלGod isיְהֹוָהthe LORDוַיָּאֶרand He has given lightלָנוּto usאִסְרוּ־חַגbind the sacrificeבַּעֲבֹתִיםwith cordsעַד־קַרְנוֹתto the horns ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃the altar

    God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

28. 28

    אֵלִיmy GodאַתָּהYou areוְאוֹדֶךָּand I will praise Youאֱלֹהַיmy Godאֲרוֹמְמֶךָּ׃I will extol You

    Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

29. 29

    הוֹדוּO give thanksלַיהֹוָהto the LORDכִּי־טוֹבfor He is goodכִּיbecauseלְעוֹלָםforeverחַסְדּוֹ׃His mercy

    O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
