Numbers 11 בְּמִדְבַּר פרק י״א

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand wasהָעָםha/AMthe peopleכְּמִתְאֹנְנִיםke/mit/on/NIMlike complainersרַעraevilבְּאׇזְנֵיbe/oz/NEin the ears ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיִּחַרvay/YI/charand was kindledאַפּוֹap/POHis angerוַתִּבְעַר־בָּםvat/tiv/AR-bamand burned among themאֵשׁeshthe fire ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַתֹּאכַלvat/TO/khaland consumedבִּקְצֵהbik/TSEat the edge ofהַמַּחֲנֶה׃ham/ma/cha/NEthe camp

   And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

   וַיִּצְעַקvay/yits/AKand criedהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוַיִּתְפַּלֵּלvay/yit/pal/LELand prayedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDוַתִּשְׁקַעvat/tish/KAand died downהָאֵשׁ׃ha/ESHthe fire

   And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.

   וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledשֵׁם־הַמָּקוֹםshem-ham/ma/KOMthe name of the placeהַהוּאha/HUthatתַּבְעֵרָהTav/e/RATaberahכִּי־בָעֲרָהki-va/a/RAbecause burnedבָםvamamong themאֵשׁeshthe fire ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.

   וְהָאסַפְסֻףve/ha/saf/SUFand the rabbleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasבְּקִרְבּוֹbe/kir/BOamong themהִתְאַוּוּhit/av/VUthey cravedתַּאֲוָהta/a/VAa cravingוַיָּשֻׁבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuand againוַיִּבְכּוּvay/yiv/KUand they weptגַּםgamalsoבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidמִיmiwhoיַאֲכִלֵנוּya/a/khi/LE/nuwill give us to eatבָּשָׂר׃ba/SARflesh

   And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

   זָכַרְנוּza/KHAR/nuwe rememberאֶת־הַדָּגָהet-had/da/GAthe fishאֲשֶׁר־נֹאכַלa/SHER-no/KHALwhich we used to eatבְּמִצְרַיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptחִנָּםchin/NAMfreelyאֵת־הַקִּשֻּׁאִיםet-hak/kish/shu/IMthe cucumbersוְאֵתve/ETandהָאֲבַטִּחִיםha/a/vat/ti/CHIMthe melonsוְאֶת־הֶחָצִירve/ET-he/cha/TSIRand the leeksוְאֶת־הַבְּצָלִיםve/ET-hab/be/tsa/LIMand the onionsוְאֶת־הַשּׁוּמִים׃ve/ET-hash/shu/MIMand the garlic

   We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowנַפְשֵׁנוּnaf/SHE/nuour soulיְבֵשָׁהye/ve/SHAis dried upאֵיןenthere is notכֹּלkolanythingבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאֶל־הַמָּןel-ham/MANto the mannaעֵינֵינוּ׃e/NE/nuour eyes

   But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

   וְהַמָּןve/ham/MANand the mannaכִּזְרַע־גַּדkiz/RA-gadwas like coriander seedהוּאhuitוְעֵינוֹve/e/NOand its colorכְּעֵיןke/ENlike the color ofהַבְּדֹלַח׃hab/be/DO/lachthe bdellium

   And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.

   שָׁטוּsha/TUwent aboutהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוְלָקְטוּve/la/ke/TUand gathered itוְטָחֲנוּve/ta/cha/NUand ground itבָרֵחַיִםva/re/CHA/yimin the millאוֹoorדָכוּda/KHUbeat itבַּמְּדֹכָהbam/me/do/KHAin the mortarוּבִשְּׁלוּu/vish/she/LUand boiled itבַּפָּרוּרbap/pa/RURin the potוְעָשׂוּve/a/SUand madeאֹתוֹo/TOitעֻגוֹתu/GOTcakesוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand wasטַעְמוֹta/MOits tasteכְּטַעַםke/TA/amlike the taste ofלְשַׁדle/SHADthe richness ofהַשָּׁמֶן׃hash/SHA/menthe oil

   And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.

