   הַלְלוּ־יָהּHAL/lu-yapraise the LORDהוֹדוּho/DUgive thanksלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDכִּי־טוֹבki-tovfor He is goodכִּיkiforלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverחַסְדּוֹ׃chas/DOHis kindness

   Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

2. 2

   מִיmiwhoיְמַלֵּלye/mal/LELcan utterגְּבוּרוֹתge/vu/ROTthe mighty acts ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיַשְׁמִיעַyash/MI/amake heardכׇּל־תְּהִלָּתוֹ׃kol-te/hil/la/TOall His praise

   Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?

3. 3

   אַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed areשֹׁמְרֵיshom/REthose who keepמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjusticeעֹשֵׂהo/SEwho doesצְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessבְכׇל־עֵת׃ve/KHOL-etat all times

   Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

   זׇכְרֵנִיzokh/RE/niremember meיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDבִּרְצוֹןbir/TSONin the favor ofעַמֶּךָam/ME/khaYour peopleפׇּקְדֵנִיpok/DE/nivisit meבִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ׃bi/shu/a/TE/khain Your salvation

   Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;

   לִרְאוֹתlir/OTthat I may seeבְּטוֹבַתbe/to/VATthe good ofבְּחִירֶיךָbe/chi/RE/khaYour chosen onesלִשְׂמֹחַlis/MO/achthat I may rejoiceבְּשִׂמְחַתbe/sim/CHATin the gladness ofגּוֹיֶךָgo/YE/khaYour nationלְהִתְהַלֵּלle/hit/hal/LELthat I may gloryעִם־נַחֲלָתֶךָ׃im-na/cha/la/TE/khawith Your inheritance

   That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

   חָטָאנוּcha/TA/nuwe have sinnedעִם־אֲבוֹתֵינוּim-a/vo/TE/nuwith our fathersהֶעֱוִינוּhe/e/VI/nuwe have done iniquityהִרְשָׁעְנוּ׃hir/SHA/nuwe have done wickedly

   We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

   אֲבוֹתֵינוּa/vo/TE/nuour fathersבְמִצְרַיִםve/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptלֹא־הִשְׂכִּילוּlo-his/KI/ludid not understandנִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָnif/le/o/TE/khaYour wondersלֹאlonotזָכְרוּza/khe/RUdid they rememberאֶת־רֹבet-rovthe multitude ofחֲסָדֶיךָcha/sa/DE/khaYour kindnessesוַיַּמְרוּvay/yam/RUbut rebelledעַל־יָםal-yamat the seaבְּיַם־סוּף׃be/YAM-sufin the Red Sea

   Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.

   וַיּוֹשִׁיעֵםvay/yo/shi/EMyet He saved themלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofשְׁמוֹshe/MOHis nameלְהוֹדִיעַle/ho/DI/ato make knownאֶת־גְּבוּרָתוֹ׃et-ge/vu/ra/TOHis mighty power

   Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

9. 9

   וַיִּגְעַרvay/yig/ARand He rebukedבְּיַם־סוּףbe/YAM-sufthe Red Seaוַיֶּחֱרָבvay/ye/che/RAVand it was dried upוַיּוֹלִיכֵםvay/yo/li/KHEMso He led themבַּתְּהֹמוֹתbat/te/ho/MOTthrough the depthsכַּמִּדְבָּר׃kam/mid/BARas through a wilderness

   He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

10. 10

    וַיּוֹשִׁיעֵםvay/yo/shi/EMand He saved themמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofשׂוֹנֵאso/NEthe haterוַיִּגְאָלֵםvay/yig/a/LEMand He redeemed themמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofאוֹיֵב׃o/YEVthe enemy

    And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11. 11

    וַיְכַסּוּ־מַיִםvay/khas/SU-MA/yimand the waters coveredצָרֵיהֶםtsa/re/HEMtheir enemiesאֶחָדe/CHADoneמֵהֶםme/HEMof themלֹאlonotנוֹתָר׃no/TARwas left

    And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

12. 12

    וַיַּאֲמִינוּvay/ya/a/MI/nuthen they believedבִדְבָרָיוvid/va/RAYVHis wordsיָשִׁירוּya/SHI/ruthey sangתְּהִלָּתוֹ׃te/hil/la/TOHis praise

    Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

13. 13

    מִהֲרוּmi/ha/RUquicklyשָׁכְחוּsha/khe/CHUforgotמַעֲשָׂיוma/a/SAYVHis worksלֹא־חִכּוּlo-chik/KUthey did not waitלַעֲצָתוֹ׃la/a/tsa/TOfor His counsel

    They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:

14. 14

    וַיִּתְאַוּוּvay/yit/av/VUand they cravedתַאֲוָהta/a/VAa cravingבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessוַיְנַסּוּ־אֵלvay/nas/SU-eland tested Godבִּישִׁימוֹן׃bi/shi/MONin the desert

    But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

15. 15

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand He gaveלָהֶםla/HEMto themשֶׁאֱלָתָםshe/e/la/TAMtheir requestוַיְשַׁלַּחvay/shal/LACHbut sentרָזוֹןra/ZONleannessבְּנַפְשָׁם׃be/naf/SHAMinto their soul

    And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

16. 16

    וַיְקַנְאוּvay/kan/Uthey enviedלְמֹשֶׁהLe/mo/SHEMosesבַּמַּחֲנֶהbam/ma/cha/NEin the campלְאַהֲרֹןLe/a/ha/RONAaronקְדוֹשׁke/DOSHthe holy one ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.

17. 17

    תִּפְתַּח־אֶרֶץtif/TACH-E/retsthe earth openedוַתִּבְלַעvat/tiv/LAand swallowed upדָּתָןDa/TANDathanוַתְּכַסvat/te/KHASand coveredעַל־עֲדַתal-a/DATthe company ofאֲבִירָם׃A/vi/RAMAbiram

    The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.

18. 18

    וַתִּבְעַר־אֵשׁvat/tiv/AR-eshand a fire was kindledבַּעֲדָתָםba/a/da/TAMamong their companyלֶהָבָהle/ha/VAthe flameתְּלַהֵטte/la/HETburned upרְשָׁעִים׃re/sha/IMthe wicked

    And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.

19. 19

    יַעֲשׂוּ־עֵגֶלya/a/SU-E/gelthey made a calfבְּחֹרֵבbe/Cho/REVin Horebוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּvay/yish/ta/cha/VUand they worshipedלְמַסֵּכָה׃le/mas/se/KHAto a molten image

    They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.

20. 20

    וַיָּמִירוּvay/ya/MI/ruand they exchangedאֶת־כְּבוֹדָםet-ke/vo/DAMtheir gloryבְּתַבְנִיתbe/tav/NITinto the likeness ofשׁוֹרshoran oxאֹכֵלo/KHELthat eatsעֵשֶׂב׃E/sevgrass

    Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

21. 21

    שָׁכְחוּsha/khe/CHUthey forgotאֵלelGodמוֹשִׁיעָםMo/shi/AMtheir Saviorעֹשֶׂהo/SEwho had doneגְדֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreat thingsבְּמִצְרָיִם׃be/Mits/RA/yimin Egypt

    They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

22. 22

    נִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTwondrous worksבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofחָםChamHamנוֹרָאוֹתno/ra/OTawesome thingsעַל־יַם־סוּף׃al-Yam-sufby the Red Sea

    Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.

23. 23

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand He saidלְהַשְׁמִידָםle/hash/mi/DAMHe would destroy themלוּלֵיlu/LEhad notמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesבְחִירוֹve/chi/ROHis chosenעָמַדa/MADstoodבַּפֶּרֶץbap/PE/retsin the breachלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore Himלְהָשִׁיבle/ha/SHIVto turn awayחֲמָתוֹcha/ma/TOHis wrathמֵהַשְׁחִית׃me/hash/CHITfrom destroying

    Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.

