   אֵלֶּהtheseהַדְּבָרִיםthe wordsאֲשֶׁרwhichדִּבֶּרspokeמֹשֶׁהMosesאֶל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵלto all Israelבְּעֵבֶרon the other side ofהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanבַּמִּדְבָּרin the wildernessבָּעֲרָבָהin the Arabahמוֹלopposite toסוּףSuphבֵּין־פָּארָןamong Paranוּבֵין־תֹּפֶלand between Tophelוְלָבָןand Labanוַחֲצֵרֹתand Hazerothוְדִיand Di-זָהָב׃zahab

   These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

   אַחַד־עָשָׂרelevenיוֹםdayמֵחֹרֵבfrom Horebדֶּרֶךְthe way ofהַר־שֵׂעִירmount SeirעַדuntilקָדֵשׁKadeshבַּרְנֵעַ׃Barnea

   (There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadesh-barnea.)

   וַיְהִיand it came to passבְּאַרְבָּעִיםin fortyשָׁנָהyearsבְּעַשְׁתֵּי־עָשָׂרin the eleventhחֹדֶשׁa month ofבְּאֶחָדin oneלַחֹדֶשׁof the monthדִּבֶּרspokeמֹשֶׁהMosesאֶל־בְּנֵיunto the sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelכְּכֹלaccording to allאֲשֶׁרwhichצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֹתוֹhimאֲלֵהֶם׃unto them

   And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

   אַחֲרֵיafterהַכֹּתוֹhe had smittenאֵת־סִיחֹןSihonמֶלֶךְthe king ofהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteאֲשֶׁרwhichיוֹשֵׁבdwellingבְּחֶשְׁבּוֹןin HeshbonוְאֵתandעוֹגOgמֶלֶךְthe king ofהַבָּשָׁןBashanאֲשֶׁר־יוֹשֵׁבwho dweltבְּעַשְׁתָּרֹתin Ashtarothבְּאֶדְרֶעִי׃in Edrei

   After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:

   בְּעֵבֶרon the other side ofהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofמוֹאָבMoabהוֹאִילbeganמֹשֶׁהMosesבֵּאֵרto declareאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהthe Lawהַזֹּאתthisלֵאמֹר׃saying

   On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godדִּבֶּרspokeאֵלֵינוּunto usבְּחֹרֵבat Horebלֵאמֹרsayingרַב־לָכֶםgreat to youשֶׁבֶתdwellingבָּהָרin the mountainהַזֶּה׃this

   The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

   פְּנוּturnוּסְעוּand set outלָכֶםto youוּבֹאוּand comeהַרthe mountain ofהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteוְאֶל־כׇּל־שְׁכֵנָיוand all its neighborsבָּעֲרָבָהin the Arabahבָהָרon the mountainוּבַשְּׁפֵלָהand in the Shephelahוּבַנֶּגֶבand in the Negevוּבְחוֹףand on the coast ofהַיָּםthe seaאֶרֶץthe land ofהַכְּנַעֲנִיthe Canaaniteוְהַלְּבָנוֹןand Lebanonעַד־הַנָּהָרuntil the riverהַגָּדֹלthe greatנְהַר־פְּרָת׃river of Euphrates

   Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

   רְאֵהbeholdנָתַתִּיI gaveלִפְנֵיכֶםbefore youאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landבֹּאוּcomeוּרְשׁוּand take possession ofאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landאֲשֶׁרwhichנִשְׁבַּעsworeיְהֹוָהthe LORDלַאֲבֹתֵיכֶםto your ancestorsלְאַבְרָהָםunto Abrahamלְיִצְחָקfor Isaacוּלְיַעֲקֹבand to Jacobלָתֵתto giveלָהֶםto themוּלְזַרְעָםand to their offspringאַחֲרֵיהֶם׃after them

   Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

   וָאֹמַרand I saidאֲלֵכֶםto youבָּעֵתat the timeהַהִואthatלֵאמֹרsayingלֹא־אוּכַלnot I couldלְבַדִּיaloneשְׂאֵתto bearאֶתְכֶם׃you

   And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

    יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםyour Godהִרְבָּהmuchאֶתְכֶםyouוְהִנְּכֶםand you areהַיּוֹםthe dayכְּכוֹכְבֵיlike the stars ofהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensלָרֹב׃in abundance

    The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

11. 11

    יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofאֲבוֹתֵכֶםyour ancestorsיֹסֵףmay he addעֲלֵיכֶםover youכָּכֶםas youאֶלֶףthousandפְּעָמִיםtimesוִיבָרֵךְand blessedאֶתְכֶםyouכַּאֲשֶׁרasדִּבֶּרspokeלָכֶם׃to you

    (The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)

12. 12

    אֵיכָהhowאֶשָּׂאI carryלְבַדִּיaloneטׇרְחֲכֶםyour troubleוּמַשַּׂאֲכֶםand your burdenוְרִיבְכֶם׃and your disputes

    How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?

13. 13

    הָבוּgiveלָכֶםto youאֲנָשִׁיםmenחֲכָמִיםwiseוּנְבֹנִיםand understandingוִידֻעִיםand knownלְשִׁבְטֵיכֶםto your tribesוַאֲשִׂימֵםso I may appoint themבְּרָאשֵׁיכֶם׃as your heads

    Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.

14. 14

    וַתַּעֲנוּand you answeredאֹתִיmeוַתֹּאמְרוּand you saidטוֹב־הַדָּבָרgood the wordאֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּרְתָּwhich you have spokenלַעֲשׂוֹת׃to do

    And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.

15. 15

    וָאֶקַּחand I tookאֶת־רָאשֵׁיthe heads ofשִׁבְטֵיכֶםyour tribesאֲנָשִׁיםmenחֲכָמִיםwiseוִידֻעִיםand knownוָאֶתֵּןand I gaveאוֹתָםthemרָאשִׁיםheadsעֲלֵיכֶםover youשָׂרֵיcaptains ofאֲלָפִיםthousandוְשָׂרֵיand captains ofמֵאוֹתhundredוְשָׂרֵיand captains ofחֲמִשִּׁיםfiftyוְשָׂרֵיand captains ofעֲשָׂרֹתtensוְשֹׁטְרִיםand officialsלְשִׁבְטֵיכֶם׃to your tribes

    So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.

16. 16

    וָאֲצַוֶּהand commandedאֶת־שֹׁפְטֵיכֶםyour judgesבָּעֵתat the timeהַהִואthatלֵאמֹרsayingשָׁמֹעַhearבֵּין־אֲחֵיכֶםamong your brethrenוּשְׁפַטְתֶּםand you will judgeצֶדֶקrighteousnessבֵּין־אִישׁbetween a manוּבֵין־אָחִיוand his brotherוּבֵיןand betweenגֵּרוֹ׃his sojourner

    And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

17. 17

    לֹא־תַכִּירוּnot you will pay regard toפָנִיםfacesבַּמִּשְׁפָּטin the judgmentכַּקָּטֹןas the smallכַּגָּדֹלas the greatתִּשְׁמָעוּןyou hearkenלֹאnotתָגוּרוּyou will be afraidמִפְּנֵי־אִישׁbecause of a manכִּיbecauseהַמִּשְׁפָּטthe judgmentלֵאלֹהִיםGodהוּאitוְהַדָּבָרand the thingאֲשֶׁרwhichיִקְשֶׁהit will be too hardמִכֶּםfrom youתַּקְרִבוּןyou will bring nearאֵלַיto meוּשְׁמַעְתִּיו׃and I will hear it

    Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

18. 18

    וָאֲצַוֶּהand commandedאֶתְכֶםyouבָּעֵתat the timeהַהִואthatאֵת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםall the wordsאֲשֶׁרwhichתַּעֲשׂוּן׃you should do

    And I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do.

