   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. 2

   עֲשֵׂהa/SEmakeלְךָle/KHAfor youשְׁתֵּיshtetwoחֲצוֹצְרֹתcha/tsots/ROTtrumpets ofכֶּסֶףKE/sefsilverמִקְשָׁהmik/SHAhammered workתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEshall you makeאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beלְךָle/KHAfor youלְמִקְרָאle/mik/RAfor the calling ofהָעֵדָהha/e/DAthe congregationוּלְמַסַּעu/le/mas/SAand for the setting out ofאֶת־הַמַּחֲנוֹת׃et-ham/ma/cha/NOTthe camps

   Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

   וְתָקְעוּve/ta/ke/Uand when they blowבָּהֵןba/HENwith themוְנוֹעֲדוּve/no/a/DUthen shall assembleאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youכׇּל־הָעֵדָהkol-ha/e/DAall the congregationאֶל־פֶּתַחel-PE/tachto the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

   And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4. 4

   וְאִם־בְּאַחַתve/IM-be/a/CHATand if with oneיִתְקָעוּyit/KA/uthey blowוְנוֹעֲדוּve/no/a/DUthen shall assembleאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youהַנְּשִׂיאִיםhan/ne/si/IMthe leadersרָאשֵׁיra/SHEthe heads ofאַלְפֵיal/FEthe thousands ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

5. 5

   וּתְקַעְתֶּםu/te/ka/TEMand when you blowתְּרוּעָהte/ru/Aan alarmוְנָסְעוּve/na/se/Uthen shall set outהַמַּחֲנוֹתham/ma/cha/NOTthe campsהַחֹנִיםha/cho/NIMthat encampקֵדְמָה׃KED/maon the east

   When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.

6. 6

   וּתְקַעְתֶּםu/te/ka/TEMand when you blowתְּרוּעָהte/ru/Aan alarmשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainוְנָסְעוּve/na/se/Uthen shall set outהַמַּחֲנוֹתham/ma/cha/NOTthe campsהַחֹנִיםha/cho/NIMthat encampתֵּימָנָהte/MA/nasouthwardתְּרוּעָהte/ru/Aan alarmיִתְקְעוּyit/ke/Uthey shall blowלְמַסְעֵיהֶם׃le/mas/e/HEMfor their journeys

   When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

7. 7

   וּבְהַקְהִילu/ve/hak/HILand when assemblingאֶת־הַקָּהָלet-hak/ka/HALthe assemblyתִּתְקְעוּtit/ke/Uyou shall blowוְלֹאve/LOand notתָרִיעוּ׃ta/RI/ushall you sound an alarm

   But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

8. 8

   וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsיִתְקְעוּyit/ke/Ushall blowבַּחֲצֹצְרוֹתba/cha/tsots/ROTwith the trumpetsוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְחֻקַּתle/chuk/KATfor a statuteעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם׃le/do/ro/te/KHEMfor your generations

   And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

   וְכִי־תָבֹאוּve/KHI-ta/VO/uand when you goמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAto warבְּאַרְצְכֶםbe/ar/tse/KHEMin your landעַל־הַצַּרal-hats/TSARagainst the adversaryהַצֹּרֵרhats/tso/RERwho oppressesאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוַהֲרֵעֹתֶםva/ha/re/o/TEMthen you shall sound an alarmבַּחֲצֹצְרֹתba/cha/tsots/ROTwith the trumpetsוְנִזְכַּרְתֶּםve/niz/kar/TEMand you shall be rememberedלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוְנוֹשַׁעְתֶּםve/no/sha/TEMand you shall be deliveredמֵאֹיְבֵיכֶם׃me/oy/ve/KHEMfrom your enemies

   And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

    וּבְיוֹםu/ve/YOMand on the day ofשִׂמְחַתְכֶםsim/chat/KHEMyour gladnessוּבְמוֹעֲדֵיכֶםu/ve/mo/a/de/KHEMand at your appointed feastsוּבְרָאשֵׁיu/ve/ra/SHEand at the beginnings ofחׇדְשֵׁיכֶםchod/she/KHEMyour monthsוּתְקַעְתֶּםu/te/ka/TEMyou shall blowבַּחֲצֹצְרֹתba/cha/tsots/ROTwith the trumpetsעַלaloverעֹלֹתֵיכֶםo/lo/te/KHEMyour burnt offeringsוְעַלve/ALand overזִבְחֵיziv/CHEthe sacrifices ofשַׁלְמֵיכֶםshal/me/KHEMyour peace offeringsוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְזִכָּרוֹןle/zik/ka/RONfor a memorialלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearהַשֵּׁנִיתhash/she/NITthe secondבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondבְּעֶשְׂרִיםbe/es/RIMon the twentiethבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshof the monthנַעֲלָהna/a/LAwas taken upהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudמֵעַלme/ALfrom overמִשְׁכַּןmish/KANthe tabernacle ofהָעֵדֻת׃ha/e/DUTthe testimony

