   And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

   וְיַעֲשׂוּve/ya/a/SUand let keepבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelאֶת־הַפָּסַחet-hap/PA/sachthe passoverבְּמוֹעֲדוֹ׃be/mo/a/DOat its appointed time

   Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.

   בְּאַרְבָּעָהbe/ar/ba/Aon the fourעָשָׂר־יוֹםa/SAR-yomteenth dayבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבֵּיןbenbetweenהָעַרְבַּיִםha/ar/BA/yimthe two eveningsתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall keepאֹתוֹo/TOitבְּמֹעֲדוֹbe/mo/a/DOat its appointed timeכְּכׇל־חֻקֹּתָיוke/KHOL-chuk/ko/TAYVaccording to all its statutesוּכְכׇל־מִשְׁפָּטָיוu/khe/KHOL-mish/pa/TAYVand according to all its judgmentsתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall keepאֹתוֹ׃o/TOit

   In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.

   And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.

   וַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand they keptאֶת־הַפֶּסַחet-hap/PE/sachthe passoverבָּרִאשׁוֹןba/ri/SHONin the first monthבְּאַרְבָּעָה־עָשָׂרbe/ar/ba/A-a/SARon the fourteenthיוֹםyomdayלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthבֵּיןbenbetweenהָעַרְבַּיִםha/ar/BA/yimthe two eveningsבְּמִדְבַּרbe/mid/BARin the wilderness ofסִינָיSi/NAYSinaiכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁהet-Mo/SHEMosesכֵּןkensoעָשׂוּa/SUthey didבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיוּha/YUwereטְמֵאִיםte/me/IMuncleanלְנֶפֶשׁle/NE/feshby the body ofאָדָםa/DAMa manוְלֹא־יָכְלוּve/LO-ya/khe/LUand they could notלַעֲשֹׂת־הַפֶּסַחla/a/SOT-hap/PE/sachkeep the passoverבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוַיִּקְרְבוּvay/yik/re/VUand they cameלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

   And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand saidהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהָהֵמָּהha/HEM/mathoseאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweטְמֵאִיםte/me/IMuncleanלְנֶפֶשׁle/NE/feshby the body ofאָדָםa/DAMa manלָמָּהLAM/mawhyנִגָּרַעnig/ga/RAare we kept backלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso as not toהַקְרִיבhak/RIVofferאֶת־קׇרְבַּןet-kor/BANthe offering ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּמֹעֲדוֹbe/mo/a/DOat its appointed timeבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

8. 8

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesעִמְדוּim/DUstandוְאֶשְׁמְעָהve/esh/me/Aand I will hearמַה־יְצַוֶּהma-ye/tsav/VEwhat will commandיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלָכֶם׃la/KHEMconcerning you

   And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

10. 10

    דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאִישׁishanyאִישׁishmanכִּי־יִהְיֶה־טָמֵאki-yih/YE-ta/MEif he is uncleanלָנֶפֶשׁla/NE/feshby a bodyאוֹoorבְדֶרֶךְve/DE/rekhon a journeyרְחֹקָהׄre/cho/KAdistantלָכֶםla/KHEMof youאוֹoorלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםle/do/ro/te/KHEMfor your generationsוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAyet he shall keepפֶסַחFE/sacha passoverלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.

11. 11

    בַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondבְּאַרְבָּעָה־עָשָׂרbe/ar/ba/A-a/SARon the fourteenthיוֹםyomdayבֵּיןbenbetweenהָעַרְבַּיִםha/ar/BA/yimthe two eveningsיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUthey shall keepאֹתוֹo/TOitעַל־מַצּוֹתal-mats/TSOTwith unleavened breadוּמְרֹרִיםu/me/ro/RIMand bitter herbsיֹאכְלֻהוּ׃yo/khe/LU/huthey shall eat it

    The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

12. 12

    לֹא־יַשְׁאִירוּlo-yash/I/ruthey shall leave noneמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof itעַד־בֹּקֶרad-BO/keruntil morningוְעֶצֶםve/E/tsemand a boneלֹאlonotיִשְׁבְּרוּ־בוֹyish/be/RU-voshall they break of itכְּכׇל־חֻקַּתke/KHOL-chuk/KATaccording to all the statute ofהַפֶּסַחhap/PE/sachthe passoverיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUthey shall keepאֹתוֹ׃o/TOit

    They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

13. 13

    וְהָאִישׁve/ha/ISHand the manאֲשֶׁר־הוּאa/SHER-huwho isטָהוֹרta/HORcleanוּבְדֶרֶךְu/ve/DE/rekhand on a journeyלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAis notוְחָדַלve/cha/DALand failsלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto keepהַפֶּסַחhap/PE/sachthe passoverוְנִכְרְתָהve/nikh/re/TAand shall be cut offהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshthe soulהַהִואha/HIVthatמֵעַמֶּיהָme/am/ME/hafrom its peopleכִּיkibecauseקׇרְבַּןkor/BANthe offering ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֹאlonotהִקְרִיבhik/RIVhe broughtבְּמֹעֲדוֹbe/mo/a/DOat its appointed timeחֶטְאוֹchet/Ohis sinיִשָּׂאyis/SAshall bearהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

