   Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

   The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,

   Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,

   הָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִכָּהhik/KAstruckיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeעֲדַתa/DATthe congregation ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶרֶץE/retsa land forמִקְנֶהmik/NElivestockהִואhivit isוְלַעֲבָדֶיךָve/la/a/va/DE/khaand your servants haveמִקְנֶה׃mik/NElivestock

   Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאִם־מָצָאנוּim-ma/TSA/nuif we have foundחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesיֻתַּןyut/TANlet be givenאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלַעֲבָדֶיךָla/a/va/DE/khato your servantsלַאֲחֻזָּהla/a/chuz/ZAfor a possessionאַל־תַּעֲבִרֵנוּal-ta/a/vi/RE/nudo not bring us overאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן׃et-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordan

   Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלִבְנֵי־גָדliv/NE-Gadto the children of Gadוְלִבְנֵיve/liv/NEand to the children ofרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenהַאַחֵיכֶםha/a/che/KHEMshall your brothersיָבֹאוּya/VO/ugoלַמִּלְחָמָהlam/mil/cha/MAto battleוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youתֵּשְׁבוּtesh/VUsitפֹה׃fohere

   And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

   וְלָמָּהve/LAM/maand why[תְנִיאוּן]te/ni/UNdo you discourageאֶת־לֵבet-levthe heart ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמֵעֲבֹרme/a/VORfrom going overאֶל־הָאָרֶץel-ha/A/retsinto the landאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןa/SHER-na/TANwhich has givenלָהֶםla/HEMto themיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?

   כֹּהkosoעָשׂוּa/SUthey didאֲבֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersבְּשׇׁלְחִיbe/shol/CHIwhen I sentאֹתָםo/TAMthemמִקָּדֵשׁmik/Ka/DESHfrom Kadesh-בַּרְנֵעַbar/NE/abarneaלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/A/retsthe land

   Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.

   וַיַּעֲלוּvay/ya/a/LUfor when they went upעַד־נַחַלad-NA/chalto the valley ofאֶשְׁכּוֹלEsh/KOLEshcolוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand they sawאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landוַיָּנִיאוּvay/ya/NI/uthey discouragedאֶת־לֵבet-levthe heart ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְבִלְתִּי־בֹאle/vil/TI-vothat they should not goאֶל־הָאָרֶץel-ha/A/retsinto the landאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןa/SHER-na/TANwhich had givenלָהֶםla/HEMto themיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.

    וַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afand was kindled the anger ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוַיִּשָּׁבַעvay/yish/sha/VAand sworeלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD's anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,

    אִם־יִרְאוּim-yir/Uthey shall not seeהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהָעֹלִיםha/o/LIMwho came upמִמִּצְרַיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egyptמִבֶּןmib/BENfromעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyשָׁנָהsha/NAyears oldוָמַעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardאֵת־הָאֲדָמָהet-ha/a/da/MAthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִשְׁבַּעְתִּיnish/BA/tiI sworeלְאַבְרָהָםle/Av/ra/HAMto Abrahamלְיִצְחָקle/Yits/CHAKto Isaacוּלְיַעֲקֹבu/Le/ya/a/KOVand to Jacobכִּיkibecauseלֹא־מִלְאוּlo-mil/Uthey have not fully followedאַחֲרָי׃a/cha/RAYme

    Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

    בִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptכָּלֵבKa/LEVCalebבֶּן־יְפֻנֶּהben-Ye/fun/NEson of Jephunnehהַקְּנִזִּיhak/Ke/niz/ZIthe KeneziteוִיהוֹשֻׁעַVi/ho/SHU/aand Joshuaבִּן־נוּןbin-Nunson of Nunכִּיkiforמִלְאוּmil/Uthey have fully followedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.

