   וַיִּקְרְבוּvay/yik/re/VUand came nearרָאשֵׁיra/SHEthe heads ofהָאָבוֹתha/a/VOTthe fathersלְמִשְׁפַּחַתle/mish/PA/chatof the family ofבְּנֵי־גִלְעָדbe/NE-gil/ADthe children of Gileadבֶּן־מָכִירben-Ma/KHIRson of Machirבֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁהben-Me/nash/SHEson of Manassehמִמִּשְׁפְּחֹתmim/mish/pe/CHOTof the families ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוַיְדַבְּרוּvay/dab/be/RUand spokeלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeהַנְּשִׂאִיםhan/ne/si/IMthe leadersרָאשֵׁיra/SHEthe heads ofאָבוֹתa/VOTthe fathersלִבְנֵיliv/NEof the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel:

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֶת־אֲדֹנִיet-a/do/NImy lordצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלָתֵתla/TETto giveאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landבְּנַחֲלָהbe/na/cha/LAfor an inheritanceבְּגוֹרָלbe/go/RALby lotלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַאדֹנִיva/do/NIand my lordצֻוָּהtsuv/VAwas commandedבַיהֹוָהba-Adonaiby the LORDלָתֵתla/TETto giveאֶת־נַחֲלַתet-na/cha/LATthe inheritance ofצְלׇפְחָדTse/lof/CHADZelophehadאָחִינוּa/CHI/nuour brotherלִבְנֹתָיו׃liv/no/TAYVto his daughters

   And they said, The LORD commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.

   וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand if they areלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADto anyמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEof the sons ofשִׁבְטֵיshiv/TEthe tribes ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelלְנָשִׁיםle/na/SHIMfor wivesוְנִגְרְעָהve/nig/re/Athen shall be taken awayנַחֲלָתָןna/cha/la/TANtheir inheritanceמִנַּחֲלַתmin/na/cha/LATfrom the inheritance ofאֲבֹתֵינוּa/vo/TE/nuour fathersוְנוֹסַףve/no/SAFand shall be addedעַלaltoנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofהַמַּטֶּהham/mat/TEthe tribeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERinto whichתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nathey shall beלָהֶםla/HEMreceivedוּמִגֹּרַלu/mig/go/RALand from the lot ofנַחֲלָתֵנוּna/cha/la/TE/nuour inheritanceיִגָּרֵעַ׃yig/ga/RE/ashall it be taken away

   And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.

   וְאִם־יִהְיֶהve/IM-yih/YEand when shall beהַיֹּבֵלhay/yo/VELthe jubileeלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְנוֹסְפָהve/nos/FAthen shall be addedנַחֲלָתָןna/cha/la/TANtheir inheritanceעַלaltoנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofהַמַּטֶּהham/mat/TEthe tribeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERinto whichתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nathey shall beלָהֶםla/HEMreceivedוּמִנַּחֲלַתu/min/na/cha/LATso from the inheritance ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofאֲבֹתֵינוּa/vo/TE/nuour fathersיִגָּרַעyig/ga/RAshall be taken awayנַחֲלָתָן׃na/cha/la/TANtheir inheritance

   And when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

   וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelעַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכֵּןkenrightמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְנֵי־יוֹסֵףve/NE-yo/SEFthe children of Josephדֹּבְרִים׃dov/RIMspeaks

   And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph hath said well.

   זֶהzethis isהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁר־צִוָּהa/SHER-tsiv/VAwhich has commandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTconcerning the daughters ofצְלׇפְחָדTse/lof/CHADZelophehadלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלַטּוֹבlat/TOVto whom is goodבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMin their eyesתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nalet them beלְנָשִׁיםle/na/SHIMfor wivesאַךְakhonlyלְמִשְׁפַּחַתle/mish/PA/chatto the family ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofאֲבִיהֶםa/vi/HEMtheir fatherתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nalet them beלְנָשִׁים׃le/na/SHIMfor wives

   This is the thing which the LORD doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.

   וְלֹא־תִסֹּבve/LO-tis/SOVso shall not moveנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAthe inheritanceלִבְנֵיliv/NEof the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמִמַּטֶּהmim/mat/TEfrom tribeאֶל־מַטֶּהel-mat/TEto tribeכִּיkiforאִישׁishevery oneבְּנַחֲלַתbe/na/cha/LATto the inheritance ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofאֲבֹתָיוa/vo/TAYVhis fathersיִדְבְּקוּyid/be/KUshall cleaveבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

   וְכׇל־בַּתve/KHOL-batand every daughterיֹרֶשֶׁתyo/RE/shetwho possessesנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAan inheritanceמִמַּטּוֹתmim/mat/TOTin any tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADto oneמִמִּשְׁפַּחַתmim/mish/PA/chatof the family ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofאָבִיהָa/VI/haher fatherתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beלְאִשָּׁהle/ish/SHAwifeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִירְשׁוּYI/re/shumay possessבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאִישׁishevery manנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofאֲבֹתָיו׃a/vo/TAYVhis fathers

   And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.

9. 9

   וְלֹא־תִסֹּבve/LO-tis/SOVand shall not moveנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAthe inheritanceמִמַּטֶּהmim/mat/TEfrom a tribeלְמַטֶּהle/mat/TEto tribeאַחֵרa/CHERanotherכִּי־אִישׁki-ishfor every oneבְּנַחֲלָתוֹbe/na/cha/la/TOto its own inheritanceיִדְבְּקוּyid/be/KUshall cleaveמַטּוֹתmat/TOTthe tribes ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.

    כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁהet-Mo/SHEMosesכֵּןkensoעָשׂוּa/SUthey didבְּנוֹתbe/NOTthe daughters ofצְלׇפְחָד׃Tse/lof/CHADZelophehad

    Even as the LORD commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:

11. 11

    וַתִּהְיֶינָהvat/tih/YE/nafor wereמַחְלָהMach/LAMahlahתִרְצָהTir/TSATirzahוְחׇגְלָהve/Chog/LAand Hoglahוּמִלְכָּהu/Mil/KAand Milcahוְנֹעָהve/No/Aand Noahבְּנוֹתbe/NOTthe daughters ofצְלׇפְחָדTse/lof/CHADZelophehadלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the sons ofדֹדֵיהֶןdo/de/HENtheir unclesלְנָשִׁים׃le/na/SHIMfor wives

    For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father's brothers' sons:

    מִמִּשְׁפְּחֹתmim/mish/pe/CHOTinto the families ofבְּנֵי־מְנַשֶּׁהbe/NE-me/nash/SHEthe children of Manassehבֶן־יוֹסֵףven-Yo/SEFson of Josephהָיוּha/YUthey wereלְנָשִׁיםle/na/SHIMfor wivesוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand remainedנַחֲלָתָןna/cha/la/TANtheir inheritanceעַל־מַטֵּהal-mat/TEin the tribe ofמִשְׁפַּחַתmish/PA/chatthe family ofאֲבִיהֶן׃a/vi/HENtheir father

    And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

13. 13

    אֵלֶּהEL/lethese areהַמִּצְוֺתham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִיםve/ham/mish/pa/TIMand the judgmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּיַד־מֹשֶׁהbe/YAD-mo/SHEby the hand of Mosesאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבְּעַרְבֹתbe/ar/VOTin the plains ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabעַלalbyיַרְדֵּןYar/DENthe Jordanיְרֵחוֹ׃Ye/re/CHOat Jericho

    These are the commandments and the judgments, which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