    But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

14. 14

    וְכִי־יָגוּרve/KHI-ya/GURand if sojournsאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youגֵּרgera strangerוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand would keepפֶסַחFE/sacha passoverלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDכְּחֻקַּתke/chuk/KATaccording to the statute ofהַפֶּסַחhap/PE/sachthe passoverוּכְמִשְׁפָּטוֹu/khe/mish/pa/TOand according to its ordinanceכֵּןkensoיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe shall doחֻקָּהchuk/KAa statuteאַחַתa/CHAToneיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youוְלַגֵּרve/lag/GERand for the strangerוּלְאֶזְרַחu/le/ez/RACHand for the native ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe land

    And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

15. 15

    וּבְיוֹםu/ve/YOMand on the dayהָקִיםha/KIMwas set upאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּןet-ham/mish/KANthe tabernacleכִּסָּהkis/SAcoveredהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּןet-ham/mish/KANthe tabernacleלְאֹהֶלle/O/helfor the tent ofהָעֵדֻתha/e/DUTthe testimonyוּבָעֶרֶבu/va/E/revand at eveningיִהְיֶהyih/YEit wasעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANupon the tabernacleכְּמַרְאֵה־אֵשׁke/mar/E-eshas the appearance of fireעַד־בֹּקֶר׃ad-BO/keruntil morning

    And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

16. 16

    כֵּןkensoיִהְיֶהyih/YEit wasתָמִידta/MIDcontinuallyהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudיְכַסֶּנּוּye/khas/SEN/nucovered itוּמַרְאֵה־אֵשׁu/mar/E-eshand the appearance of fireלָיְלָה׃LAY/laby night

    So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

17. 17

    וּלְפִיu/le/FIand wheneverהֵעָלוֹתhe/a/LOTwas taken upהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudמֵעַלme/ALfrom overהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterכֵןkhenthatיִסְעוּyis/Uset outבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּבִמְקוֹםu/vim/KOMand in the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereיִשְׁכׇּן־שָׁםyish/KON-shamrested thereהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudשָׁםshamthereיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUencampedבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

18. 18

    עַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיִסְעוּyis/Uset outבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְעַל־פִּיve/AL-piand according to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUthey encampedכׇּל־יְמֵיkol-ye/MEall the daysאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִשְׁכֹּןyish/KONrestedהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANupon the tabernacleיַחֲנוּ׃ya/cha/NUthey encamped

    At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

19. 19

    וּבְהַאֲרִיךְu/ve/ha/a/RIKHand when lingeredהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANupon the tabernacleיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְשָׁמְרוּve/sha/me/RUthen keptבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתet-mish/ME/retthe charge ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְלֹאve/LOand notיִסָּעוּ׃yis/SA/udid they set out

    And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.

20. 20

    וְיֵשׁve/YESHand sometimesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיִהְיֶהyih/YEwasהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudיָמִיםya/MIMdaysמִסְפָּרmis/PARfewעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANupon the tabernacleעַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUthey encampedוְעַל־פִּיve/AL-piand according to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיִסָּעוּ׃yis/SA/uthey set out

    And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.

21. 21

    וְיֵשׁve/YESHand sometimesאֲשֶׁר־יִהְיֶהa/SHER-yih/YEwhen wasהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudמֵעֶרֶבme/E/revfrom eveningעַד־בֹּקֶרad-BO/keruntil morningוְנַעֲלָהve/na/a/LAand it was taken upהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningוְנָסָעוּve/na/SA/uand they set outאוֹoorיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayוָלַיְלָהva/LAY/laand by nightוְנַעֲלָהve/na/a/LAand it was taken upהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudוְנָסָעוּ׃ve/na/SA/uand they set out

    And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

    אוֹ־יֹמַיִםo-yo/MA/yimor two daysאוֹ־חֹדֶשׁo-CHO/deshor a monthאוֹ־יָמִיםo-ya/MIMor a yearבְּהַאֲרִיךְbe/ha/a/RIKHwhen lingeredהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANupon the tabernacleלִשְׁכֹּןlish/KONto restעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUremained encampedבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelוְלֹאve/LOand notיִסָּעוּyis/SA/udid they set outוּבְהֵעָלֹתוֹu/ve/he/a/lo/TObut when it was taken upיִסָּעוּ׃yis/SA/uthey set out

    Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.

    עַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUthey encampedוְעַל־פִּיve/AL-piand according to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיִסָּעוּyis/SA/uthey set outאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתet-mish/ME/retthe charge ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשָׁמָרוּsha/MA/ruthey keptעַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה׃be/YAD-mo/SHEby the hand of Moses

    At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
