   חַכְמוֹתchakh/MOTthe wise amongנָשִׁיםna/SHIMwomenבָּנְתָהba/ne/TAshe has builtבֵיתָהּve/TAher houseוְאִוֶּלֶתve/iv/VE/letbut follyבְּיָדֶיהָbe/ya/DE/hawith her handsתֶהֶרְסֶנּוּ׃te/her/SEN/nutears it down

   Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

   הוֹלֵךְho/LEKHhe who walksבְּיׇשְׁרוֹbe/yosh/ROin his uprightnessיְרֵאye/REfearsיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּנְלוֹזu/ne/LOZbut he who is devious inדְּרָכָיוde/ra/KHAYVhis waysבּוֹזֵהוּ׃bo/ZE/hudespises Him

   He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

   בְּפִי־אֱוִילbe/FI-e/VILin the mouth of a foolחֹטֶרCHO/teris a rod ofגַּאֲוָהga/a/VAprideוְשִׂפְתֵיve/sif/TEbut the lips ofחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMthe wiseתִּשְׁמוּרֵם׃tish/mu/REMshall preserve them

   In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

   בְּאֵיןbe/ENwhere there are noאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMoxenאֵבוּסe/VUSthe mangerבָּרbaris cleanוְרׇב־תְּבוּאוֹתve/ROV-te/vu/OTbut much increase comesבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the strength ofשׁוֹר׃shoran ox

   Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

   עֵדeda witnessאֱמוּנִיםe/mu/NIMfaithfulלֹאlonotיְכַזֵּבye/khaz/ZEVlieוְיָפִיחַve/ya/FI/achbut breathes outכְּזָבִיםke/za/VIMliesעֵדeda witness ofשָׁקֶר׃SHA/kerfalse

   A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

   בִּקֶּשׁ־לֵץbik/KESH-letsa scoffer seeksחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוָאָיִןva/A/yinand finds noneוְדַעַתve/DA/atbut knowledgeלְנָבוֹןle/na/VONto the discerningנָקָל׃na/KALis easy

   A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

   לֵךְlekhgoמִנֶּגֶדmin/NE/gedfrom the presence ofלְאִישׁle/ISHa manכְּסִילke/SILfoolishוּבַל־יָדַעְתָּu/VAL-ya/DA/tafor you will not findשִׂפְתֵי־דָעַת׃sif/TE-DA/atthe lips of knowledge

   Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

   חׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdom ofעָרוּםa/RUMthe prudentהָבִיןha/VINis to discernדַּרְכּוֹdar/KOhis wayוְאִוֶּלֶתve/iv/VE/letand the folly ofכְּסִילִיםke/si/LIMfoolsמִרְמָה׃mir/MAis deceit

   The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

   אֱוִלִיםe/vi/LIMfoolsיָלִיץya/LITSmockאָשָׁםa/SHAMsinוּבֵיןu/VENbut amongיְשָׁרִיםye/sha/RIMthe uprightרָצוֹן׃ra/TSONis favor

   Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

10. 10

    לֵבlevthe heartיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsמׇרַּתmor/RATthe bitterness ofנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis soulוּבְשִׂמְחָתוֹu/ve/sim/cha/TOand in its joyלֹא־יִתְעָרַבlo-yit/A/ravdoes not shareזָר׃zara stranger

    The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.

11. 11

    בֵּיתbetthe house ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedיִשָּׁמֵדyish/sha/MEDwill be destroyedוְאֹהֶלve/O/heland the tent ofיְשָׁרִיםye/sha/RIMthe uprightיַפְרִיחַ׃yaf/RI/achwill flourish

    The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

12. 12

    יֵשׁyeshthere isדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha wayיָשָׁרya/SHARthat seems rightלִפְנֵי־אִישׁlif/NE-ishto a manוְאַחֲרִיתָהּve/a/cha/ri/TAbut its endדַּרְכֵי־מָוֶת׃dar/KHE-MA/vetis the ways of death

