   These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spake with Moses in mount Sinai.

   And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

   These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.

   And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father.

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

   הַקְרֵבhak/REVbring nearאֶת־מַטֵּהet-mat/TEthe tribe ofלֵוִיLe/VILeviוְהַעֲמַדְתָּve/ha/a/mad/TAand presentאֹתוֹo/TOhimלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְשֵׁרְתוּve/sher/TUthat they may ministerאֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

   Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.

   וְשָׁמְרוּve/sha/me/RUand they shall keepאֶת־מִשְׁמַרְתּוֹet-mish/mar/TOhis chargeוְאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתve/ET-mish/ME/retand the charge ofכׇּל־הָעֵדָהkol-ha/e/DAall the congregationלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto doאֶת־עֲבֹדַתet-a/vo/DATthe service ofהַמִּשְׁכָּן׃ham/mish/KANthe tabernacle

   And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.

   וְשָׁמְרוּve/sha/me/RUand they shall keepאֶת־כׇּל־כְּלֵיet-kol-ke/LEall the furnishings ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתve/ET-mish/ME/retand the charge ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto doאֶת־עֲבֹדַתet-a/vo/DATthe service ofהַמִּשְׁכָּן׃ham/mish/KANthe tabernacle

   And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

9. 9

   וְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall giveאֶת־הַלְוִיִּםet-Hal/viy/YIMthe Levitesלְאַהֲרֹןle/A/ha/RONto Aaronוּלְבָנָיוu/le/va/NAYVand to his sonsנְתוּנִםne/tu/NIMgivenנְתוּנִםne/tu/NIMgivenהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areלוֹloto himמֵאֵתme/ETfromבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel.

10. 10

    וְאֶת־אַהֲרֹןve/ET-a/ha/RONand Aaronוְאֶת־בָּנָיוve/ET-ba/NAYVand his sonsתִּפְקֹדtif/KODyou shall appointוְשָׁמְרוּve/sha/me/RUand they shall keepאֶת־כְּהֻנָּתָםet-ke/hun/na/TAMtheir priesthoodוְהַזָּרve/haz/ZARand the outsiderהַקָּרֵבhak/ka/REVwho comes nearיוּמָת׃yu/MATshall be put to death

    And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

12. 12

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלָקַחְתִּיla/KACH/tiI have takenאֶת־הַלְוִיִּםet-Hal/viy/YIMthe Levitesמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom amongבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelתַּחַתTA/chatinstead ofכׇּל־בְּכוֹרkol-be/KHORevery firstbornפֶּטֶרPE/terthat opensרֶחֶםRE/chemthe wombמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEamong the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְהָיוּve/ha/YUtherefore shall beלִיlimineהַלְוִיִּם׃Hal/viy/YIMthe Levites

    And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;

    כִּיkiforלִיlimine isכׇּל־בְּכוֹרkol-be/KHORevery firstbornבְּיוֹםbe/YOMon the dayהַכֹּתִיhak/ko/TIthat I struckכׇל־בְּכוֹרkhol-be/KHORevery firstbornבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptהִקְדַּשְׁתִּיhik/DASH/tiI hallowedלִיlito meכׇל־בְּכוֹרkhol-be/KHORevery firstbornבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלBe/yis/ra/ELIsraelמֵאָדָםme/a/DAMboth manעַד־בְּהֵמָהad-be/he/MAand beastלִיlimineיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesבְּמִדְבַּרbe/mid/BARin the wilderness ofסִינַיSi/NAYSinaiלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15. 15

    פְּקֹדpe/KODnumberאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe children ofלֵוִיLe/VILeviלְבֵיתle/VETby the house ofאֲבֹתָםa/vo/TAMtheir fathersלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםle/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their familiesכׇּל־זָכָרkol-za/KHARevery maleמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldוָמַעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardתִּפְקְדֵם׃tif/ke/DEMyou shall number them

    Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.

16. 16

    וַיִּפְקֹדvay/yif/KODand numberedאֹתָםo/TAMthemמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesעַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצֻוָּה׃tsuv/VAhe was commanded

    And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

17. 17

    וַיִּהְיוּ־אֵלֶּהvay/yih/YU-EL/leand these wereבְנֵי־לֵוִיve/NE-le/VIthe sons of Leviבִּשְׁמֹתָםbish/mo/TAMby their namesגֵּרְשׁוֹןGer/SHONGershonוּקְהָתu/Ke/HATand Kohathוּמְרָרִי׃u/Me/ra/RIand Merari

    And these were the sons of Levi by their names; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.

18. 18

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseשְׁמוֹתshe/MOTthe names ofבְּנֵי־גֵרְשׁוֹןbe/NE-ger/SHONthe sons of Gershonלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםle/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their familiesלִבְנִיLiv/NILibniוְשִׁמְעִי׃ve/Shim/Iand Shimei

    And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei.