13. 13

    וַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afand was kindled the anger ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELagainst Israelוַיְנִעֵםvay/ni/EMand He made them wanderבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsעַד־תֹּםad-tomuntil was consumedכׇּל־הַדּוֹרkol-had/DORall the generationהָעֹשֶׂהha/o/SEthat had doneהָרַעha/RAthe evilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

14. 14

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdקַמְתֶּםkam/TEMyou have risenתַּחַתTA/chatin place ofאֲבֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersתַּרְבּוּתtar/BUTa brood ofאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenחַטָּאִיםchat/ta/IMsinfulלִסְפּוֹתlis/POTto augmentעוֹדodyetעַלaluponחֲרוֹןcha/RONthe fierceאַף־יְהֹוָהaf-Adonaithe anger of the LORDאֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃el-Yis/ra/ELtoward Israel

    And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

15. 15

    כִּיkifor ifתְשׁוּבֻןte/shu/VUNyou turn awayמֵאַחֲרָיוme/a/cha/RAYVfrom after Himוְיָסַףve/ya/SAFHe will againעוֹדodyetלְהַנִּיחוֹle/han/ni/CHOleave themבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessוְשִׁחַתֶּםve/shi/chat/TEMand you will destroyלְכׇל־הָעָםle/KHOL-ha/AMall the peopleהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

16. 16

    וַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand they came nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidגִּדְרֹתgid/ROTfolds forצֹאןtsonsheepנִבְנֶהniv/NEwe will buildלְמִקְנֵנוּle/mik/NE/nufor our livestockפֹּהpohereוְעָרִיםve/a/RIMand citiesלְטַפֵּנוּ׃le/tap/PE/nufor our little ones

    And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:

17. 17

    וַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nubut weנֵחָלֵץne/cha/LETSwill arm ourselvesחֻשִׁיםchu/SHIMin hasteלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאִם־הֲבִיאֹנֻםim-ha/vi/o/NUMwe have brought themאֶל־מְקוֹמָםel-me/ko/MAMto their placeוְיָשַׁבve/ya/SHAVand shall dwellטַפֵּנוּtap/PE/nuour little onesבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofהַמִּבְצָרham/miv/TSARfortifiedמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthe inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe land

    But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

18. 18

    לֹאlonotנָשׁוּבna/SHUVwill we returnאֶל־בָּתֵּינוּel-bat/TE/nuto our housesעַדaduntilהִתְנַחֵלhit/na/CHELhave inheritedבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאִישׁishevery manנַחֲלָתוֹ׃na/cha/la/TOhis inheritance

    We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.

19. 19

    כִּיkiforלֹאlonotנִנְחַלnin/CHALwill we inheritאִתָּםit/TAMwith themמֵעֵבֶרme/E/veracrossלַיַּרְדֵּןlay/Yar/DENthe Jordanוָהָלְאָהva/HAL/aor beyondכִּיkiforבָאָהva/Ahas comeנַחֲלָתֵנוּna/cha/la/TE/nuour inheritanceאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usמֵעֵבֶרme/E/veracrossהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanמִזְרָחָה׃miz/RA/chaeastward

    For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.

20. 20

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאִם־תַּעֲשׂוּןim-ta/a/SUNif you will doאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאִם־תֵּחָלְצוּim-te/cha/le/TSUif you will arm yourselvesלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלַמִּלְחָמָה׃lam/mil/cha/MAto battle

    And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,

21. 21

    וְעָבַרve/a/VARand will go overלָכֶםla/KHEMof youכׇּל־חָלוּץkol-cha/LUTSevery armed manאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןet-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordanלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַדaduntilהוֹרִישׁוֹho/ri/SHOHe has driven outאֶת־אֹיְבָיוet-oy/VAYVHis enemiesמִפָּנָיו׃mip/pa/NAYVfrom before Him

    And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,

22. 22

    וְנִכְבְּשָׁהve/nikh/be/SHAand is subduedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְאַחַרve/a/CHARthen afterwardתָּשֻׁבוּta/SHU/vuyou shall returnוִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand beנְקִיִּםne/kiy/YIMguiltlessמֵיְהֹוָהme-Adonaibefore the LORDוּמִיִּשְׂרָאֵלu/Miy/yis/ra/ELand from Israelוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand shall beהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלָכֶםla/KHEMyoursלַאֲחֻזָּהla/a/chuz/ZAfor a possessionלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

23. 23

    וְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notתַעֲשׂוּןta/a/SUNyou will doכֵּןkensoהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdחֲטָאתֶםcha/ta/TEMyou have sinnedלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiagainst the LORDוּדְעוּu/de/Uand be sureחַטַּאתְכֶםchat/ta/te/KHEMyour sinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּמְצָאtim/TSAwill find outאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

    But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

24. 24

    בְּנוּ־לָכֶםbe/NU-la/KHEMbuildעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesלְטַפְּכֶםle/tap/pe/KHEMfor your little onesוּגְדֵרֹתu/ge/de/ROTand foldsלְצֹנַאֲכֶםle/tso/na/a/KHEMfor your sheepוְהַיֹּצֵאve/hay/yo/TSEand what has proceededמִפִּיכֶםmip/pi/KHEMout of your mouthתַּעֲשׂוּ׃ta/a/SUdo

    Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.

