   אָהַבְתִּיI love Himכִּי־יִשְׁמַעbecause has heardיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־קוֹלִיmy voiceתַּחֲנוּנָי׃my supplications

   I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

2. 2

   כִּי־הִטָּהbecause He has inclinedאׇזְנוֹHis earלִיto meוּבְיָמַיtherefore as long as I liveאֶקְרָא׃will I call upon Him

   Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

   אֲפָפוּנִיencompassed meחֶבְלֵי־מָוֶתpains of deathוּמְצָרֵיand the distresses ofשְׁאוֹלSheolמְצָאוּנִיtook hold of meצָרָהtroubleוְיָגוֹןand sorrowאֶמְצָא׃I found

   The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

   וּבְשֵׁם־יְהֹוָהand upon the name of the LORDאֶקְרָאI callאָנָּהOיְהֹוָהLORDמַלְּטָהdeliverנַפְשִׁי׃my soul

   Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

   חַנּוּןgracious isיְהֹוָהthe LORDוְצַדִּיקand righteousוֵאלֹהֵינוּyea our God isמְרַחֵם׃merciful

   Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

6. 6

   שֹׁמֵרpreservesפְּתָאיִםthe simpleיְהֹוָהthe LORDדַּלֹּתִיI was brought lowוְלִיand meיְהוֹשִׁיעַ׃He saved

   The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

7. 7

   שׁוּבִיreturnנַפְשִׁיO my soulלִמְנוּחָיְכִיto your restכִּי־יְהֹוָהfor the LORDגָּמַלhas dealt bountifullyעָלָיְכִי׃with you

   Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

   כִּיforחִלַּצְתָּYou have deliveredנַפְשִׁיmy soulמִמָּוֶתfrom deathאֶת־עֵינִיmy eyeמִן־דִּמְעָהfrom tearsאֶת־רַגְלִיmy footמִדֶּחִי׃from falling

   For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

   אֶתְהַלֵּךְI will walkלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּאַרְצוֹתin the land ofהַחַיִּים׃the living

   I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

    הֶאֱמַנְתִּיI believedכִּיbecauseאֲדַבֵּרI speakאֲנִיIעָנִיתִיI was afflictedמְאֹד׃greatly

    I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

    אֲנִיIאָמַרְתִּיI saidבְחׇפְזִיin my hasteכׇּל־הָאָדָםall men areכֹּזֵב׃liars

    I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12. 12

    מָה־אָשִׁיבwhat shall I renderלַיהֹוָהto the LORDכׇּל־תַּגְמוּלוֹהִיall His benefitsעָלָי׃toward me

    What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

13. 13

    כּוֹס־יְשׁוּעוֹתthe cup of salvationאֶשָּׂאI will takeוּבְשֵׁםand upon the name ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶקְרָא׃will call

    I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

14. 14

    נְדָרַיmy vowsלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֲשַׁלֵּםI shall repayנֶגְדָה־נָּאnow in the presence ofלְכׇל־עַמּוֹ׃all His people

    I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

15. 15

    יָקָרpreciousבְּעֵינֵיin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDהַמָּוְתָהis the deathלַחֲסִידָיו׃of His faithful ones

    Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

16. 16

    אָנָּהOיְהֹוָהLORDכִּי־אֲנִיtruly I amעַבְדֶּךָYour servantאֲנִי־עַבְדְּךָI am Your servantבֶּן־אֲמָתֶךָthe son of Your handmaidפִּתַּחְתָּYou have loosedלְמוֹסֵרָי׃my bonds

    O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

17. 17

    לְךָ־אֶזְבַּחI will offer to Youזֶבַחthe sacrifice ofתּוֹדָהthanksgivingוּבְשֵׁםand upon the name ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶקְרָא׃will call

    I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

18. 18

    נְדָרַיmy vowsלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֲשַׁלֵּםI shall repayנֶגְדָה־נָּאnow in the presence ofלְכׇל־עַמּוֹ׃all His people

    I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,

19. 19

    בְּחַצְרוֹתin the courts ofבֵּיתthe house ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּתוֹכֵכִיin the midst of youיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםJerusalemהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃praise the LORD

    In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
