   לַמְנַצֵּחַlam/nats/TSE/achto the chief musicianלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDof Davidמִזְמוֹרmiz/MORa psalmאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEO God ofתְהִלָּתִיte/hil/la/TImy praiseאַל־תֶּחֱרַשׁ׃al-te/che/RASHdo not be silent

   To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

2. 2

   כִּיkiforפִיfithe mouth ofרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedוּפִי־מִרְמָהu/FI-mir/MAand the mouth of deceitעָלַיa/LAYagainst meפָּתָחוּpa/TA/chuhave openedדִּבְּרוּdib/be/RUthey have spokenאִתִּיit/TIagainst meלְשׁוֹןle/SHONwith a tongue ofשָׁקֶר׃SHA/kerlying

   For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

   וְדִבְרֵיve/div/REand the words ofשִׂנְאָהsin/Ahatredסְבָבוּנִיse/va/VU/nithey surround meוַיִּלָּחֲמוּנִיvay/yil/la/cha/MU/niand fought against meחִנָּם׃chin/NAMwithout cause

   They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

   תַּחַת־אַהֲבָתִיTA/chat-a/ha/va/TIin return for my loveיִשְׂטְנוּנִיyis/te/NU/nithey are my adversariesוַאֲנִיva/a/NIbut I amתְפִלָּה׃te/fil/LAprayer

   For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

   וַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/muand they repayעָלַיa/LAYmeרָעָהra/AevilתַּחַתTA/chatin return forטוֹבָהto/VAgoodוְשִׂנְאָהve/sin/Aand hatredתַּחַתTA/chatin return forאַהֲבָתִי׃a/ha/va/TImy love

   And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

   הַפְקֵדhaf/KEDappointעָלָיוa/LAYVover himרָשָׁעra/SHAa wicked manוְשָׂטָןve/sa/TANand let an adversaryיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODstandעַל־יְמִינוֹ׃al-ye/mi/NOat his right hand

   Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

   בְּהִשָּׁפְטוֹbe/hish/SHAF/towhen he is judgedיֵצֵאye/TSElet him go outרָשָׁעra/SHAguiltyוּתְפִלָּתוֹu/te/fil/la/TOand his prayerתִּהְיֶהtih/YElet becomeלַחֲטָאָה׃la/cha/ta/Asin

   When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

   יִהְיוּ־יָמָיוyih/YU-ya/MAYVlet his days beמְעַטִּיםme/at/TIMfewפְּקֻדָּתוֹpe/kud/da/TOhis officeיִקַּחyik/KACHlet takeאַחֵר׃a/CHERanother

   Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

9. 9

   יִהְיוּ־בָנָיוyih/YU-va/NAYVlet his children beיְתוֹמִיםye/to/MIMfatherlessוְאִשְׁתּוֹve/ish/TOand his wifeאַלְמָנָה׃al/ma/NAa widow

   Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10. 10

    וְנוֹעַve/NO/awanderיָנוּעוּya/NU/ulet wanderבָנָיוva/NAYVhis childrenוְשִׁאֵלוּve/shi/E/luand begוְדָרְשׁוּve/da/re/SHUand let seekמֵחׇרְבוֹתֵיהֶם׃me/chor/vo/te/HEMout of their desolate places

    Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

11. 11

    יְנַקֵּשׁye/nak/KESHlet ensnareנוֹשֶׁהno/SHEthe creditorלְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹle/KHOL-a/SHER-loall that he hasוְיָבֹזּוּve/ya/VOZ/zuand let plunderזָרִיםza/RIMstrangersיְגִיעוֹ׃ye/gi/Ohis labor

    Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

12. 12

    אַל־יְהִי־לוֹal-ye/HI-lolet there be none for himמֹשֵׁךְmo/SHEKHextendingחָסֶדCHA/sedkindnessוְאַל־יְהִיve/AL-ye/HInor let there be anyחוֹנֵןcho/NENto favorלִיתוֹמָיו׃li/to/MAYVto his fatherless children

    Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

13. 13

    יְהִי־אַחֲרִיתוֹye/HI-a/cha/ri/TOlet his posterity beלְהַכְרִיתle/hakh/RITcut offבְּדוֹרbe/DORin the generationאַחֵרa/CHERfollowingיִמַּחyim/MACHlet be blotted outשְׁמָם׃she/MAMtheir name

    Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

14. 14

    יִזָּכֵרyiz/za/KHERlet be rememberedעֲוֺןa/VONthe iniquity ofאֲבֹתָיוa/vo/TAYVhis fathersאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDוְחַטַּאתve/chat/TATand the sin ofאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherאַל־תִּמָּח׃al-tim/MACHlet not be blotted out

    Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15. 15

    יִהְיוּyih/YUlet them beנֶגֶד־יְהֹוָהNE/ged-Adonaibefore the LORDתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyוְיַכְרֵתve/yakh/RETand may He cut offמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofזִכְרָם׃zikh/RAMthe memory of them

    Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16. 16

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotזָכַרza/KHARhe rememberedעֲשׂוֹתa/SOTto showחָסֶדCHA/sedkindnessוַיִּרְדֹּףvay/yir/DOFbut persecutedאִישׁ־עָנִיish-a/NIthe poor manוְאֶבְיוֹןve/ev/YONand needyוְנִכְאֵהve/nikh/Eand the broken inלֵבָבle/VAVheartלְמוֹתֵת׃le/mo/TETto slay them

    Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

17. 17

    וַיֶּאֱהַבvay/ye/e/HAVhe lovedקְלָלָהke/la/LAa curseוַתְּבוֹאֵהוּvat/te/vo/E/huand it came to himוְלֹא־חָפֵץve/LO-cha/FETSand he delighted notבִּבְרָכָהbiv/ra/KHAin blessingוַתִּרְחַקvat/tir/CHAKand it is farמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/MEN/nufrom him

    As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

18. 18

    וַיִּלְבַּשׁvay/yil/BASHhe clothed himself withקְלָלָהke/la/LAa curseכְּמַדּוֹke/mad/DOlike his garmentוַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand it cameכַמַּיִםkham/MA/yimlike waterבְּקִרְבּוֹbe/kir/BOinto his inward partsוְכַשֶּׁמֶןve/khash/SHE/menand like oilבְּעַצְמוֹתָיו׃be/ats/mo/TAYVin his bones

    As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

19. 19

    תְּהִי־לוֹte/HI-lolet it be to himכְּבֶגֶדke/VE/gedas a garmentיַעְטֶהya/TEwhich covers himוּלְמֵזַחu/le/ME/zachand for a beltתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyיַחְגְּרֶהָ׃yach/ge/RE/hawith which he is girded

    Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

20. 20

    זֹאתzotthisפְּעֻלַּתpe/ul/LATthe wages ofשֹׂטְנַיsot/NAYmy adversariesמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְהַדֹּבְרִיםve/had/dov/RIMand of those who speakרָעraevilעַל־נַפְשִׁי׃al-naf/SHIagainst my soul

    Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

21. 21

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAbut YouיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordעֲשֵׂה־אִתִּיa/SE-it/TIdeal with meלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofשְׁמֶךָshe/ME/khaYour nameכִּי־טוֹבki-tovfor good isחַסְדְּךָchas/de/KHAYour kindnessהַצִּילֵנִי׃hats/tsi/LE/nideliver me

    But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

22. 22

    כִּי־עָנִיki-a/NIfor I am poorוְאֶבְיוֹןve/ev/YONand needyאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIam Iוְלִבִּיve/lib/BIand my heartחָלַלcha/LALis woundedבְּקִרְבִּי׃be/kir/BIwithin me

    For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

23. 23

    כְּצֵל־כִּנְטוֹתוֹke/TSEL-kin/to/TOlike a shadow when it lengthensנֶהֱלָכְתִּיne/he/LAKH/tiI am goneנִנְעַרְתִּיnin/AR/tiI am shaken offכָּאַרְבֶּה׃ka/ar/BElike the locust

    I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

24. 24

    בִּרְכַּיbir/KAYmy kneesכָּשְׁלוּka/she/LUstumbleמִצּוֹםmits/TSOMthrough fastingוּבְשָׂרִיu/ve/sa/RIand my fleshכָּחַשׁka/CHASHhas grown leanמִשָּׁמֶן׃mish/SHA/menwithout fat

    My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

25. 25

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהָיִיתִיha/YI/tihave becomeחֶרְפָּהcher/PAa reproachלָהֶםla/HEMto themיִרְאוּנִיyir/U/niwhen they look at meיְנִיעוּןye/ni/UNthey shakeרֹאשָׁם׃ro/SHAMtheir heads

    I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

26. 26

    עׇזְרֵנִיoz/re/NIhelp meיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֱלֹהָיe/lo/HAYO my Godהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיho/shi/E/nisave meכְחַסְדֶּךָ׃khe/chas/DE/khaaccording to Your kindness

    Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

27. 27

    וְיֵדְעוּve/yed/Uthat they may knowכִּי־יָדְךָki-YAD/khathat Your handזֹּאתzotthis isאַתָּהat/TAthat YouיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDעֲשִׂיתָהּ׃a/si/TAhave done it

    That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

28. 28

    יְקַלְלוּ־הֵמָּהye/kal/LU-HEM/malet them curseוְאַתָּהve/at/TAbut Youתְבָרֵךְte/va/REKHblessקָמוּKA/muthey ariseוַיֵּבֹשׁוּvay/ye/VO/shuand are put to shameוְעַבְדְּךָve/av/de/KHAbut let Your servantיִשְׂמָח׃yis/MACHrejoice

    Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

29. 29

    יִלְבְּשׁוּyil/be/SHUlet be clothedשׂוֹטְנַיsot/NAYmy adversariesכְּלִמָּהke/lim/MAwith shameוְיַעֲטוּve/ya/a/TUand let wrap themselvesכַמְעִילkham/ILas with a mantleבׇּשְׁתָּם׃bosh/TAMwith their own confusion

    Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

30. 30

    אוֹדֶהo/DEI will give thanksיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמְאֹדme/ODgreatlyבְּפִיbe/FIwith my mouthוּבְתוֹךְu/ve/TOKHand amongרַבִּיםrab/BIMthe multitudeאֲהַלְלֶנּוּ׃a/hal/LEN/nuI will praise Him

    I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

31. 31

    כִּי־יַעֲמֹדki-ya/a/MODfor He shall standלִימִיןli/MINat the right hand ofאֶבְיוֹןev/YONthe needyלְהוֹשִׁיעַle/ho/SHI/ato saveמִשֹּׁפְטֵיmish/shof/TEfrom those who judgeנַפְשׁוֹ׃naf/SHOhis soul

    For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.