    And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

    וַיִּסְעוּvay/yis/Uand they set outבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelלְמַסְעֵיהֶםle/mas/e/HEMon their journeysמִמִּדְבַּרmim/mid/BARfrom the wilderness ofסִינָיSi/NAYSinaiוַיִּשְׁכֹּןvay/yish/KONand restedהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudבְּמִדְבַּרbe/mid/BARin the wilderness ofפָּארָן׃Pa/RANParan

    And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

13. 13

    וַיִּסְעוּvay/yis/Uand they set outבָּרִאשֹׁנָהba/ri/sho/NAfirstעַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה׃be/YAD-mo/SHEby the hand of Moses

    And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

14. 14

    וַיִּסַּעvay/yis/SAand set outדֶּגֶלDE/gelthe standard ofמַחֲנֵהma/cha/NEthe camp ofבְנֵי־יְהוּדָהve/NE-ye/hu/DAthe children of Judahבָּרִאשֹׁנָהba/ri/sho/NAfirstלְצִבְאֹתָםle/tsiv/o/TAMby their armiesוְעַל־צְבָאוֹve/AL-tse/va/Oand over his armyנַחְשׁוֹןNach/SHONNahshonבֶּן־עַמִּינָדָב׃ben-Am/mi/na/DAVson of Amminadab

    In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

15. 15

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשָּׂשכָרYis/sash/KHARIssacharנְתַנְאֵלNe/tan/ELNethaneelבֶּן־צוּעָר׃ben-Tsu/ARson of Zuar

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

16. 16

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofזְבוּלֻןZe/vu/LUNZebulunאֱלִיאָבE/li/AVEliabבֶּן־חֵלֹן׃ben-Che/LONson of Helon

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

17. 17

    וְהוּרַדve/hu/RADand was taken downהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleוְנָסְעוּve/na/se/Uand set outבְנֵי־גֵרְשׁוֹןve/NE-ger/SHONthe sons of Gershonוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofמְרָרִיMe/ra/RIMerariנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ethe bearers ofהַמִּשְׁכָּן׃ham/mish/KANthe tabernacle

    And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.

18. 18

    וְנָסַעve/na/SAand set outדֶּגֶלDE/gelthe standard ofמַחֲנֵהma/cha/NEthe camp ofרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenלְצִבְאֹתָםle/tsiv/o/TAMby their armiesוְעַל־צְבָאוֹve/AL-tse/va/Oand over his armyאֱלִיצוּרE/li/TSURElizurבֶּן־שְׁדֵיאוּר׃ben-She/de/URson of Shedeur

    And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

19. 19

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofשִׁמְעוֹןShim/ONSimeonשְׁלֻמִיאֵלShe/lu/mi/ELShelumielבֶּן־צוּרִישַׁדָּי׃ben-Tsu/ri/shad/DAYson of Zurishaddai

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

20. 20

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְנֵי־גָדve/NE-gadthe children of GadאֶלְיָסָףEl/ya/SAFEliasaphבֶּן־דְּעוּאֵל׃ben-De/u/ELson of Deuel

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

21. 21

    וְנָסְעוּve/na/se/Uand set outהַקְּהָתִיםhak/Ke/ha/TIMthe Kohathitesנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ethe bearers ofהַמִּקְדָּשׁham/mik/DASHthe sanctuaryוְהֵקִימוּve/he/KI/muand they set upאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּןet-ham/mish/KANthe tabernacleעַד־בֹּאָם׃ad-bo/AMuntil they came

    And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.

22. 22

    וְנָסַעve/na/SAand set outדֶּגֶלDE/gelthe standard ofמַחֲנֵהma/cha/NEthe camp ofבְנֵי־אֶפְרַיִםve/NE-ef/RA/yimthe children of Ephraimלְצִבְאֹתָםle/tsiv/o/TAMby their armiesוְעַל־צְבָאוֹve/AL-tse/va/Oand over his armyאֱלִישָׁמָעE/li/sha/MAElishamaבֶּן־עַמִּיהוּד׃ben-Am/mi/HUDson of Ammihud

    And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.

23. 23

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehגַּמְלִיאֵלGam/li/ELGamalielבֶּן־פְּדָהצוּר׃ben-Pe/dah/TSURson of Pedahzur

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

24. 24

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofבִנְיָמִןVin/ya/MINBenjaminאֲבִידָןA/vi/DANAbidanבֶּן־גִּדְעוֹנִי׃ben-Gid/o/NIson of Gideoni

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.