19. 19

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofקְהָתKe/HATKohathלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםle/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their familiesעַמְרָםAm/RAMAmramוְיִצְהָרve/Yits/HARand IzharחֶבְרוֹןChev/RONHebronוְעֻזִּיאֵל׃ve/Uz/zi/ELand Uzziel

    And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

20. 20

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofמְרָרִיMe/ra/RIMerariלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםle/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their familiesמַחְלִיMach/LIMahliוּמוּשִׁיu/Mu/SHIand MushiאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהֵםhemareמִשְׁפְּחֹתmish/pe/CHOTthe families ofהַלֵּוִיhal/Le/VIthe Levitesלְבֵיתle/VETby the house ofאֲבֹתָם׃a/vo/TAMtheir fathers

    And the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.

21. 21

    לְגֵרְשׁוֹןle/Ger/SHONof Gershonמִשְׁפַּחַתmish/PA/chatthe family ofהַלִּבְנִיhal/Liv/NIthe Libnitesוּמִשְׁפַּחַתu/mish/PA/chatand the family ofהַשִּׁמְעִיhash/Shim/Ithe ShimitesאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהֵםhemareמִשְׁפְּחֹתmish/pe/CHOTthe families ofהַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּי׃hag/Ger/shun/NIthe Gershonites

    Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimites: these are the families of the Gershonites.

22. 22

    פְּקֻדֵיהֶםpe/ku/de/HEMthose numbered of themבְּמִסְפַּרbe/mis/PARaccording to the number ofכׇּל־זָכָרkol-za/KHARevery maleמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldוָמָעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardפְּקֻדֵיהֶםpe/ku/de/HEMthose numbered of themשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMthousandוַחֲמֵשׁva/cha/MESHand fiveמֵאוֹת׃me/OThundred

    Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.

23. 23

    מִשְׁפְּחֹתmish/pe/CHOTthe families ofהַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּיhag/Ger/shun/NIthe Gershonitesאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUshall encampיָמָּה׃YAM/mawestward

    The families of the Gershonites shall pitch behind the tabernacle westward.

24. 24

    וּנְשִׂיאu/ne/SIand the leader ofבֵית־אָבvet-avthe father's house ofלַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּיlag/Ger/shun/NIof the GershonitesאֶלְיָסָףEl/ya/SAFEliasaphבֶּן־לָאֵל׃ben-La/ELson of Lael

    And the chief of the house of the father of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.

25. 25

    וּמִשְׁמֶרֶתu/mish/ME/retand the charge ofבְּנֵי־גֵרְשׁוֹןbe/NE-ger/SHONthe sons of Gershonבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleוְהָאֹהֶלve/ha/O/heland the tentמִכְסֵהוּmikh/SE/huits coveringוּמָסַךְu/ma/SAKHand the screen ofפֶּתַחPE/tachthe door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

    And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

26. 26

    וְקַלְעֵיve/kal/Eand the hangings ofהֶחָצֵרhe/cha/TSERthe courtוְאֶת־מָסַךְve/ET-ma/SAKHand the screen ofפֶּתַחPE/tachthe door ofהֶחָצֵרhe/cha/TSERthe courtאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANby the tabernacleוְעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַve/AL-ham/miz/BE/achand by the altarסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutוְאֵתve/ETandמֵיתָרָיוme/ta/RAYVits cordsלְכֹלle/KHOLfor allעֲבֹדָתוֹ׃a/vo/da/TOits service

    And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.

    וְלִקְהָתve/Lik/HATand of Kohathמִשְׁפַּחַתmish/PA/chatthe family ofהַעַמְרָמִיha/Am/ra/MIthe Amramitesוּמִשְׁפַּחַתu/mish/PA/chatand the family ofהַיִּצְהָרִיhay/Yits/ha/RIthe Izharitesוּמִשְׁפַּחַתu/mish/PA/chatand the family ofהַחֶבְרֹנִיha/Chev/ro/NIthe Hebronitesוּמִשְׁפַּחַתu/mish/PA/chatand the family ofהָעׇזִּיאֵלִיha/Oz/zi/e/LIthe UzzielitesאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהֵםhemareמִשְׁפְּחֹתmish/pe/CHOTthe families ofהַקְּהָתִי׃hak/Ke/ha/TIthe Kohathites

    And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izeharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.

    בְּמִסְפַּרbe/mis/PARaccording to the number ofכׇּל־זָכָרkol-za/KHARevery maleמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldוָמָעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardשְׁמֹנַתshe/mo/NATeightאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMthousandוְשֵׁשׁve/SHESHand sixמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשֹׁמְרֵיshom/REkeepingמִשְׁמֶרֶתmish/ME/retthe charge ofהַקֹּדֶשׁ׃hak/KO/deshthe sanctuary

    In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.

