    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

    צַוtsavcommandאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוִישַׁלְּחוּvi/shal/le/CHUthat they sendמִן־הַמַּחֲנֶהmin-ham/ma/cha/NEout of the campכׇּל־צָרוּעַkol-tsa/RU/aevery leperוְכׇל־זָבve/KHOL-zavand everyone with a dischargeוְכֹלve/KHOLand whoeverטָמֵאta/MEis uncleanלָנָפֶשׁ׃la/NA/feshby the dead

    Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

    מִזָּכָרmiz/za/KHARboth maleעַד־נְקֵבָהad-ne/ke/VAand femaleתְּשַׁלֵּחוּte/shal/LE/chuyou shall send outאֶל־מִחוּץel-mi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campתְּשַׁלְּחוּםte/shal/le/CHUMyou shall send themוְלֹאve/LOthat notיְטַמְּאוּye/tam/me/Uthey defileאֶת־מַחֲנֵיהֶםet-ma/cha/ne/HEMtheir campsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereאֲנִיa/NIIשֹׁכֵןsho/KHENdwellבְּתוֹכָם׃be/to/KHAMamong them

    Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

    וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵןvay/ya/a/SU-khenand did soבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיְשַׁלְּחוּvay/shal/le/CHUand they sent awayאוֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶל־מִחוּץel-mi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesכֵּןkensoעָשׂוּa/SUthey didבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

    דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאִישׁisha manאוֹ־אִשָּׁהo-ish/SHAor a womanכִּיkiwhenיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUcommitמִכׇּל־חַטֹּאתmik/KOL-chat/TOTany of the sins ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmenלִמְעֹלlim/OLby acting unfaithfullyמַעַלMA/alunfaithfulnessבַּיהֹוָהba-Adonaiagainst the LORDוְאָשְׁמָהve/a/she/MAand is guiltyהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshthe soulהַהִוא׃ha/HIVthat

    Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;

    וְהִתְוַדּוּve/hit/vad/DUthen they shall confessאֶת־חַטָּאתָםet-chat/ta/TAMtheir sinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשׂוּa/SUthey have doneוְהֵשִׁיבve/he/SHIVand he shall restoreאֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹet-a/sha/MOhis guiltבְּרֹאשׁוֹbe/ro/SHOin fullוַחֲמִישִׁתוֹva/cha/mi/shi/TOand the fifth part of itיֹסֵףyo/SEFhe shall addעָלָיוa/LAYVto itוְנָתַןve/na/TANand give itלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto him whomאָשַׁםa/SHAMhe has wrongedלוֹ׃loto him

    Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

    וְאִם־אֵיןve/IM-enbut if there is noלָאִישׁla/ISHto the manגֹּאֵלgo/ELkinsmanלְהָשִׁיבle/ha/SHIVto restoreהָאָשָׁםha/a/SHAMthe guiltאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהָאָשָׁםha/a/SHAMthe guiltהַמּוּשָׁבham/mu/SHAVrestoredלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDלַכֹּהֵןlak/ko/HENshall be the priest'sמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADbesidesאֵילelthe ram ofהַכִּפֻּרִיםhak/kip/pu/RIMatonementאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְכַפֶּר־בּוֹye/khap/PER-bohe shall make atonement with itעָלָיו׃a/LAYVfor him

    But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

    וְכׇל־תְּרוּמָהve/KHOL-te/ru/MAand every heave offeringלְכׇל־קׇדְשֵׁיle/KHOL-kod/SHEof all the holy things ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelאֲשֶׁר־יַקְרִיבוּa/SHER-yak/RI/vuwhich they bringלַכֹּהֵןlak/ko/HENto the priestלוֹlohisיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEshall be

    And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand every man'sאֶת־קֳדָשָׁיוet-ko/da/SHAYVhis holy thingsלוֹlohisיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beאִישׁishwhatever any manאֲשֶׁר־יִתֵּןa/SHER-yit/TENgivesלַכֹּהֵןlak/ko/HENto the priestלוֹlohisיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEshall be

    And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

  12. 12

    דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themאִישׁishanyאִישׁishmanכִּי־תִשְׂטֶהki-tis/TEif goes asideאִשְׁתּוֹish/TOhis wifeוּמָעֲלָהu/ma/a/LAand acts unfaithfullyבוֹvoagainst himמָעַל׃ma/ALunfaithfulness

    Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,

    וְשָׁכַבve/sha/KHAVand liesאִישׁisha manאֹתָהּo/TAwith herשִׁכְבַת־זֶרַעshikh/VAT-ZE/raan emission of semenוְנֶעְלַםve/ne/LAMand it is hiddenמֵעֵינֵיme/e/NEfrom the eyes ofאִישָׁהּi/SHAher husbandוְנִסְתְּרָהve/nis/te/RAand is kept closeוְהִיאve/HIand sheנִטְמָאָהnit/MA/ais defiledוְעֵדve/EDand witnessאֵיןenthere is noבָּהּbaagainst herוְהִואve/HIVand sheלֹאlonotנִתְפָּשָׂה׃nit/PA/sashe was taken

    And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;

