   שִׁירa songמִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִד׃of David

   A Song or Psalm of David.

2. 2

   נָכוֹןis steadfastלִבִּיmy heartאֱלֹהִיםO GodאָשִׁירָהI will singוַאֲזַמְּרָהand will sing praiseאַף־כְּבוֹדִי׃even with my glory

   O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

   עוּרָהawakeהַנֵּבֶלthe harpוְכִנּוֹרand lyreאָעִירָהI will awakeשָּׁחַר׃the dawn

   Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

4. 4

   אוֹדְךָI will praise Youבָעַמִּיםamong the peoplesיְהֹוָהO LORDוַאֲזַמֶּרְךָand I will sing to Youבַּלְאֻמִּים׃among the nations

   I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

   כִּי־גָדוֹלfor great isמֵעַל־שָׁמַיִםabove the heavensחַסְדֶּךָis Your mercyוְעַד־שְׁחָקִיםand to the cloudsאֲמִתֶּךָ׃Your faithfulness

   For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

   רוּמָהbe exaltedעַל־שָׁמַיִםabove the heavensאֱלֹהִיםO Godוְעַלand aboveכׇּל־הָאָרֶץall the earthכְּבוֹדֶךָ׃Your glory

   Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

   לְמַעַןthatיֵחָלְצוּןmay be deliveredיְדִידֶיךָYour beloved onesהוֹשִׁיעָהsaveיְמִינְךָwith Your right handוַעֲנֵנִי׃and answer me

   That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

   אֱלֹהִיםGodדִּבֶּרspokeבְּקׇדְשׁוֹin His holinessאֶעְלֹזָהI will rejoiceאֲחַלְּקָהI will divide upשְׁכֶםShechemוְעֵמֶקand the valley ofסֻכּוֹתSuccothאֲמַדֵּד׃I will measure out

   God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

   לִיto meגִלְעָדGileadלִיto meמְנַשֶּׁהManassehוְאֶפְרַיִםand Ephraimמָעוֹזis the strength ofרֹאשִׁיmy headיְהוּדָהJudahמְחֹקְקִי׃is my scepter

   Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

    מוֹאָבMoabסִירthe pot ofרַחְצִיmy washingעַל־אֱדוֹםupon Edomאַשְׁלִיךְwill I castנַעֲלִיmy shoeעֲלֵי־פְלֶשֶׁתover Philistiaאֶתְרוֹעָע׃will I shout in triumph

    Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

11. 11

    מִיwhoיֹבִלֵנִיwill bring me intoעִירthe cityמִבְצָרfortifiedמִיwhoנָחַנִיwill lead meעַד־אֱדוֹם׃unto Edom

    Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

12. 12

    הֲלֹא־אֱלֹהִיםhave not You O Godזְנַחְתָּנוּcast us offוְלֹא־תֵצֵאand You go not forthאֱלֹהִיםO Godבְּצִבְאֹתֵינוּ׃with our armies

    Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

13. 13

    הָבָה־לָּנוּgive usעֶזְרָתhelpמִצָּרagainst the foeוְשָׁוְאfor vain isתְּשׁוּעַתthe help ofאָדָם׃man

    Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

14. 14

    בֵּאלֹהִיםin Godנַעֲשֶׂה־חָיִלwe shall do valiantlyוְהוּאand He it is whoיָבוּסwill tread downצָרֵינוּ׃our enemies

    Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