19. 19

    וַנִּסַּעand we set outמֵחֹרֵבfrom Horebוַנֵּלֶךְand we wentאֵת־כׇּל־הַמִּדְבָּרall the wildernessהַגָּדוֹלthe greatוְהַנּוֹרָאand the awesomeהַהוּאthatאֲשֶׁרwhichרְאִיתֶםyou sawדֶּרֶךְthe way ofהַרmountainהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godאֹתָנוּusוַנָּבֹאand we cameעַדuntilקָדֵשׁKadeshבַּרְנֵעַ׃Barnea

    And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.

20. 20

    וָאֹמַרand I saidאֲלֵכֶםto youבָּאתֶםyou have entered intoעַד־הַרunto the mountain ofהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godנֹתֵןgivingלָנוּ׃to us

    And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us.

21. 21

    רְאֵהbeholdנָתַןgaveיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godלְפָנֶיךָbefore youאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landעֲלֵהgo upרֵשׁtake possession of itכַּאֲשֶׁרasדִּבֶּרspokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofאֲבֹתֶיךָyour fathersלָךְto youאַל־תִּירָאbe not afraidוְאַל־תֵּחָת׃and do not be dismayed

    Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.

22. 22

    וַתִּקְרְבוּןand you drew nearאֵלַיto meכֻּלְּכֶםall youוַתֹּאמְרוּand you saidנִשְׁלְחָהlet us sendאֲנָשִׁיםmenלְפָנֵינוּbefore usוְיַחְפְּרוּ־לָנוּso they may spy out usאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landוְיָשִׁבוּso they may bring backאֹתָנוּusדָּבָרa wordאֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְthe wayאֲשֶׁרwhichנַעֲלֶה־בָּהּlet us go up in itוְאֵתandהֶעָרִיםthe citiesאֲשֶׁרwhichנָבֹאwe will goאֲלֵיהֶן׃to them

    And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.

23. 23

    וַיִּיטַבand it was goodבְּעֵינַיin my eyesהַדָּבָרthe wordוָאֶקַּחand I tookמִכֶּםfrom youשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרtwelveאֲנָשִׁיםmenאִישׁa manאֶחָדoneלַשָּׁבֶט׃for every tribe

    And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe:

24. 24

    וַיִּפְנוּand they turnedוַיַּעֲלוּand they ascendedהָהָרָהto the mountainוַיָּבֹאוּand they cameעַד־נַחַלuntil a river ofאֶשְׁכֹּלEshcolוַיְרַגְּלוּand they spied outאֹתָהּ׃it

    And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out.

25. 25

    וַיִּקְחוּand they tookבְיָדָםin their handמִפְּרִיof fruit ofהָאָרֶץthe earthוַיּוֹרִדוּand they brought downאֵלֵינוּunto usוַיָּשִׁבוּand they brought backאֹתָנוּusדָבָרa wordוַיֹּאמְרוּand they saidטוֹבָהgoodהָאָרֶץthe earthאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godנֹתֵןgivingלָנוּ׃to us

    And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us.

26. 26

    וְלֹאand notאֲבִיתֶםyou were willingלַעֲלֹתto go upוַתַּמְרוּand you rebelled towardאֶת־פִּיmouth ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God:

27. 27

    וַתֵּרָגְנוּand you murmuredבְאׇהֳלֵיכֶםin your tentוַתֹּאמְרוּand you saidבְּשִׂנְאַתin a hatredיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֹתָנוּusהוֹצִיאָנוּhe led usמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרָיִםEgyptלָתֵתto giveאֹתָנוּusבְּיַדin the hand ofהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteלְהַשְׁמִידֵנוּ׃and destroy us

    And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

28. 28

    אָנָהwhitherאֲנַחְנוּweעֹלִיםgoing upאַחֵינוּour brethrenהֵמַסּוּthey have made meltאֶת־לְבָבֵנוּour heartsלֵאמֹרsayingעַםpeopleגָּדוֹלgreatוָרָםand loftyמִמֶּנּוּthan weעָרִיםcitiesגְּדֹלֹתlargeוּבְצוּרֹתand fortifiedבַּשָּׁמָיִםin the heavensוְגַם־בְּנֵיand also sons ofעֲנָקִיםthe Anakimsרָאִינוּwe sawשָׁם׃there

    Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.