    There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

13. 13

    גַּם־בִּשְׂחֹקgam-bis/CHOKeven in laughterיִכְאַב־לֵבyikh/AV-levthe heart is sorrowfulוְאַחֲרִיתָהּve/a/cha/ri/TAand its endשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAjoyתוּגָה׃tu/GAis heaviness

    Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

14. 14

    מִדְּרָכָיוmid/de/ra/KHAYVfrom his waysיִשְׂבַּעyis/BAhe will be satisfiedסוּגsugthe backslider inלֵבlevheartוּמֵעָלָיוu/me/a/LAYVand from his deedsאִישׁisha manטוֹב׃tovgood

    The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

15. 15

    פֶּתִיPE/tia simple personיַאֲמִיןya/a/MINshall believeלְכׇל־דָּבָרle/KHOL-da/VARevery wordוְעָרוּםve/a/RUMbut the prudentיָבִיןya/VINconsidersלַאֲשֻׁרוֹ׃la/a/shu/ROhis step

    The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

16. 16

    חָכָםcha/KHAMthe wiseיָרֵאya/REfearsוְסָרve/SARand departsמֵרָעme/RAfrom evilוּכְסִילu/khe/SILbut a foolמִתְעַבֵּרmit/ab/BERis arrogantוּבוֹטֵחַ׃u/vo/TE/achand is confident

    A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

17. 17

    קְצַר־אַפַּיִםke/TSAR-ap/PA/yimhe who is quick-temperedיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEactsאִוֶּלֶתiv/VE/letfoolishnessוְאִישׁve/ISHand a man ofמְזִמּוֹתme/zim/MOTevil schemesיִשָּׂנֵא׃yis/SA/nehe is hated

    He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

18. 18

    נָחֲלוּna/cha/LUinheritפְתָאיִםfe/ta/YIMthe simpleאִוֶּלֶתiv/VE/letfoolishnessוַעֲרוּמִיםva/a/ru/MIMbut the prudentיַכְתִּרוּyakh/TI/ruare crowned withדָעַת׃DA/atknowledge

    The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

19. 19

    שַׁחוּsha/CHUthey bowרָעִיםra/IMthe evilלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeטוֹבִיםto/VIMthe goodוּרְשָׁעִיםu/re/sha/IMand the wickedעַל־שַׁעֲרֵיal-sha/a/REupon the gates ofצַדִּיק׃tsad/DIKthe righteous

    The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

20. 20

    גַּם־לְרֵעֵהוּgam-le/re/E/hueven by his neighborיִשָּׂנֵאyis/SA/nehe is hatedרָשׁrashthe poorוְאֹהֲבֵיve/o/ha/VEand those who loveעָשִׁירa/SHIRthe richרַבִּים׃rab/BIMare many

    The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.

21. 21

    בׇּז־לְרֵעֵהוּboz-le/re/E/huhe who despises his neighborחוֹטֵאcho/TEsinsוּמְחוֹנֵןu/me/cho/NENbut he who is gracious to(עניים)nayayam[עֲנָוִים]a/na/VIMthe poorאַשְׁרָיו׃ash/RAYVhow blessed is he

    He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

22. 22

    הֲלוֹא־יִתְעוּha/LO-yit/Udo they not go astrayחֹרְשֵׁיCHOR/shethose who deviseרָעraevilוְחֶסֶדve/CHE/sedbut kindnessוֶאֱמֶתve/e/METand truthחֹרְשֵׁיCHOR/shethose who deviseטוֹב׃tovgood

    Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

23. 23

    בְּכׇל־עֶצֶבbe/KHOL-E/tsevin all toilיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beמוֹתָרmo/TARprofitוּדְבַר־שְׂפָתַיִםu/de/VAR-se/fa/TA/yimbut mere talkאַךְ־לְמַחְסוֹר׃akh-le/mach/SORleads only to want