   And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleבֹּכֶהbo/KHEweepingלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָיוle/mish/pe/cho/TAYVby their familiesאִישׁishevery manלְפֶתַחle/FE/tachat the door ofאׇהֳלוֹo/ho/LOhis tentוַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afand was kindled the anger ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמְאֹדme/ODgreatlyוּבְעֵינֵיu/ve/e/NEand in the eyes ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesרָע׃raevil

    Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDלָמָהla/MAwhyהֲרֵעֹתָha/re/O/tahave you dealt illלְעַבְדֶּךָle/av/DE/khato your servantוְלָמָּהve/LAM/maand whyלֹא־מָצָתִיlo-ma/TSA/tihave I not foundחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesלָשׂוּםla/SUMthat you putאֶת־מַשָּׂאet-mas/SAthe burden ofכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעָלָי׃a/LAYupon me

    And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?

    Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?

    מֵאַיִןme/A/yinfrom whereלִיlihave Iבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshלָתֵתla/TETto giveלְכׇל־הָעָםle/KHOL-ha/AMto all the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּי־יִבְכּוּki-yiv/KUfor they weepעָלַיa/LAYto meלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingתְּנָה־לָּנוּte/NA-LA/nugive usבָשָׂרva/SARfleshוְנֹאכֵלָה׃ve/no/KHE/lathat we may eat

    Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.

    לֹא־אוּכַלlo-u/KHALam not ableאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIלְבַדִּיle/vad/DIaloneלָשֵׂאתla/SETto bearאֶת־כׇּל־הָעָםet-kol-ha/AMall the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkibecauseכָבֵדkha/VEDit is too heavyמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nifor me

    I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.

    וְאִם־כָּכָהve/IM-KA/khaand if thusאַתְּ־עֹשֶׂהatt-O/seyou dealלִּיliwith meהׇרְגֵנִיhor/GE/nikill meנָאnaI prayהָרֹגha/ROGkillאִם־מָצָאתִיim-ma/TSA/tiif I have foundחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesוְאַל־אֶרְאֶהve/AL-er/Eand let me not seeבְּרָעָתִי׃be/ra/a/TImy wretchedness

    And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesאֶסְפָה־לִּיes/FA-ligather to meשִׁבְעִיםshiv/IMseventyאִישׁishmenמִזִּקְנֵיmiz/zik/NEof the elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowכִּי־הֵםki-hemthat they areזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe elders ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוְשֹׁטְרָיוve/shot/RAYVand its officersוְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand you shall bringאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְהִתְיַצְּבוּve/hit/yats/tse/VUand let them standשָׁםshamthereעִמָּךְ׃im/MAKHwith you

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.

    וְיָרַדְתִּיve/ya/rad/TIand I will come downוְדִבַּרְתִּיve/dib/bar/TIand I will speakעִמְּךָim/me/KHAwith youשָׁםshamthereוְאָצַלְתִּיve/a/tsal/TIand I will takeמִן־הָרוּחַmin-ha/RU/achof the spiritאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaupon youוְשַׂמְתִּיve/sam/TIand I will putעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוְנָשְׂאוּve/na/se/Uand they shall bearאִתְּךָit/te/KHAwith youבְּמַשָּׂאbe/mas/SAthe burden ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוְלֹא־תִשָּׂאve/LO-tis/SAand not bearאַתָּהat/TAyouלְבַדֶּךָ׃le/vad/DE/khaalone

    And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.

    וְאֶל־הָעָםve/EL-ha/AMand to the peopleתֹּאמַרto/MARyou shall sayהִתְקַדְּשׁוּhit/kad/de/SHUsanctify yourselvesלְמָחָרle/ma/CHARfor tomorrowוַאֲכַלְתֶּםva/a/khal/TEMand you shall eatבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshכִּיkiforבְּכִיתֶםbe/khi/TEMyou have weptבְּאׇזְנֵיbe/oz/NEin the ears ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמִיmiwhoיַאֲכִלֵנוּya/a/khi/LE/nuwill give us to eatבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshכִּי־טוֹבki-tovfor it was wellלָנוּLA/nuwith usבְּמִצְרָיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוְנָתַןve/na/TANtherefore will giveיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלָכֶםla/KHEMto youבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshוַאֲכַלְתֶּם׃va/a/khal/TEMand you shall eat

    And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

    Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;

