1. 1

   לְדָוִדof Davidמִזְמוֹרa psalmחֶסֶד־וּמִשְׁפָּטmercy and judgmentאָשִׁירָהI will singלְךָto YouיְהֹוָהO LORDאֲזַמֵּרָה׃I will sing praises

   A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

2. 2

   אַשְׂכִּילָהI will behave wiselyבְּדֶרֶךְin the wayתָּמִיםblamelessמָתַיwhenתָּבוֹאwill You comeאֵלָיto meאֶתְהַלֵּךְI will walkבְּתׇם־לְבָבִיwith integrity of heartבְּקֶרֶבwithinבֵּיתִי׃my house

   I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

   לֹא־אָשִׁיתI will set noלְנֶגֶדbeforeעֵינַיmy eyesדְּבַר־בְּלִיָּעַלwicked thingעֲשֹׂה־סֵטִיםthe work of those who turn asideשָׂנֵאתִיI hateלֹאnotיִדְבַּקshall it clingבִּי׃to me

   I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

   לֵבָבa heartעִקֵּשׁperverseיָסוּרshall departמִמֶּנִּיfrom meרָעa wicked personלֹאnotאֵדָע׃will I know

   A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

5. 5

   [מְלׇשְׁנִי]whoever slandersבַסֵּתֶרin secretרֵעֵהוּhis neighborאוֹתוֹhimאַצְמִיתhim will I cut offגְּבַהּ־עֵינַיִםhim who has a haughty lookוּרְחַבand a proudלֵבָבheartאֹתוֹhimלֹאnotאוּכׇל׃will I endure

   Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

   עֵינַיmy eyes shall beבְּנֶאֶמְנֵי־אֶרֶץupon the faithful of the landלָשֶׁבֶתthat they may dwellעִמָּדִיwith meהֹלֵךְhe who walksבְּדֶרֶךְin the wayתָּמִיםblamelessהוּאheיְשָׁרְתֵנִי׃shall serve me

   Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

   לֹא־יֵשֵׁבshall not dwellבְּקֶרֶבamongבֵּיתִיmy houseעֹשֵׂהhe who practicesרְמִיָּהdeceitדֹּבֵרhe who tellsשְׁקָרִיםliesלֹא־יִכּוֹןshall not remainלְנֶגֶדbeforeעֵינָי׃my eyes

   He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

8. 8

   לַבְּקָרִיםevery morningאַצְמִיתI will destroyכׇּל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץall the wicked of the landלְהַכְרִיתto cut offמֵעִיר־יְהֹוָהfrom the city of the LORDכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיall workers ofאָוֶן׃iniquity

   I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
