   הוֹדוּO give thanksלַיהֹוָהto the LORDקִרְאוּcall uponבִשְׁמוֹHis nameהוֹדִיעוּmake knownבָעַמִּיםamong the peoplesעֲלִילוֹתָיו׃His deeds

   O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

   שִׁירוּ־לוֹsing to Himזַמְּרוּ־לוֹsing psalms to Himשִׂיחוּtalk ofבְּכׇל־נִפְלְאוֹתָיו׃all His wondrous works

   Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

   הִתְהַלְלוּgloryבְּשֵׁםin the name ofקׇדְשׁוֹHis holinessיִשְׂמַחlet rejoiceלֵבthe heart ofמְבַקְשֵׁיwho seekיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

   Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

   דִּרְשׁוּseekיְהֹוָהthe LORDוְעֻזּוֹand His strengthבַּקְּשׁוּseekפָנָיוHis faceתָּמִיד׃continually

   Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

5. 5

   זִכְרוּrememberנִפְלְאוֹתָיוHis marvelous worksאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהwhich He has doneמֹפְתָיוHis wondersוּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִיו׃and the judgments of His mouth

   Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

   זֶרַעO seed ofאַבְרָהָםAbrahamעַבְדּוֹHis servantבְּנֵיyou children ofיַעֲקֹבJacobבְּחִירָיו׃His chosen

   O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

   הוּאHe isיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץare in all the earthמִשְׁפָּטָיו׃His judgments

   He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

8. 8

   זָכַרHe has rememberedלְעוֹלָםforeverבְּרִיתוֹHis covenantדָּבָרthe wordצִוָּהwhich He commandedלְאֶלֶףto a thousandדּוֹר׃generations

   He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

   אֲשֶׁרwhichכָּרַתHe madeאֶת־אַבְרָהָםwith Abrahamוּשְׁבוּעָתוֹand His oathלְיִשְׂחָק׃to Isaac

   Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

10. 10

    וַיַּעֲמִידֶהָand He confirmed itלְיַעֲקֹבto Jacobלְחֹקfor a statuteלְיִשְׂרָאֵלto Israelבְּרִיתa covenantעוֹלָם׃everlasting

    And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

    לֵאמֹרsayingלְךָto youאֶתֵּןI will giveאֶת־אֶרֶץ־כְּנָעַןland of Canaanחֶבֶלthe lot ofנַחֲלַתְכֶם׃your inheritance

    Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

    בִּהְיוֹתָםwhen they wereמְתֵיbut a few menמִסְפָּרin numberכִּמְעַטyea very fewוְגָרִיםand strangersבָּהּ׃in it

    When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

13. 13

    וַיִּתְהַלְּכוּwhen they wentמִגּוֹיfrom nationאֶל־גּוֹיto nationמִמַּמְלָכָהfrom one kingdomאֶל־עַםto another peopleאַחֵר׃another

    When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

14. 14

    לֹא־הִנִּיחַHe suffered noאָדָםmanלְעׇשְׁקָםto do them wrongוַיּוֹכַחyea He reprovedעֲלֵיהֶםfor their sakesמְלָכִים׃kings

    He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15. 15

    אַל־תִּגְּעוּdo not touchבִמְשִׁיחָיMy anointedוְלִנְבִיאַיand to My prophetsאַל־תָּרֵעוּ׃do no harm

    Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

16. 16

    וַיִּקְרָאmoreover He calledרָעָבa famineעַל־הָאָרֶץupon the landכׇּל־מַטֵּה־לֶחֶםthe whole staff of breadשָׁבָר׃He broke

    Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

17. 17

    שָׁלַחHe sentלִפְנֵיהֶםbefore themאִישׁa manלְעֶבֶדfor a servantנִמְכַּרwas soldיוֹסֵף׃Joseph

    He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

18. 18

    עִנּוּthey hurtבַכֶּבֶלwith fetters(רגליו)[רַגְלוֹ]his feetבַּרְזֶלinto ironבָּאָהhe was laidנַפְשׁוֹ׃his soul

    Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

19. 19

    עַד־עֵתuntil the time thatבֹּא־דְבָרוֹhis word came to passאִמְרַתthe word ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDצְרָפָתְהוּ׃tested him

    Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

20. 20

    שָׁלַחsentמֶלֶךְthe kingוַיַּתִּירֵהוּand loosed himמֹשֵׁלthe ruler ofעַמִּיםthe peoplesוַיְפַתְּחֵהוּ׃and let him go free

    The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

21. 21

    שָׂמוֹhe made himאָדוֹןlordלְבֵיתוֹof his houseוּמֹשֵׁלand rulerבְּכׇל־קִנְיָנוֹ׃of all his possessions

    He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

22. 22

    לֶאְסֹרto bindשָׂרָיוhis princesבְּנַפְשׁוֹat his pleasureוּזְקֵנָיוand his eldersיְחַכֵּם׃teach wisdom

    To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

23. 23

    וַיָּבֹאand came intoיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelמִצְרָיִםEgyptוְיַעֲקֹבand Jacobגָּרsojournedבְּאֶרֶץ־חָם׃in the land of Ham

    Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24. 24

    וַיֶּפֶרand He increasedאֶת־עַמּוֹHis peopleמְאֹדgreatlyוַיַּעֲצִמֵהוּand made them strongerמִצָּרָיו׃than their enemies

    And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

25. 25

    הָפַךְHe turnedלִבָּםtheir heartלִשְׂנֹאto hateעַמּוֹHis peopleלְהִתְנַכֵּלto deal craftilyבַּעֲבָדָיו׃with His servants

    He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

26. 26

    שָׁלַחHe sentמֹשֶׁהMosesעַבְדּוֹHis servantאַהֲרֹןAaronאֲשֶׁרwhichבָּחַר־בּוֹ׃He had chosen

    He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

27. 27

    שָׂמוּ־בָםthey set among themדִּבְרֵיthe words ofאֹתוֹתָיוHis signsוּמֹפְתִיםand wondersבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofחָם׃Ham

    They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

28. 28

    שָׁלַחHe sentחֹשֶׁךְdarknessוַיַּחְשִׁךְand made it darkוְלֹא־מָרוּand they rebelled not againstאֶת־[דְּבָרוֹ]His word(דבריו)׃

    He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

    הָפַךְHe turnedאֶת־מֵימֵיהֶםtheir watersלְדָםinto bloodוַיָּמֶתand slewאֶת־דְּגָתָם׃their fish

    He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

30. 30

    שָׁרַץbrought forth in abundanceאַרְצָםtheir landצְפַרְדְּעִיםfrogsבְּחַדְרֵיin the chambers ofמַלְכֵיהֶם׃their kings

    Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

31. 31

    אָמַרHe spokeוַיָּבֹאand there cameעָרֹבswarms of fliesכִּנִּיםand liceבְּכׇל־גְּבוּלָם׃in all their territory

    He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

32. 32

    נָתַןHe gave themגִּשְׁמֵיהֶםfor their rainבָּרָדhailאֵשׁfireלֶהָבוֹתflamingבְּאַרְצָם׃in their land

    He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

33. 33

    וַיַּךְHe struckגַּפְנָםtheir vinesוּתְאֵנָתָםand their fig treesוַיְשַׁבֵּרand brokeעֵץthe trees ofגְּבוּלָם׃their territory

    He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

34. 34

    אָמַרHe spokeוַיָּבֹאand there cameאַרְבֶּהlocustsוְיֶלֶקand caterpillarsוְאֵיןand there is noמִסְפָּר׃number

    He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

35. 35

    וַיֹּאכַלand they ate upכׇּל־עֵשֶׂבall the herbsבְּאַרְצָםin their landוַיֹּאכַלand they ate upפְּרִיthe fruit ofאַדְמָתָם׃their ground

    And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36. 36

    וַיַּךְHe struck alsoכׇּל־בְּכוֹרall the firstborn ofבְּאַרְצָםin their landרֵאשִׁיתthe first ofלְכׇל־אוֹנָם׃of all their strength

    He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37. 37

    וַיּוֹצִיאֵםand He brought them outבְּכֶסֶףwith silverוְזָהָבand goldוְאֵיןand there was notבִּשְׁבָטָיוamong His tribesכּוֹשֵׁל׃one feeble person

    He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

38. 38

    שָׂמַחwas gladמִצְרַיִםEgyptבְּצֵאתָםwhen they departedכִּי־נָפַלfor fellפַּחְדָּםthe dread of themעֲלֵיהֶם׃upon them

    Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

39. 39

    פָּרַשׂHe spreadעָנָןa cloudלְמָסָךְfor a coveringוְאֵשׁand fireלְהָאִירto give lightלָיְלָה׃in the night

    He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

40. 40

    שָׁאַלthey askedוַיָּבֵאand He broughtשְׂלָוquailוְלֶחֶםand with the bread ofשָׁמַיִםthe heavensיַשְׂבִּיעֵם׃He satisfied them

    The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41. 41

    פָּתַחHe openedצוּרthe rockוַיָּזוּבוּand the waters gushed outמָיִםwaterהָלְכוּthey ranבַּצִּיּוֹתin the dry placesנָהָר׃like a river

    He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

42. 42

    כִּי־זָכַרfor He rememberedאֶת־דְּבַרthe word ofקׇדְשׁוֹHis holinessאֶת־אַבְרָהָםwith Abrahamעַבְדּוֹ׃His servant

    For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

43. 43

    וַיּוֹצִאand He brought forthעַמּוֹHis peopleבְשָׂשׂוֹןwith joyבְּרִנָּהwith singingאֶת־בְּחִירָיו׃His chosen

    And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

44. 44

    וַיִּתֵּןand He gaveלָהֶםto themאַרְצוֹתthe lands ofגּוֹיִםthe nationsוַעֲמַלand the labor ofלְאֻמִּיםthe peoplesיִירָשׁוּ׃they inherited

    And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

45. 45

    בַּעֲבוּרthatיִשְׁמְרוּthey might keepחֻקָּיוHis statutesוְתוֹרֹתָיוand His lawsיִנְצֹרוּobserveהַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃praise the LORD

    That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