29. 29

    מִשְׁפְּחֹתmish/pe/CHOTthe families ofבְּנֵי־קְהָתbe/NE-ke/HATthe sons of Kohathיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUshall encampעַלalonיֶרֶךְYE/rekhthe side ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleתֵּימָנָה׃te/MA/nasouthward

    The families of the sons of Kohath shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle southward.

30. 30

    וּנְשִׂיאu/ne/SIand the leader ofבֵית־אָבvet-avthe father's house ofלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתle/mish/pe/CHOTof the families ofהַקְּהָתִיhak/Ke/ha/TIthe KohathitesאֱלִיצָפָןE/li/tsa/FANElizaphanבֶּן־עֻזִּיאֵל׃ben-Uz/zi/ELson of Uzziel

    And the chief of the house of the father of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.

31. 31

    וּמִשְׁמַרְתָּםu/mish/mar/TAMand their chargeהָאָרֹןha/a/RONthe arkוְהַשֻּׁלְחָןve/hash/shul/CHANand the tableוְהַמְּנֹרָהve/ham/me/no/RAand the lampstandוְהַמִּזְבְּחֹתve/ham/miz/be/CHOTand the altarsוּכְלֵיu/khe/LEand the vessels ofהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshthe sanctuaryאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְשָׁרְתוּye/sha/re/TUthey ministerבָּהֶםba/HEMwith themוְהַמָּסָךְve/ham/ma/SAKHand the screenוְכֹלve/KHOLand allעֲבֹדָתוֹ׃a/vo/da/TOits service

    And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the hanging, and all the service thereof.

32. 32

    וּנְשִׂיאu/ne/SIand the chief ofנְשִׂיאֵיne/si/Ethe leaders ofהַלֵּוִיhal/Le/VIthe LevitesאֶלְעָזָרEl/a/ZAREleazarבֶּן־אַהֲרֹןben-A/ha/RONson of Aaronהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestפְּקֻדַּתpe/kud/DAThaving the oversight ofשֹׁמְרֵיshom/REthose who keepמִשְׁמֶרֶתmish/ME/retthe charge ofהַקֹּדֶשׁ׃hak/KO/deshthe sanctuary

    And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.

33. 33

    לִמְרָרִיLim/ra/RIof Merariמִשְׁפַּחַתmish/PA/chatthe family ofהַמַּחְלִיham/Mach/LIthe Mahlitesוּמִשְׁפַּחַתu/mish/PA/chatand the family ofהַמּוּשִׁיham/Mu/SHIthe MushitesאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהֵםhemareמִשְׁפְּחֹתmish/pe/CHOTthe families ofמְרָרִי׃Me/ra/RIMerari

    Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.

34. 34

    וּפְקֻדֵיהֶםu/fe/ku/de/HEMand those numbered of themבְּמִסְפַּרbe/mis/PARaccording to the number ofכׇּל־זָכָרkol-za/KHARevery maleמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldוָמָעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardשֵׁשֶׁתSHE/shetsixאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMthousandוּמָאתָיִם׃u/ma/TA/yimand two hundred

    And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.

35. 35

    וּנְשִׂיאu/ne/SIand the leader ofבֵית־אָבvet-avthe father's house ofלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתle/mish/pe/CHOTof the families ofמְרָרִיMe/ra/RIMerariצוּרִיאֵלTsu/ri/ELZurielבֶּן־אֲבִיחָיִלben-A/vi/CHA/yilson of AbihailעַלalonיֶרֶךְYE/rekhthe side ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleיַחֲנוּya/cha/NUshall encampצָפֹנָה׃tsa/FO/nanorthward

    And the chief of the house of the father of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward.

36. 36

    וּפְקֻדַּתu/fe/kud/DATand the oversight ofמִשְׁמֶרֶתmish/ME/retthe charge ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofמְרָרִיMe/ra/RIMerariקַרְשֵׁיkar/SHEthe boards ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleוּבְרִיחָיוu/ve/ri/CHAYVand its barsוְעַמֻּדָיוve/am/mu/DAYVand its pillarsוַאֲדָנָיוva/a/da/NAYVand its socketsוְכׇל־כֵּלָיוve/KHOL-ke/LAYVand all its furnishingsוְכֹלve/KHOLand allעֲבֹדָתוֹ׃a/vo/da/TOits service

    And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the vessels thereof, and all that serveth thereto,

37. 37

    וְעַמֻּדֵיve/am/mu/DEand the pillars ofהֶחָצֵרhe/cha/TSERthe courtסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutוְאַדְנֵיהֶםve/ad/ne/HEMand their socketsוִיתֵדֹתָםvi/te/do/TAMand their pegsוּמֵיתְרֵיהֶם׃u/me/te/re/HEMand their cords

    And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.

