   בְּצֵאתwhen went outיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelמִמִּצְרָיִםout of Egyptבֵּיתthe house ofיַעֲקֹבJacobמֵעַםfrom a people ofלֹעֵז׃strange language

   When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

   הָיְתָהbecameיְהוּדָהJudahלְקׇדְשׁוֹHis sanctuaryיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelמַמְשְׁלוֹתָיו׃His dominion

   Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

   הַיָּםthe seaרָאָהsaw itוַיָּנֹסand fledהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanיִסֹּבwas driven backלְאָחוֹר׃backward

   The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

   הֶהָרִיםthe mountainsרָקְדוּskippedכְאֵילִיםlike ramsגְּבָעוֹתthe little hillsכִּבְנֵי־צֹאן׃like lambs

   The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

   מַה־לְּךָwhat ails youהַיָּםthe seaכִּיthatתָנוּסyou fleeהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanתִּסֹּבyou are driven backלְאָחוֹר׃backward

   What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

   הֶהָרִיםthe mountainsתִּרְקְדוּyou skipכְאֵילִיםlike ramsגְּבָעוֹתyou little hillsכִּבְנֵי־צֹאן׃like lambs

   Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

   מִלִּפְנֵיfrom the presence ofאָדוֹןthe LordחוּלִיtrembleאָרֶץO earthמִלִּפְנֵיfrom the presence ofאֱלוֹהַּthe God ofיַעֲקֹב׃Jacob

   Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

   הַהֹפְכִיwho turnedהַצּוּרthe rockאֲגַם־מָיִםinto a pool of waterחַלָּמִישׁthe flintלְמַעְיְנוֹ־מָיִם׃into a fountain of waters

   Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
