    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

    צַוcommandאֶת־בְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelוְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵהֶםunto themכִּי־אַתֶּםbecause you areבָּאִיםcomeאֶל־הָאָרֶץunto the landכְּנָעַןCanaanזֹאתthisהָאָרֶץthe earthאֲשֶׁרwhichתִּפֹּלshall fallלָכֶםto youבְּנַחֲלָהan inheritanceאֶרֶץthe land ofכְּנַעַןCanaanלִגְבֻלֹתֶיהָ׃to its borders

    Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

    וְהָיָהand beלָכֶםto youפְּאַת־נֶגֶבthe side of southמִמִּדְבַּר־צִןfrom the wilderness of Zinעַל־יְדֵיalong the side ofאֱדוֹםEdomוְהָיָהand beלָכֶםto youגְּבוּלborder ofנֶגֶבsouthמִקְצֵהfrom the end ofיָם־הַמֶּלַחthe Salt Seaקֵדְמָה׃on the east

    Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:

    וְנָסַבand it will turnלָכֶםto youהַגְּבוּלthe border ofמִנֶּגֶבfrom southלְמַעֲלֵהto the ascent ofעַקְרַבִּיםAkrabbimוְעָבַרand shall passצִנָהto Zin(והיה)[וְהָיוּ]and beתּוֹצְאֹתָיוits extremitiesמִנֶּגֶבfrom southלְקָדֵשׁof KadeshבַּרְנֵעַBarneaוְיָצָאand shall come forthחֲצַר־אַדָּרHazar-addarוְעָבַרand shall passעַצְמֹנָה׃to Azmon

    And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, and shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass on to Azmon:

    וְנָסַבand it will turnהַגְּבוּלthe border ofמֵעַצְמוֹןfrom Azmonנַחְלָהto the wadi ofמִצְרָיִםEgyptוְהָיוּthen they shall beתוֹצְאֹתָיוits extremitiesהַיָּמָּה׃to the sea

    And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.

    וּגְבוּלand the border ofיָםthe seaוְהָיָהand beלָכֶםto youהַיָּםthe seaהַגָּדוֹלthe greatוּגְבוּלand the border ofזֶה־יִהְיֶהthis he shall beלָכֶםto youגְּבוּלborder ofיָם׃the sea

    And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.

    וְזֶה־יִהְיֶהand this he shall beלָכֶםto youגְּבוּלborder ofצָפוֹןthe northמִן־הַיָּםfrom the seaהַגָּדֹלthe greatתְּתָאוּyou will mark outלָכֶםto youהֹרHorהָהָר׃the mountain

    And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:

    מֵהֹרfrom Horהָהָרthe mountainתְּתָאוּyou will mark outלְבֹאLeboחֲמָתHamathוְהָיוּthen they shall beתּוֹצְאֹתthe extremities ofהַגְּבֻלthe borderצְדָדָה׃to Zedad

    From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:

    וְיָצָאand shall come forthהַגְּבֻלthe borderזִפְרֹנָהto Ziphronוְהָיוּthen they shall beתוֹצְאֹתָיוits extremitiesחֲצַרHazar-עֵינָןenanזֶה־יִהְיֶהthis he shall beלָכֶםto youגְּבוּלborder ofצָפוֹן׃the north

    And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazar-enan: this shall be your north border.

    וְהִתְאַוִּיתֶםand you will markלָכֶםto youלִגְבוּלto the border ofקֵדְמָהon the eastמֵחֲצַרfrom HazarעֵינָןEnanשְׁפָמָה׃to Shepham

    And ye shall point out your east border from Hazar-enan to Shepham:

    וְיָרַדand go downהַגְּבֻלthe borderמִשְּׁפָםfrom Shephamהָרִבְלָהto Riblahמִקֶּדֶםon the eastלָעָיִןof Ainוְיָרַדand go downהַגְּבֻלthe borderוּמָחָהand shall reachעַל־כֶּתֶףupon the shoulder ofיָם־כִּנֶּרֶתthe sea of Chinnerethקֵדְמָה׃on the east

    And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:

    וְיָרַדand go downהַגְּבוּלthe border ofהַיַּרְדֵּנָהto the Jordanוְהָיוּthen they shall beתוֹצְאֹתָיוits extremitiesיָםthe sea ofהַמֶּלַחsaltזֹאתthisתִּהְיֶהshall beלָכֶםto youהָאָרֶץthe earthלִגְבֻלֹתֶיהָto its bordersסָבִיב׃all around

    And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.