25. 25

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבְּנֵי־גָדbe/NE-gadthe children of Gadוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the children ofרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUwill doכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordמְצַוֶּה׃me/tsav/VEcommands

    And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.

26. 26

    טַפֵּנוּtap/PE/nuour little onesנָשֵׁינוּna/SHE/nuour wivesמִקְנֵנוּmik/NE/nuour flocksוְכׇל־בְּהֶמְתֵּנוּve/KHOL-be/hem/TE/nuand all our cattleיִהְיוּ־שָׁםyih/YU-shamshall be thereבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofהַגִּלְעָד׃Hag/gil/ADGilead

    Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:

27. 27

    וַעֲבָדֶיךָva/a/va/DE/khaand your servantsיַעַבְרוּya/av/RUwill pass overכׇּל־חֲלוּץkol-cha/LUTSevery man armed forצָבָאtsa/VAwarלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלַמִּלְחָמָהlam/mil/cha/MAto battleכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordדֹּבֵר׃do/VERsays

    But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.

28. 28

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVso commandedלָהֶםla/HEMconcerning themמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֵת־אֶלְעָזָרet-El/a/ZAREleazarהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְאֵתve/ETandיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבִּן־נוּןbin-Nunson of Nunוְאֶת־רָאשֵׁיve/ET-ra/SHEand the heads ofאֲבוֹתa/VOTthe fathers ofהַמַּטּוֹתham/mat/TOTthe tribesלִבְנֵיliv/NEof the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themאִם־יַעַבְרוּim-ya/av/RUif will passבְנֵי־גָדve/NE-gadthe children of Gadוּבְנֵי־רְאוּבֵןu/ve/NE-re/u/VENand the children of Reubenאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןet-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordanכׇּל־חָלוּץkol-cha/LUTSevery armed manלַמִּלְחָמָהlam/mil/cha/MAto battleלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְנִכְבְּשָׁהve/nikh/be/SHAand is subduedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youוּנְתַתֶּםu/ne/tat/TEMthen you shall giveלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe land ofהַגִּלְעָדHag/gil/ADGileadלַאֲחֻזָּה׃la/a/chuz/ZAfor a possession

    And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

30. 30

    וְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notיַעַבְרוּya/av/RUwill they pass overחֲלוּצִיםcha/lu/TSIMarmedאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youוְנֹאחֲזוּve/no/cha/ZUthen they shall have possessionsבְתֹכְכֶםve/tokh/KHEMamong youבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofכְּנָעַן׃Ke/NA/anCanaan

    But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

31. 31

    וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand they answeredבְנֵי־גָדve/NE-gadthe children of Gadוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the children ofרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERhas saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־עֲבָדֶיךָel-a/va/DE/khato your servantsכֵּןkensoנַעֲשֶׂה׃na/a/SEwe will do

    And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

    נַחְנוּNACH/nuweנַעֲבֹרna/a/VORwill pass overחֲלוּצִיםcha/lu/TSIMarmedלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶרֶץE/retsinto the land ofכְּנָעַןKe/NA/anCanaanוְאִתָּנוּve/it/TA/nuthat with usאֲחֻזַּתa/chuz/ZATthe possession ofנַחֲלָתֵנוּna/cha/la/TE/nuour inheritanceמֵעֵבֶרme/E/veracrossלַיַּרְדֵּן׃lay/Yar/DENthe Jordan

    We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveלָהֶםla/HEMto themמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלִבְנֵי־גָדliv/NE-Gadto the children of Gadוְלִבְנֵיve/liv/NEand to the children ofרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenוְלַחֲצִיve/la/cha/TSIand to the half ofשֵׁבֶטSHE/vetthe tribe ofמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehבֶן־יוֹסֵףven-Yo/SEFson of Josephאֶת־מַמְלֶכֶתet-mam/LE/khetthe kingdom ofסִיחֹןSi/CHONSihonמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofהָאֱמֹרִיha/E/mo/RIthe Amoritesוְאֶת־מַמְלֶכֶתve/ET-mam/LE/khetand the kingdom ofעוֹגOgOgמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofהַבָּשָׁןHab/ba/SHANBashanהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landלְעָרֶיהָle/a/RE/hawith its citiesבִּגְבֻלֹתbig/vu/LOTin the bordersעָרֵיa/REthe cities ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.