    In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

24. 24

    עֲטֶרֶתa/TE/retthe crown ofחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMthe wiseעׇשְׁרָםosh/RAMis their richesאִוֶּלֶתiv/VE/letfoolishnessכְּסִילִיםke/si/LIMfoolsאִוֶּלֶת׃iv/VE/letfoolishness

    The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

25. 25

    מַצִּילmats/TSILsavesנְפָשׁוֹתne/fa/SHOTsoulsעֵדeda witness ofאֱמֶתe/METtruthוְיָפִחַve/ya/FI/achbut he who breathes outכְּזָבִיםke/za/VIMliesמִרְמָה׃mir/MAdeceit

    A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

26. 26

    בְּיִרְאַתbe/yir/ATin the fear ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִבְטַח־עֹזmiv/TACH-ozstrong confidenceוּלְבָנָיוu/le/va/NAYVand for his childrenיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beמַחְסֶה׃mach/SEa refuge

    In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

27. 27

    יִרְאַתyir/ATthe fear ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמְקוֹרme/KORis a fountain ofחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeלָסוּרla/SURto departמִמֹּקְשֵׁיmim/MOK/shefrom snares ofמָוֶת׃MA/vetdeath

    The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

28. 28

    בְּרׇב־עָםbe/ROV-amin abundance of a peopleהַדְרַת־מֶלֶךְhad/RAT-ME/lekhis the glory of a kingוּבְאֶפֶסu/ve/E/fesbut in lack ofלְאֹםle/OMa peopleמְחִתַּתme/chit/TATthe ruin ofרָזוֹן׃ra/ZONa ruler

    In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

29. 29

    אֶרֶךְE/rekhslowאַפַּיִםap/PA/yimto angerרַב־תְּבוּנָהrav-te/vu/NAof great understandingוּקְצַר־רוּחַu/ke/TSAR-RU/achbut he who is hasty of spiritמֵרִיםme/RIMexaltsאִוֶּלֶת׃iv/VE/letfoolishness

    He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

30. 30

    חַיֵּיchay/YEthe life ofבְשָׂרִיםve/sa/RIMthe fleshלֵבleva heartמַרְפֵּאmar/PEat peaceוּרְקַבu/re/KAVbut rottenness ofעֲצָמוֹתa/tsa/MOTthe bonesקִנְאָה׃kin/Ajealousy

    A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

31. 31

    עֹשֵׁקO/shekone who oppressesדָּלdalthe poorחֵרֵףche/REFtauntsעֹשֵׂהוּO/SE/huhis Makerוּמְכַבְּדוֹu/me/khab/be/DObut he who honors Himחֹנֵןcho/NENis gracious toאֶבְיוֹן׃ev/YONthe needy

    He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

32. 32

    בְּרָעָתוֹbe/ra/a/TOby his wickednessיִדָּחֶהyid/da/CHEis thrust downרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedוְחֹסֶהve/cho/SEbut takes refugeבְמוֹתוֹve/mo/TOat his deathצַדִּיק׃tsad/DIKthe righteous

    The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

33. 33

    בְּלֵבbe/LEVin the heart ofנָבוֹןna/VONthe discerningתָּנוּחַta/NU/achrestsחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוּבְקֶרֶבu/ve/KE/revbut amongכְּסִילִיםke/si/LIMfoolsתִּוָּדֵעַ׃tiv/va/DE/ait is made known

    Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.

34. 34

    צְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessתְרוֹמֵם־גּוֹיte/ro/MEM-goyexalts a nationוְחֶסֶדve/CHE/sedbut a reproachלְאֻמִּיםle/um/MIMto peoplesחַטָּאת׃chat/TATsin

    Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

35. 35

    רְצוֹן־מֶלֶךְre/TSON-ME/lekhthe king's favorלְעֶבֶדle/E/vedtoward a servantמַשְׂכִּילmas/KILwho acts wiselyוְעֶבְרָתוֹve/ev/ra/TOand his furyתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beמֵבִישׁ׃me/VISHtoward one who shames

    The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