24. 24

    וַיִּמְאֲסוּvay/yim/a/SUand they despisedבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsthe land ofחֶמְדָּהchem/DAdelightלֹא־הֶאֱמִינוּlo-he/e/MI/nuthey believed notלִדְבָרוֹ׃lid/va/ROHis word

    Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:

25. 25

    וַיֵּרָגְנוּvay/ye/ra/ge/NUand they grumbledבְאׇהֳלֵיהֶםve/o/ho/le/HEMin their tentsלֹאlonotשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Udid they listen toבְּקוֹלbe/KOLthe voice ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

26. 26

    וַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAso He lifted upיָדוֹya/DOHis handלָהֶםla/HEMagainst themלְהַפִּילle/hap/PILto make fallאוֹתָםo/TAMthemבַּמִּדְבָּר׃bam/mid/BARin the wilderness

    Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:

27. 27

    וּלְהַפִּילu/le/hap/PILand to make fallזַרְעָםzar/AMtheir offspringבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsוּלְזָרוֹתָםu/le/za/ro/TAMand to scatter themבָּאֲרָצוֹת׃ba/a/ra/TSOTin the lands

    To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.

28. 28

    וַיִּצָּמְדוּvay/yits/TSAM/duand they joined themselvesלְבַעַלle/VA/alto Baal-פְּעוֹרpe/ORpeorוַיֹּאכְלוּvay/yo/khe/LUand they ateזִבְחֵיziv/CHEthe sacrifices ofמֵתִים׃me/TIMthe dead

    They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

29. 29

    וַיַּכְעִיסוּvay/yakh/i/SUand they provokedבְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶםbe/ma/al/le/HEMwith their doingsוַתִּפְרׇץ־בָּםvat/tif/ROTS-bamand broke out among themמַגֵּפָה׃mag/ge/FAa plague

    Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.

30. 30

    וַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODthen stood upפִּינְחָסPi/ne/CHASPhinehasוַיְפַלֵּלvay/fal/LELand intervenedוַתֵּעָצַרvat/te/a/TSARand was stoppedהַמַּגֵּפָה׃ham/mag/ge/FAthe plague

    Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.

31. 31

    וַתֵּחָשֶׁבvat/te/CHA/shevand that was countedלוֹloto himלִצְדָקָהlits/da/KAfor righteousnessלְדֹרle/DORto generationוָדֹרva/DORand generationעַד־עוֹלָם׃ad-o/LAMforever

    And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.

32. 32

    וַיַּקְצִיפוּvay/yak/tsi/FUand they angeredעַל־מֵיal-meat the waters ofמְרִיבָהMe/ri/VAMeribahוַיֵּרַעvay/YE/raso that it went illלְמֹשֶׁהle/Mo/SHEwith Mosesבַּעֲבוּרָם׃ba/a/vu/RAMfor their sakes

    They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:

33. 33

    כִּי־הִמְרוּki-him/RUfor they rebelled againstאֶת־רוּחוֹet-ru/CHOhis spiritוַיְבַטֵּאvay/vat/TEso that he spoke rashlyבִּשְׂפָתָיו׃bis/fa/TAYVwith his lips

    Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.

34. 34

    לֹא־הִשְׁמִידוּlo-hish/mi/DUthey did not destroyאֶת־הָעַמִּיםet-ha/am/MIMthe peoplesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasאָמַרa/MARhad saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלָהֶם׃la/HEMthem

    They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:

35. 35

    וַיִּתְעָרְבוּvay/yit/a/re/VUbut mingledבַגּוֹיִםvag/go/YIMamong the nationsוַיִּלְמְדוּvay/yil/me/DUand they learnedמַעֲשֵׂיהֶם׃ma/a/se/HEMtheir works

    But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.

36. 36

    וַיַּעַבְדוּvay/ya/av/DUand they servedאֶת־עֲצַבֵּיהֶםet-a/tsab/be/HEMtheir idolsוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUwhich becameלָהֶםla/HEMto themלְמוֹקֵשׁ׃le/mo/KESHa snare

    And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.