29. 29

    וָאֹמַרand I saidאֲלֵכֶםto youלֹא־תַעַרְצוּןnot you shall be terrifiedוְלֹא־תִירְאוּןand not you shall be afraidמֵהֶם׃of them

    Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.

30. 30

    יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםyour Godהַהֹלֵךְthat goesלִפְנֵיכֶםbefore youהוּאheיִלָּחֵםshall warלָכֶםto youכְּכֹלaccording to allאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשָׂהhe madeאִתְּכֶםwith youבְּמִצְרַיִםin Egyptלְעֵינֵיכֶם׃to your eyes

    The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

31. 31

    וּבַמִּדְבָּרand in the wildernessאֲשֶׁרwhichרָאִיתָyou sawאֲשֶׁרwhichנְשָׂאֲךָcarried youיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godכַּאֲשֶׁרasיִשָּׂא־אִישׁshall bear a manאֶת־בְּנוֹhis sonבְּכׇל־הַדֶּרֶךְin all the wayאֲשֶׁרwhichהֲלַכְתֶּםyou wentעַד־בֹּאֲכֶםuntil you cameעַד־הַמָּקוֹםuntil the placeהַזֶּה׃this

    And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.

32. 32

    וּבַדָּבָרand in the thingהַזֶּהthisאֵינְכֶםyou were notמַאֲמִינִםtrustingבַּיהֹוָהin the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,

33. 33

    הַהֹלֵךְthat goesלִפְנֵיכֶםbefore youבַּדֶּרֶךְin the wayלָתוּרto seek outלָכֶםto youמָקוֹםa placeלַחֲנֹתְכֶםto camp youבָּאֵשׁby fireלַיְלָהnightלַרְאֹתְכֶםto show youבַּדֶּרֶךְin the wayאֲשֶׁרwhichתֵּלְכוּ־בָהּyou may walk in itוּבֶעָנָןand in the cloudיוֹמָם׃by day

    Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.

34. 34

    וַיִּשְׁמַעand heardיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־קוֹלthe voice ofדִּבְרֵיכֶםyour wordsוַיִּקְצֹףand was wrothוַיִּשָּׁבַעand sworeלֵאמֹר׃saying

    And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,

35. 35

    אִם־יִרְאֶהif shall seeאִישׁa manבָּאֲנָשִׁיםamong menהָאֵלֶּהtheseהַדּוֹרthe generationהָרָעthat which is evilהַזֶּהthisאֵת־הָאָרֶץthe landהַטּוֹבָהthe goodאֲשֶׁרwhichנִשְׁבַּעְתִּיI sworeלָתֵתto giveלַאֲבֹתֵיכֶם׃to your ancestors

    Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,

36. 36

    זוּלָתִיexceptכָּלֵבCalebבֶּן־יְפֻנֶּהson of Jephunnehהוּאheיִרְאֶנָּהhe will see itוְלוֹ־אֶתֵּןand unto him shall giveאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landאֲשֶׁרwhichדָּרַךְ־בָּהּhe has trodden in itוּלְבָנָיוand for his sonsיַעַןbecauseאֲשֶׁרwhichמִלֵּאhe fully followedאַחֲרֵיafterיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.

37. 37

    גַּם־בִּיalso against meהִתְאַנַּףwas angryיְהֹוָהthe LORDבִּגְלַלְכֶםbecause of youלֵאמֹרsayingגַּם־אַתָּהalso youלֹא־תָבֹאnot comeשָׁם׃there

    Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.