20. 20

    עַדaduntilחֹדֶשׁCHO/desha month ofיָמִיםya/MIMdaysעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁר־יֵצֵאa/SHER-ye/TSEit comes outמֵאַפְּכֶםme/ap/pe/KHEMof your nostrilsוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it becomesלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְזָרָאle/za/RAloathsomeיַעַןYA/anbecauseכִּי־מְאַסְתֶּםki-me/as/TEMthat you have rejectedאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho isבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMamong youוַתִּבְכּוּvat/tiv/KUand you have weptלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore Himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלָמָּהLAM/mawhyזֶּהzethisיָצָאנוּya/TSA/nudid we comeמִמִּצְרָיִם׃mim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egypt

    But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesשֵׁשׁ־מֵאוֹתshesh-me/OTsix hundredאֶלֶףE/lefthousandרַגְלִיrag/LIon footהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERamong whomאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIבְּקִרְבּוֹbe/kir/BOin its midstוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/tahave saidבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלָהֶםla/HEMto themוְאָכְלוּve/a/khe/LUthat they may eatחֹדֶשׁCHO/desha month ofיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

    And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.

    הֲצֹאןha/TSONshall flocksוּבָקָרu/va/KARand herdsיִשָּׁחֵטyish/sha/CHETbe slaughteredלָהֶםla/HEMfor themוּמָצָאu/ma/TSAto sufficeלָהֶםla/HEMthemאִםimorאֶת־כׇּל־דְּגֵיet-kol-de/GEall the fish ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaיֵאָסֵףye/a/SEFshall be gatheredלָהֶםla/HEMfor themוּמָצָאu/ma/TSAto sufficeלָהֶם׃la/HEMthem

    Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?

23. 23

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesהֲיַדha/YADis the hand ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDתִּקְצָרtik/TSARbecome shortעַתָּהat/TAnowתִרְאֶהtir/Eyou shall seeהֲיִקְרְךָha/yik/re/KHAwhether will befall youדְבָרִיde/va/RImy wordאִם־לֹא׃im-loor not

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

24. 24

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleאֵת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe words ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיֶּאֱסֹףvay/ye/e/SOFand gatheredשִׁבְעִיםshiv/IMseventyאִישׁishmenמִזִּקְנֵיmiz/zik/NEof the elders ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיַּעֲמֵדvay/ya/a/MEDand setאֹתָםo/TAMthemסְבִיבֹתse/vi/VOTround aboutהָאֹהֶל׃ha/O/helthe tent

    And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.

25. 25

    וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand descendedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבֶּעָנָןbe/a/NANin a cloudוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיָּאצֶלvay/YA/tseland tookמִן־הָרוּחַmin-ha/RU/achof the spiritאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand put itעַל־שִׁבְעִיםal-shiv/IMupon the seventyאִישׁishmenהַזְּקֵנִיםhaz/ze/ke/NIMthe eldersוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּנוֹחַke/NO/achwhen restedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritוַיִּתְנַבְּאוּvay/yit/nab/be/Uand they prophesiedוְלֹאve/LObut notיָסָפוּ׃ya/SA/futhey did so again

    And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

    וַיִּשָּׁאֲרוּvay/yish/sha/a/RUbut remainedשְׁנֵי־אֲנָשִׁיםshe/NE-a/na/SHIMtwo menבַּמַּחֲנֶהbam/ma/cha/NEin the campשֵׁםshemthe name ofהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADthe oneאֶלְדָּדEl/DADEldadוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe otherמֵידָדMe/DADMedadוַתָּנַחvat/TA/nachand restedעֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMon themהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand they wereבַּכְּתֻבִיםbak/ke/tu/VIMof those writtenוְלֹאve/LObut notיָצְאוּya/tse/Uhad gone outהָאֹהֱלָהha/O/he/lato the tentוַיִּתְנַבְּאוּvay/yit/nab/be/Uand they prophesiedבַּמַּחֲנֶה׃bam/ma/cha/NEin the camp

    But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.

    וַיָּרׇץvay/YA/rotsand he ranהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe young manוַיַּגֵּדvay/yag/GEDand toldלְמֹשֶׁהLe/mo/SHEMosesוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאֶלְדָּדEl/DADEldadוּמֵידָדu/Me/DADand Medadמִתְנַבְּאִיםmit/nab/be/IMare prophesyingבַּמַּחֲנֶה׃bam/ma/cha/NEin the camp

    And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.