    וַיִּבְנוּvay/yiv/NUand they builtבְנֵי־גָדve/NE-gadthe children of Gadאֶת־דִּיבֹןet-Di/VONDibonוְאֶת־עֲטָרֹתve/ET-a/ta/ROTand Atarothוְאֵתve/ETandעֲרֹעֵר׃A/ro/ERAroer

    And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

35. 35

    וְאֶת־עַטְרֹתve/ET-at/ROTand Atroth-שׁוֹפָןsho/FANshophanוְאֶת־יַעְזֵרve/ET-ya/ZERand Jazerוְיׇגְבְּהָה׃ve/Yog/be/HAand Jogbehah

    And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,

36. 36

    וְאֶת־בֵּיתve/ET-betand Beth-נִמְרָהnim/RAnimrahוְאֶת־בֵּיתve/ET-betand Beth-הָרָןha/RANharanעָרֵיa/REcitiesמִבְצָרmiv/TSARfortifiedוְגִדְרֹתve/gid/ROTand folds forצֹאן׃tsonsheep

    And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.

37. 37

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the children ofרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenבָּנוּBA/nubuiltאֶת־חֶשְׁבּוֹןet-Chesh/BONHeshbonוְאֶת־אֶלְעָלֵאve/ET-el/a/LEand Elealehוְאֵתve/ETandקִרְיָתָיִם׃Kir/ya/TA/yimKirjathaim

    And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

38. 38

    וְאֶת־נְבוֹve/ET-ne/VOand Neboוְאֶת־בַּעַלve/ET-BA/aland Baal-מְעוֹןme/ONmeonמוּסַבֹּתmu/sab/BOTbeing changedשֵׁםshemtheir namesוְאֶת־שִׂבְמָהve/ET-siv/MAand Sibmahוַיִּקְרְאוּvay/yik/re/Uand they calledבְשֵׁמֹתve/she/MOTby namesאֶת־שְׁמוֹתet-she/MOTthe names ofהֶעָרִיםhe/a/RIMthe citiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּנוּ׃BA/nuthey built

    And Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.

39. 39

    וַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofמָכִירMa/KHIRMachirבֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁהben-Me/nash/SHEson of ManassehגִּלְעָדָהGil/A/dato Gileadוַיִּלְכְּדֻהָvay/yil/ke/DU/haand took itוַיּוֹרֶשׁvay/YO/reshand dispossessedאֶת־הָאֱמֹרִיet-Ha/e/mo/RIthe Amoriteאֲשֶׁר־בָּהּ׃a/SHER-bawho were in it

    And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.

40. 40

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־הַגִּלְעָדet-Hag/gil/ADGileadלְמָכִירle/Ma/KHIRto Machirבֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁהben-Me/nash/SHEson of Manassehוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand he dweltבָּהּ׃bain it

    And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.

41. 41

    וְיָאִירve/Ya/IRand Jairבֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁהben-Me/nash/SHEson of Manassehהָלַךְha/LAKHwentוַיִּלְכֹּדvay/yil/KODand tookאֶת־חַוֺּתֵיהֶםet-chav/vo/te/HEMtheir villagesוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֶתְהֶןet/HENthemחַוֺּתChav/VOTHavvoth-יָאִיר׃ya/IRjair

    And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havoth-jair.

42. 42

    וְנֹבַחve/NO/vachand Nobahהָלַךְha/LAKHwentוַיִּלְכֹּדvay/yil/KODand tookאֶת־קְנָתet-Ke/NATKenathוְאֶת־בְּנֹתֶיהָve/ET-be/no/TE/haand its villagesוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledלָהֿlaitנֹבַחNO/vachNobahבִּשְׁמוֹ׃bish/MOafter his own name

    And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