38. 38

    יְהוֹשֻׁעַJoshuaבִּן־נוּןson of Nunהָעֹמֵדthe one who standsלְפָנֶיךָbefore youהוּאheיָבֹאshall comeשָׁמָּהthereאֹתוֹhimחַזֵּקencourageכִּי־הוּאbecause it isיַנְחִלֶנָּהhe will give as an inheritance itאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃Israel

    But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

39. 39

    וְטַפְּכֶםand your little childrenאֲשֶׁרwhichאֲמַרְתֶּםyou have saidלָבַזplunderיִהְיֶהshall beוּבְנֵיכֶםand your sonsאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־יָדְעוּknow notהַיּוֹםthe dayטוֹבgoodוָרָעand evilהֵמָּהtheyיָבֹאוּcomeשָׁמָּהthereוְלָהֶםand to themאֶתְּנֶנָּהshall I give itוְהֵםand theyיִירָשׁוּהָ׃they will take possession of it

    Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

40. 40

    וְאַתֶּםand youפְּנוּturnלָכֶםto youוּסְעוּand set outהַמִּדְבָּרָהinto the wildernessדֶּרֶךְthe way ofיַם־סוּף׃the Red Sea

    But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

41. 41

    וַתַּעֲנוּand you answeredוַתֹּאמְרוּand you saidאֵלַיto meחָטָאנוּwe have sinnedלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֲנַחְנוּweנַעֲלֶהlet us go upוְנִלְחַמְנוּand we will fightכְּכֹלaccording to allאֲשֶׁר־צִוָּנוּwhich commanded usיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godוַתַּחְגְּרוּand you girded onאִישׁeachאֶת־כְּלֵיweapons ofמִלְחַמְתּוֹhis warוַתָּהִינוּand you regarded as easyלַעֲלֹתto go upהָהָרָה׃to the mountain

    Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill.

42. 42

    וַיֹּאמֶרand saidיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֵלַיto meאֱמֹרsayלָהֶםto themלֹאnotתַעֲלוּyou shall go upוְלֹא־תִלָּחֲמוּand not you shall fightכִּיforאֵינֶנִּיI am notבְּקִרְבְּכֶםamong youוְלֹאand notתִּנָּגְפוּyou will be defeatedלִפְנֵיbeforeאֹיְבֵיכֶם׃your enemies

    And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.

43. 43

    וָאֲדַבֵּרand I spokeאֲלֵיכֶםunto youוְלֹאand notשְׁמַעְתֶּםyou have heardוַתַּמְרוּand you rebelled towardאֶת־פִּיmouth ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDוַתָּזִדוּand you acted presumptuouslyוַתַּעֲלוּand you went upהָהָרָה׃to the mountain

    So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.

44. 44

    וַיֵּצֵאand went outהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteהַיֹּשֵׁבthe one who was dwellingבָּהָרin that mountainהַהוּאthatלִקְרַאתְכֶםto meet youוַיִּרְדְּפוּand pursuedאֶתְכֶםyouכַּאֲשֶׁרasתַּעֲשֶׂינָהthey doהַדְּבֹרִיםthe beesוַיַּכְּתוּand they beat you downאֶתְכֶםyouבְּשֵׂעִירin Seirעַד־חׇרְמָה׃until Hormah

    And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.

    וַתָּשֻׁבוּand you returnedוַתִּבְכּוּand you have weptלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDוְלֹא־שָׁמַעand not heardיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּקֹלְכֶםto your voiceוְלֹאand notהֶאֱזִיןhe gave earאֲלֵיכֶם׃unto you

    And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.

46. 46

    וַתֵּשְׁבוּand you remainedבְקָדֵשׁin Kadeshיָמִיםdaysרַבִּיםmanyכַּיָּמִיםlike the daysאֲשֶׁרwhichיְשַׁבְתֶּם׃you dwelt

    So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that ye abode there.