28. 28

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבִּן־נוּןbin-Nunson of Nunמְשָׁרֵתme/sha/RETthe attendant ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesמִבְּחֻרָיוmib/be/chu/RAYVfrom his youthוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesכְּלָאֵם׃ke/la/EMforbid them

    And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלוֹloto himמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesהַמְקַנֵּאham/kan/NEare jealousאַתָּהat/TAyouלִיlifor meוּמִיu/MIand whoיִתֵּןyit/TENwould grantכׇּל־עַםkol-amall the people ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנְבִיאִיםne/vi/IMprophetsכִּי־יִתֵּןki-yit/TENthat would putיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־רוּחוֹet-Ru/CHOHis Spiritעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMupon them

    And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

30. 30

    וַיֵּאָסֵףvay/ye/a/SEFand wentמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶהel-ham/ma/cha/NEto the campהוּאhuheוְזִקְנֵיve/zik/NEand the elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

    וְרוּחַve/RU/achand a windנָסַעna/SAwent forthמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיָּגׇזvay/YA/gozand brought acrossשַׂלְוִיםsal/VIMquailsמִן־הַיָּםmin-hay/YAMfrom the seaוַיִּטֹּשׁvay/yit/TOSHand let them fallעַל־הַמַּחֲנֶהal-ham/ma/cha/NEby the campכְּדֶרֶךְke/DE/rekhabout a journey ofיוֹםyoma dayכֹּהkothis wayוּכְדֶרֶךְu/khe/DE/rekhand about a journey ofיוֹםyoma dayכֹּהkothat wayסְבִיבוֹתse/vi/VOTaroundהַמַּחֲנֶהham/ma/cha/NEthe campוּכְאַמָּתַיִםu/khe/am/ma/TA/yimand about two cubitsעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEabove the face ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

    And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.

32. 32

    וַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand stood upהָעָםha/AMthe peopleכׇּל־הַיּוֹםkol-hay/YOMall the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוְכׇל־הַלַּיְלָהve/KHOL-hal/LAY/laand all the nightוְכֹלve/KHOLand allיוֹםyomthe dayהַמׇּחֳרָתham/mo/cho/RATfollowingוַיַּאַסְפוּvay/ya/as/FUand they gatheredאֶת־הַשְּׂלָוet-has/se/LAVthe quailsהַמַּמְעִיטham/mam/IThe who had leastאָסַףa/SAFgatheredעֲשָׂרָהa/sa/RAtenחֳמָרִיםcho/ma/RIMhomersוַיִּשְׁטְחוּvay/yish/te/CHUand they spread themלָהֶםla/HEMfor themselvesשָׁטוֹחַsha/TO/achspreadסְבִיבוֹתse/vi/VOTaroundהַמַּחֲנֶה׃ham/ma/cha/NEthe camp

    And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.

33. 33

    הַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARthe fleshעוֹדֶנּוּo/DEN/nuwas stillבֵּיןbenbetweenשִׁנֵּיהֶםshin/ne/HEMtheir teethטֶרֶםTE/rembeforeיִכָּרֵתyik/ka/RETit was chewedוְאַףve/AFand the anger ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDחָרָהcha/RAwas kindledבָעָםva/AMagainst the peopleוַיַּךְvay/YAKHand struckיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבָּעָםba/AMthe peopleמַכָּהmak/KAwith a plagueרַבָּהrab/BAgreatמְאֹד׃me/ODvery

    And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.

34. 34

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledאֶת־שֵׁם־הַמָּקוֹםet-shem-ham/ma/KOMthe name of the placeהַהוּאha/HUthatקִבְרוֹתKiv/ROTKibroth-הַתַּאֲוָהhat/ta/a/VAhattaavahכִּי־שָׁםki-shambecause thereקָבְרוּka/ve/RUthey buriedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleהַמִּתְאַוִּים׃ham/mit/av/VIMwho craved

    And he called the name of that place Kibroth-hattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.

    מִקִּבְרוֹתmik/Kiv/ROTfrom Kibroth-הַתַּאֲוָהhat/ta/a/VAhattaavahנָסְעוּna/se/Uset outהָעָםha/AMthe peopleחֲצֵרוֹתCha/tse/ROTto Hazerothוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereבַּחֲצֵרוֹת׃ba/Cha/tse/ROTat Hazeroth

    And the people journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah unto Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth.
