Numbers 12 בְּמִדְבַּר פרק י״ב

   וַתְּדַבֵּרvat/te/dab/BERand spokeמִרְיָםMir/YAMMiriamוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronבְּמֹשֶׁהbe/Mo/SHEagainst Mosesעַל־אֹדוֹתal-o/DOTbecause ofהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanהַכֻּשִׁיתhak/Ku/SHITthe Ethiopianאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomלָקָחla/KACHhe had takenכִּי־אִשָּׁהki-ish/SHAfor a womanכֻשִׁיתKhu/SHITEthiopianלָקָח׃la/KACHhe had taken

   And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidהֲרַקha/RAKhas indeedאַךְ־בְּמֹשֶׁהakh-Be/mo/SHEonly by Mosesדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהֲלֹאha/LOhas notגַּם־בָּנוּgam-BA/nualso by usדִבֵּרdib/BERHe spokenוַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

   וְהָאִישׁve/ha/ISHand the manמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesעָנָוa/NAVwas meekמְאֹדme/ODveryמִכֹּלmik/KOLabove allהָאָדָםha/a/DAMthe menאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהָאֲדָמָה׃ha/a/da/MAthe earth

   (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDפִּתְאֹםpit/OMsuddenlyאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוְאֶל־אַהֲרֹןve/EL-a/ha/RONand to Aaronוְאֶל־מִרְיָםve/EL-mir/YAMand to Miriamצְאוּtse/Ucome outשְׁלׇשְׁתְּכֶםshe/losh/te/KHEMyou threeאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand came outשְׁלׇשְׁתָּם׃she/losh/TAMthe three of them

   And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

   וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand descendedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּעַמּוּדbe/am/MUDin a pillar ofעָנָןa/NANcloudוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronוּמִרְיָםu/Mir/YAMand Miriamוַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand they came forthשְׁנֵיהֶם׃she/ne/HEMboth of them

   And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidשִׁמְעוּ־נָאshim/U-nahear nowדְבָרָיde/va/RAYmy wordsאִם־יִהְיֶהim-yih/YEif there isנְבִיאֲכֶםne/vi/a/KHEMyour prophetיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבַּמַּרְאָהbam/mar/Ain a visionאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֶתְוַדָּעet/vad/DAdo I make myself knownבַּחֲלוֹםba/cha/LOMin a dreamאֲדַבֶּר־בּוֹ׃a/dab/BER-bodo I speak with him

   And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

   לֹא־כֵןlo-khennot soעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesבְּכׇל־בֵּיתִיbe/KHOL-be/TIin all my houseנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulהוּא׃huhe

   My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

   פֶּהpemouthאֶל־פֶּהel-peto mouthאֲדַבֶּר־בּוֹa/dab/BER-boI speak with himוּמַרְאֶהu/mar/Eand plainlyוְלֹאve/LOand notבְחִידֹתve/chi/DOTin riddlesוּתְמֻנַתu/te/mu/NATand the form ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיַבִּיטyab/BIThe beholdsוּמַדּוּעַu/mad/DU/aand whyלֹאlonotיְרֵאתֶםye/re/TEMwere you afraidלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakבְּעַבְדִּיbe/av/DIagainst my servantבְמֹשֶׁה׃ve/Mo/SHEagainst Moses

   With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9. 9

   וַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afand was kindled the anger ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבָּםbamagainst themוַיֵּלַךְ׃vay/ye/LAKHand he departed

   And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

10. 10

    וְהֶעָנָןve/he/a/NANand the cloudסָרsardepartedמֵעַלme/ALfrom overהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdמִרְיָםMir/YAMMiriamמְצֹרַעַתme/tso/RA/atwas leprousכַּשָּׁלֶגkash/SHA/legas snowוַיִּפֶןvay/YI/fenand lookedאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶל־מִרְיָםel-Mir/YAMto Miriamוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdמְצֹרָעַת׃me/tso/RA/atshe was leprous

    And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesבִּיbiohאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordאַל־נָאal-naplease do notתָשֵׁתta/SHETlayעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuupon usחַטָּאתchat/TATthe sinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin whichנוֹאַלְנוּno/AL/nuwe have done foolishlyוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand in whichחָטָאנוּ׃cha/TA/nuwe have sinned

    And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

    אַל־נָאal-naplease do notתְהִיte/HIlet her beכַּמֵּתkam/METas one deadאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whomבְּצֵאתוֹbe/tse/TOwhen he comes outמֵרֶחֶםme/RE/chemfrom the womb ofאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherוַיֵּאָכֵלvay/ye/a/KHELis consumedחֲצִיcha/TSIhalfבְשָׂרוֹ׃ve/sa/ROof his flesh

    Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.

    וַיִּצְעַקvay/yits/AKand criedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֵלelO GodנָאnaI prayרְפָאre/FAhealנָאnaI prayלָהּ׃laher

    And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14. 14

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוְאָבִיהָve/a/VI/haif her fatherיָרֹקya/ROKspitיָרַקya/RAKhad spitבְּפָנֶיהָbe/fa/NE/hain her faceהֲלֹאha/LOwould notתִכָּלֵםtik/ka/LEMshe be ashamedשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysתִּסָּגֵרtis/sa/GERlet her be shut outשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campוְאַחַרve/a/CHARand after thatתֵּאָסֵף׃te/a/SEFlet her be brought in

    And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

15. 15

    וַתִּסָּגֵרvat/tis/sa/GERand was shut outמִרְיָםMir/YAMMiriamמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוְהָעָםve/ha/AMand the peopleלֹאlonotנָסַעna/SAset outעַד־הֵאָסֵףad-he/a/SEFuntil was brought inמִרְיָם׃Mir/YAMMiriam

    And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

16. 16

    וְאַחַרve/a/CHARand afterwardנָסְעוּna/se/Uset outהָעָםha/AMthe peopleמֵחֲצֵרוֹתme/Cha/tse/ROTfrom Hazerothוַיַּחֲנוּvay/ya/cha/NUand encampedבְּמִדְבַּרbe/mid/BARin the wilderness ofפָּארָן׃Pa/RANParan

    And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