    וְעָבַרve/a/VARand comesעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himרוּחַ־קִנְאָהRU/ach-kin/Aa spirit of jealousyוְקִנֵּאve/kin/NEand he is jealous ofאֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹet-ish/TOhis wifeוְהִואve/HIVand sheנִטְמָאָהnit/MA/ais defiledאוֹ־עָבַרo-a/VARor if comesעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himרוּחַ־קִנְאָהRU/ach-kin/Aa spirit of jealousyוְקִנֵּאve/kin/NEand he is jealous ofאֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹet-ish/TOhis wifeוְהִיאve/HIand sheלֹאlonotנִטְמָאָה׃nit/MA/ais defiled

    And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

    וְהֵבִיאve/he/VIthen shall bringהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹet-ish/TOhis wifeאֶל־הַכֹּהֵןel-hak/ko/HENto the priestוְהֵבִיאve/he/VIthen shall bringאֶת־קׇרְבָּנָהּet-kor/ba/NAher offeringעָלֶיהָa/LE/hafor herעֲשִׂירִתa/si/RITa tenth ofהָאֵיפָהha/e/FAthe ephahקֶמַחKE/machmealשְׂעֹרִיםse/o/RIMof barleyלֹא־יִצֹקlo-yi/TSOKhe shall pour noעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itשֶׁמֶןSHE/menoilוְלֹא־יִתֵּןve/LO-yit/TENnor putעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itלְבֹנָהle/vo/NAfrankincenseכִּי־מִנְחַתki-min/CHATfor a grain offering ofקְנָאֹתke/na/OTjealousyהוּאhuit isמִנְחַתmin/CHATa grain offering ofזִכָּרוֹןzik/ka/RONmemorialמַזְכֶּרֶתmaz/KE/retbringing to remembranceעָוֺן׃a/VONiniquity

    Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

    וְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVand shall bring nearאֹתָהּo/TAherהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְהֶעֱמִדָהּve/he/e/mi/DAand set herלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:

  17. 17

    וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand shall takeהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestמַיִםMA/yimwaterקְדֹשִׁיםke/do/SHIMholyבִּכְלִי־חָרֶשׂbikh/LI-CHA/resin a vessel of earthenwareוּמִן־הֶעָפָרu/MIN-he/a/FARand of the dustאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEisבְּקַרְקַעbe/kar/KAon the floor ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleיִקַּחyik/KACHshall takeהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְנָתַןve/na/TANand put itאֶל־הַמָּיִם׃el-ham/MA/yiminto the water

    And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:

    וְהֶעֱמִידve/he/e/MIDand shall setהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּפָרַעu/fa/RAand let looseאֶת־רֹאשׁet-roshthe head ofהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanוְנָתַןve/na/TANand putעַל־כַּפֶּיהָal-kap/PE/hain her handsאֵת־מִנְחַתet-min/CHATthe grain offering ofהַזִּכָּרוֹןhaz/zik/ka/RONmemorialמִנְחַתmin/CHATthe grain offering ofקְנָאֹתke/na/OTjealousyהִואhivit isוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand in the hand ofהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beמֵיmethe water ofהַמָּרִיםham/ma/RIMbitternessהַמְאָרְרִים׃ham/a/re/RIMthat bring the curse

    And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:

  19. 19

    וְהִשְׁבִּיעַve/hish/BI/aand shall make swearאֹתָהּo/TAherהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְאָמַרve/a/MARand sayאֶל־הָאִשָּׁהel-ha/ish/SHAto the womanאִם־לֹאim-loif noשָׁכַבsha/KHAVhas lainאִישׁisha manאֹתָךְo/TAKHwith youוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notשָׂטִיתsa/TITyou have gone asideטֻמְאָהtum/Ato uncleannessתַּחַתTA/chatwhile underאִישֵׁךְi/SHEKHyour husbandהִנָּקִיhin/na/KIbe freeמִמֵּיmim/MEfrom the water ofהַמָּרִיםham/ma/RIMbitternessהַמְאָרְרִיםham/a/re/RIMthat bring the curseהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

    וְאַתְּve/ATTbut youכִּיkiifשָׂטִיתsa/TITyou have gone asideתַּחַתTA/chatwhile underאִישֵׁךְi/SHEKHyour husbandוְכִיve/KHIand ifנִטְמֵאתnit/METyou are defiledוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand has givenאִישׁisha manבָּךְbakhwith youאֶת־שְׁכׇבְתּוֹet-she/khov/TOhis lyingמִבַּלְעֲדֵיmib/bal/a/DEbesidesאִישֵׁךְ׃i/SHEKHyour husband

    But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:

  21. 21

    וְהִשְׁבִּיעַve/hish/BI/aand he shall make swearהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanבִּשְׁבֻעַתbish/vu/ATwith the oath ofהָאָלָהha/a/LAthe curseוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestלָאִשָּׁהla/ish/SHAto the womanיִתֵּןyit/TENmakeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאוֹתָךְo/TAKHyouלְאָלָהle/a/LAa curseוְלִשְׁבֻעָהve/lish/vu/Aand an oathבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongעַמֵּךְam/MEKHyour peopleבְּתֵתbe/TETwhen makesיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־יְרֵכֵךְet-ye/re/KHEKHyour thighנֹפֶלֶתno/FE/letto fall awayוְאֶת־בִּטְנֵךְve/ET-bit/NEKHand your bellyצָבָה׃tsa/VAto swell

    Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;

    וּבָאוּu/VA/uand shall enterהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterהַמְאָרְרִיםham/a/re/RIMthat bring the curseהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/lethisבְּמֵעַיִךְbe/me/A/yikhinto your bowelsלַצְבּוֹתlats/BOTto make swellבֶּטֶןBE/tenyour bellyוְלַנְפִּלve/lan/PILand to make fall awayיָרֵךְya/REKHyour thighוְאָמְרָהve/a/me/RAand she shall sayהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanאָמֵןa/MENAmenאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

  23. 23

    וְכָתַבve/KHA/tavand he shall writeאֶת־הָאָלֹתet-ha/a/LOTthe cursesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestבַּסֵּפֶרbas/SE/ferin the bookוּמָחָהu/ma/CHAand he shall blot them outאֶל־מֵיel-meinto the water ofהַמָּרִים׃ham/ma/RIMbitterness

    And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:

  24. 24

    וְהִשְׁקָהve/hish/KAand he shall cause to drinkאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanאֶת־מֵיet-methe water ofהַמָּרִיםham/ma/RIMbitternessהַמְאָרְרִיםham/a/re/RIMthat bring the curseוּבָאוּu/VA/uand shall enterבָהּvainto herהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterהַמְאָרְרִיםham/a/re/RIMthat bring the curseלְמָרִים׃le/ma/RIMand become bitter

    And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.

    וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand shall takeהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestמִיַּדmiy/YADout of the hand ofהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanאֵת־מִנְחַתet-min/CHATthe grain offering ofהַקְּנָאֹתhak/ke/na/OTjealousyוְהֵנִיףve/he/NIFand shall waveאֶת־הַמִּנְחָהet-ham/min/CHAthe grain offeringלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVand offerאֹתָהּo/TAitאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃el-ham/miz/BE/achto the altar

    Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:

  26. 26

    וְקָמַץve/ka/MATSand he shall take a handfulהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestמִן־הַמִּנְחָהmin-ham/min/CHAof the grain offeringאֶת־אַזְכָּרָתָהּet-az/ka/ra/TAits memorial portionוְהִקְטִירve/hik/TIRand he shall burnהַמִּזְבֵּחָהham/miz/BE/chaon the altarוְאַחַרve/a/CHARand afterwardיַשְׁקֶהyash/KEshall cause to drinkאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanאֶת־הַמָּיִם׃et-ham/MA/yimthe water

    And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.

    וְהִשְׁקָהּve/hish/KAand when he has made her drinkאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe waterוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAthen it shall beאִם־נִטְמְאָהim-nit/me/Aif she is defiledוַתִּמְעֹלvat/tim/OLand has acted unfaithfullyמַעַלMA/alunfaithfulnessבְּאִישָׁהּbe/i/SHAagainst her husbandוּבָאוּu/VA/uand shall enterבָהּvainto herהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterהַמְאָרְרִיםham/a/re/RIMthat bring the curseלְמָרִיםle/ma/RIMand become bitterוְצָבְתָהve/tsa/ve/TAand shall swellבִטְנָהּvit/NAher bellyוְנָפְלָהve/na/fe/LAand shall fallיְרֵכָהּye/re/KHAher thighוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand she shall beהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanלְאָלָהle/a/LAa curseבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongעַמָּהּ׃am/MAher people

    And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

    וְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notנִטְמְאָהnit/me/Ais defiledהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanוּטְהֹרָהu/te/ho/RAbut is cleanהִואhivsheוְנִקְּתָהve/nik/ke/TAthen she shall be freeוְנִזְרְעָהve/niz/re/Aand shall conceiveזָרַע׃ZA/raseed

    And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

    זֹאתzotthisתּוֹרַתto/RATthe law ofהַקְּנָאֹתhak/ke/na/OTjealousiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenתִּשְׂטֶהtis/TEgoes asideאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanתַּחַתTA/chatwhile underאִישָׁהּi/SHAher husbandוְנִטְמָאָה׃ve/nit/MA/aand is defiled

    This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;

    אוֹoorאִישׁisha manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenתַּעֲבֹרta/a/VORcomesעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himרוּחַRU/achthe spirit ofקִנְאָהkin/Ajealousyוְקִנֵּאve/kin/NEand he is jealous ofאֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹet-ish/TOhis wifeוְהֶעֱמִידve/he/e/MIDand shall setאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand shall executeלָהּlaupon herהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֵת־כׇּל־הַתּוֹרָהet-kol-hat/to/RAall the lawהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

  31. 31

    וְנִקָּהve/nik/KAthen shall be guiltlessהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manמֵעָוֺןme/a/VONfrom iniquityוְהָאִשָּׁהve/ha/ish/SHAand the womanהַהִואha/HIVthatתִּשָּׂאtis/SAshe shall bearאֶת־עֲוֺנָהּ׃et-a/vo/NAher iniquity

    Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.