37. 37

    וַיִּזְבְּחוּvay/yiz/be/CHUand they sacrificedאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶםet-be/ne/HEMtheir sonsוְאֶת־בְּנוֹתֵיהֶםve/ET-be/no/te/HEMand their daughtersלַשֵּׁדִים׃lash/SHE/dimto the demons

    Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,

38. 38

    וַיִּשְׁפְּכוּvay/yish/pe/KHUand shedדָםdambloodנָקִיna/KIinnocentדַּם־בְּנֵיהֶםdam-be/ne/HEMblood of their sonsוּבְנוֹתֵיהֶםu/ve/no/te/HEMand their daughtersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichזִבְּחוּzib/be/CHUthey sacrificedלַעֲצַבֵּיla/a/tsab/BEto the idols ofכְנָעַןKhe/NA/anCanaanוַתֶּחֱנַףvat/te/che/NAFand was pollutedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landבַּדָּמִים׃bad/da/MIMwith blood

    And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

39. 39

    וַיִּטְמְאוּvay/yit/me/Uthus were they defiledבְמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםve/ma/a/se/HEMwith their worksוַיִּזְנוּvay/yiz/NUand prostituted themselvesבְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶם׃be/ma/al/le/HEMwith their doings

    Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.

40. 40

    וַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afso was kindled the anger ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּעַמּוֹbe/am/MOagainst His peopleוַיְתָעֵבvay/ta/EVand He abhorredאֶת־נַחֲלָתוֹ׃et-na/cha/la/TOHis own inheritance

    Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

41. 41

    וַיִּתְּנֵםvay/yit/te/NEMand He gave themבְּיַד־גּוֹיִםbe/YAD-go/YIMinto the hand of the nationsוַיִּמְשְׁלוּvay/yim/she/LUand they ruledבָהֶםva/HEMover themשֹׂנְאֵיהֶם׃son/e/HEMthose who hated them

    And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.

42. 42

    וַיִּלְחָצוּםvay/yil/cha/TSUMand oppressed themאוֹיְבֵיהֶםoy/ve/HEMtheir enemiesוַיִּכָּנְעוּvay/yik/ka/ne/Uand they were humbledתַּחַתTA/chatunderיָדָם׃ya/DAMtheir hand

    Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

43. 43

    פְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyיַצִּילֵםyats/tsi/LEMdid He deliver themוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/mabut theyיַמְרוּyam/RUrebelledבַעֲצָתָםva/a/tsa/TAMwith their counselוַיָּמֹכּוּvay/ya/MOK/kuand sank lowבַּעֲוֺנָם׃ba/a/vo/NAMin their iniquity

    Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.

44. 44

    וַיַּרְאvay/YARand He lookedבַּצַּרbats/TSARon the distressלָהֶםla/HEMof themבְּשׇׁמְעוֹbe/shom/Owhen He heardאֶת־רִנָּתָם׃et-rin/na/TAMtheir cry

    Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:

45. 45

    וַיִּזְכֹּרvay/yiz/KORand He rememberedלָהֶםla/HEMfor themבְּרִיתוֹbe/ri/TOHis covenantוַיִּנָּחֵםvay/yin/na/CHEMand relentedכְּרֹבke/ROVaccording to the multitude ofחֲסָדָו׃cha/sa/DAVHis kindnesses

    And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

46. 46

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand He madeאוֹתָםo/TAMthemלְרַחֲמִיםle/ra/cha/MIMto compassionלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeכׇּל־שׁוֹבֵיהֶם׃kol-sho/ve/HEMall their captors

    He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.

47. 47

    הוֹשִׁיעֵנוּho/shi/E/nusave usיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godוְקַבְּצֵנוּve/kab/be/TSE/nuand gather usמִן־הַגּוֹיִםmin-hag/go/YIMfrom among the nationsלְהֹדוֹתle/ho/DOTto give thanksלְשֵׁםle/SHEMto the name ofקׇדְשֶׁךָkod/SHE/khaYour holinessלְהִשְׁתַּבֵּחַle/hish/tab/BE/achto gloryבִּתְהִלָּתֶךָ׃bit/hil/la/TE/khain Your praise

    Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.

48. 48

    בָּרוּךְ־יְהֹוָהba/RUKH-Adonaiblessed be the LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמִן־הָעוֹלָםmin-ha/o/LAMfrom everlastingוְעַדve/ADand toהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMeverlastingוְאָמַרve/a/MARand let sayכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleאָמֵןa/MENamenהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃HAL/lu-yapraise the LORD

    Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.