25. 25

    וְנָסַעve/na/SAand set outדֶּגֶלDE/gelthe standard ofמַחֲנֵהma/cha/NEthe camp ofבְנֵי־דָןve/NE-danthe children of Danמְאַסֵּףme/as/SEFthe rearguardלְכׇל־הַמַּחֲנֹתle/KHOL-ham/ma/cha/NOTof all the campsלְצִבְאֹתָםle/tsiv/o/TAMby their armiesוְעַל־צְבָאוֹve/AL-tse/va/Oand over his armyאֲחִיעֶזֶרA/chi/E/zerAhiezerבֶּן־עַמִּישַׁדָּי׃ben-Am/mi/shad/DAYson of Ammishaddai

    And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

26. 26

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofאָשֵׁרA/SHERAsherפַּגְעִיאֵלPag/i/ELPagielבֶּן־עׇכְרָן׃ben-Okh/RANson of Ocran

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.

27. 27

    וְעַל־צְבָאve/AL-tse/VAand over the army ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofנַפְתָּלִיNaf/ta/LINaphtaliאֲחִירַעA/chi/RAAhiraבֶּן־עֵינָן׃ben-E/NANson of Enan

    And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.

28. 28

    אֵלֶּהEL/lethese wereמַסְעֵיmas/Ethe journeyings ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelלְצִבְאֹתָםle/tsiv/o/TAMby their armiesוַיִּסָּעוּ׃vay/yis/SA/uwhen they set out

    Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלְחֹבָבle/Cho/VAVto Hobabבֶּן־רְעוּאֵלben-Re/u/ELson of Reuelהַמִּדְיָנִיham/Mid/ya/NIthe Midianiteחֹתֵןcho/TENthe father in law ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesנֹסְעִיםnos/IMare journeyingאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichאָמַרa/MARsaidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֹתוֹo/TOitאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְכָהle/KHAcomeאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usוְהֵטַבְנוּve/he/TAV/nuand we will do goodלָךְlakhto youכִּי־יְהֹוָהki-Adonaifor the LORDדִּבֶּר־טוֹבdib/BER-tovhas spoken goodעַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃al-Yis/ra/ELconcerning Israel

    And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.

30. 30

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלֹאlonotאֵלֵךְe/LEKHI will goכִּיkibutאִם־אֶל־אַרְצִיim-el-ar/TSIrather to my own landוְאֶל־מוֹלַדְתִּיve/EL-mo/lad/TIand to my kindredאֵלֵךְ׃e/LEKHI will go

    And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

31. 31

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאַל־נָאal-naplease do notתַּעֲזֹבta/a/ZOVleaveאֹתָנוּo/TA/nuusכִּיkiforעַל־כֵּןal-keninasmuch asיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowחֲנֹתֵנוּcha/no/TE/nuour encampingבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessוְהָיִיתָve/ha/YI/taand you will beלָּנוּLA/nuto usלְעֵינָיִם׃le/e/NA/yimas eyes

    And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.

32. 32

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכִּי־תֵלֵךְki-te/LEKHif you goעִמָּנוּim/MA/nuwith usוְהָיָהve/ha/YAit shall beהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthe goodnessהַהוּאha/HUthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיֵיטִיבye/TIVwill do goodיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעִמָּנוּim/MA/nuto usוְהֵטַבְנוּve/he/TAV/nuand we will do goodלָךְ׃lakhto you

    And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.

33. 33

    וַיִּסְעוּvay/yis/Uand they set outמֵהַרme/HARfrom the mount ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha journey ofשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוַאֲרוֹןva/a/RONand the ark ofבְּרִית־יְהֹוָהbe/RIT-Adonaithe covenant of the LORDנֹסֵעַno/SE/awentלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha journey ofשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysלָתוּרla/TURto search outלָהֶםla/HEMfor themמְנוּחָה׃me/nu/CHAa resting place

    And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them.

34. 34

    וַעֲנַןva/a/NANand the cloud ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMwas over themיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayבְּנׇסְעָםbe/nos/AMwhen they set outמִן־הַמַּחֲנֶה׃min-ham/ma/cha/NEfrom the camp

    And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.

35. 35

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבִּנְסֹעַbin/SO/awhen set outהָאָרֹןha/a/RONthe arkוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesקוּמָהku/MArise upיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDוְיָפֻצוּve/ya/FU/tsuand let be scatteredאֹיְבֶיךָoy/VE/khayour enemiesוְיָנֻסוּve/ya/NU/suand let fleeמְשַׂנְאֶיךָme/san/E/khathose who hate youמִפָּנֶיךָ׃mip/pa/NE/khafrom before you

    And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.

36. 36

    וּבְנֻחֹהu/ve/nu/CHOand when it restedיֹאמַרyo/MARhe saidשׁוּבָהshu/VAreturnיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDרִבְבוֹתriv/VOTto the ten thousands ofאַלְפֵיal/FEthe thousands ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.