    וַיְצַוand commandedמֹשֶׁהMosesאֶת־בְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלֵאמֹרsayingזֹאתthisהָאָרֶץthe earthאֲשֶׁרwhichתִּתְנַחֲלוּyou will inheritאֹתָהּitבְּגוֹרָלby lotאֲשֶׁרwhichצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDלָתֵתto giveלְתִשְׁעַתto the nineהַמַּטּוֹתthe tribesוַחֲצִיand one half ofהַמַּטֶּה׃the tribe

    And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

  14. 14

    כִּיforלָקְחוּthey tookמַטֵּהthe tribe ofבְנֵיthe sons ofהָראוּבֵנִיthe Reubenitesלְבֵיתto the house ofאֲבֹתָםtheir fathersוּמַטֵּהand the tribe ofבְנֵי־הַגָּדִיthe sons of Gadלְבֵיתto the house ofאֲבֹתָםtheir fathersוַחֲצִיand one half ofמַטֵּהthe tribe ofמְנַשֶּׁהManassehלָקְחוּthey tookנַחֲלָתָם׃their inheritance

    For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

    שְׁנֵיtwoהַמַּטּוֹתthe tribesוַחֲצִיand one half ofהַמַּטֶּהthe tribeלָקְחוּthey tookנַחֲלָתָםtheir inheritanceמֵעֵבֶרacrossלְיַרְדֵּןof the Jordanיְרֵחוֹof Jerichoקֵדְמָהon the eastמִזְרָחָה׃eastward

    The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

  17. 17

    אֵלֶּהtheseשְׁמוֹתthe names ofהָאֲנָשִׁיםthe menאֲשֶׁר־יִנְחֲלוּwhich they will inheritלָכֶםto youאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landאֶלְעָזָרEleazarהַכֹּהֵןthe priestוִיהוֹשֻׁעַand Joshuaבִּן־נוּן׃son of Nun

    These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

  18. 18

    וְנָשִׂיאand a leaderאֶחָדoneנָשִׂיאa leaderאֶחָדoneמִמַּטֶּהfrom a tribeתִּקְחוּyou will takeלִנְחֹלto give as inheritanceאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃the land

    And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.

  19. 19

    וְאֵלֶּהand theseשְׁמוֹתthe names ofהָאֲנָשִׁיםthe menלְמַטֵּהof the tribe ofיְהוּדָהJudahכָּלֵבCalebבֶּן־יְפֻנֶּה׃son of Jephunneh

    And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

    וּלְמַטֵּהand of the tribe ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofשִׁמְעוֹןSimeonשְׁמוּאֵלSamuelבֶּן־עַמִּיהוּד׃son of Ammihud

    And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

    לְמַטֵּהof the tribe ofבִנְיָמִןBenjaminאֱלִידָדElidadבֶּן־כִּסְלוֹן׃son of Chislon

    Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

  22. 22

    וּלְמַטֵּהand of the tribe ofבְנֵי־דָןsons of Danנָשִׂיאa leaderבֻּקִּיBukkiבֶּן־יׇגְלִי׃son of Jogli

    And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.

  23. 23

    לִבְנֵיunto the sons ofיוֹסֵףJosephלְמַטֵּהof the tribe ofבְנֵי־מְנַשֶּׁהsons of Manassehנָשִׂיאa leaderחַנִּיאֵלHannielבֶּן־אֵפֹד׃son of Ephod

    The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

    וּלְמַטֵּהand of the tribe ofבְנֵי־אֶפְרַיִםsons of Ephraimנָשִׂיאa leaderקְמוּאֵלKemuelבֶּן־שִׁפְטָן׃son of Shiphtan

    And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

  25. 25

    וּלְמַטֵּהand of the tribe ofבְנֵי־זְבוּלֻןsons of Zebulunנָשִׂיאa leaderאֱלִיצָפָןElizaphanבֶּן־פַּרְנָךְ׃son of Parnach

    And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

    וּלְמַטֵּהand of the tribe ofבְנֵי־יִשָּׂשכָרsons of Issacharנָשִׂיאa leaderפַּלְטִיאֵלPaltielבֶּן־עַזָּן׃son of Azzan

    And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

  27. 27

    וּלְמַטֵּהand of the tribe ofבְנֵי־אָשֵׁרsons of Asherנָשִׂיאa leaderאֲחִיהוּדAhihudבֶּן־שְׁלֹמִי׃son of Shelomi

    And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

  28. 28

    וּלְמַטֵּהand of the tribe ofבְנֵי־נַפְתָּלִיsons of Naphtaliנָשִׂיאa leaderפְּדַהְאֵלPedahelבֶּן־עַמִּיהוּד׃son of Ammihud

    And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

  29. 29

    אֵלֶּהtheseאֲשֶׁרwhichצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDלְנַחֵלto apportion as an inheritance toאֶת־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofכְּנָעַן׃Canaan

    These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