38. 38

    וְהַחֹנִיםve/ha/cho/NIMand those who encampלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleקֵדְמָהKED/maon the eastלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֹהֶל־מוֹעֵדO/hel-mo/EDthe tent of meetingמִזְרָחָהmiz/RA/chaeastwardמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronוּבָנָיוu/va/NAYVand his sonsשֹׁמְרִיםshom/RIMkeepingמִשְׁמֶרֶתmish/ME/retthe charge ofהַמִּקְדָּשׁham/mik/DASHthe sanctuaryלְמִשְׁמֶרֶתle/mish/ME/retfor the charge ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְהַזָּרve/haz/ZARand the outsiderהַקָּרֵבhak/ka/REVwho comes nearיוּמָת׃yu/MATshall be put to death

    But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

39. 39

    כׇּל־פְּקוּדֵיkol-pe/ku/DEall those numbered ofהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomפָּקַדpa/KADnumberedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְׄאַׄהֲׄרֹׄןׄve/A/ha/RONand Aaronעַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםle/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their familiesכׇּל־זָכָרkol-za/KHARevery maleמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldוָמַעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyאָלֶף׃A/lefthousand

    All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.

40. 40

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesפְּקֹדpe/KODnumberכׇּל־בְּכֹרkol-be/KHORevery firstbornזָכָרza/KHARmaleלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldוָמָעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardוְשָׂאve/SAand takeאֵת־מִסְפַּרet-mis/PARthe number ofשְׁמֹתָם׃she/mo/TAMtheir names

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41. 41

    וְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand you shall takeאֶת־הַלְוִיִּםet-Hal/viy/YIMthe Levitesלִיlifor meאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDתַּחַתTA/chatinstead ofכׇּל־בְּכֹרkol-be/KHORall the firstbornבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאֵתve/ETandבֶּהֱמַתbe/he/MATthe cattle ofהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe LevitesתַּחַתTA/chatinstead ofכׇּל־בְּכוֹרkol-be/KHORall the firstlingsבְּבֶהֱמַתbe/ve/he/MATamong the cattle ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.

42. 42

    וַיִּפְקֹדvay/yif/KODand numberedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֹתוֹo/TOhimאֶת־כׇּל־בְּכוֹרet-kol-be/KHORall the firstbornבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.

43. 43

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכׇל־בְּכוֹרkhol-be/KHORall the firstbornזָכָרza/KHARmalesבְּמִסְפַּרbe/mis/PARaccording to the number ofשֵׁמֹתshe/MOTthe namesמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldוָמַעְלָהva/MA/laand upwardלִפְקֻדֵיהֶםlif/ku/de/HEMof those numbered of themשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyאֶלֶףE/lefthousandשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeוְשִׁבְעִיםve/shiv/IMand seventyוּמָאתָיִם׃u/ma/TA/yimand two hundred

    And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen.

44. 44

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

45. 45

    קַחkachtakeאֶת־הַלְוִיִּםet-Hal/viy/YIMthe LevitesתַּחַתTA/chatinstead ofכׇּל־בְּכוֹרkol-be/KHORall the firstbornבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאֶת־בֶּהֱמַתve/ET-be/he/MATand the cattle ofהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe LevitesתַּחַתTA/chatinstead ofבְּהֶמְתָּםbe/hem/TAMtheir cattleוְהָיוּ־לִיve/ha/YU-liand shall be mineהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD.

46. 46

    וְאֵתve/ETandפְּדוּיֵיpe/du/YEthose to be redeemed ofהַשְּׁלֹשָׁהhash/she/lo/SHAthe threeוְהַשִּׁבְעִיםve/hash/shiv/IMand the seventyוְהַמָּאתָיִםve/ham/ma/TA/yimand the two hundredהָעֹדְפִיםha/od/FIMwho are more thanעַל־הַלְוִיִּםal-Hal/viy/YIMthe Levitesמִבְּכוֹרmib/be/KHORof the firstborn ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are more than the Levites;

47. 47

    וְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand you shall takeחֲמֵשֶׁתcha/ME/shetfiveחֲמֵשֶׁתcha/ME/shetfiveשְׁקָלִיםshe/ka/LIMshekelsלַגֻּלְגֹּלֶתlag/gul/GO/leta headבְּשֶׁקֶלbe/SHE/kelby the shekel ofהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshthe sanctuaryתִּקָּחtik/KACHyou shall take themעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyגֵּרָהge/RAgerahsהַשָּׁקֶל׃hash/SHA/kelthe shekel

    Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:)

48. 48

    וְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall giveהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe moneyלְאַהֲרֹןle/A/ha/RONto Aaronוּלְבָנָיוu/le/va/NAYVand to his sonsפְּדוּיֵיpe/du/YEthe redemption ofהָעֹדְפִיםha/od/FIMthe excessבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMof them

    And thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons.

49. 49

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֵת־כֶּסֶףet-KE/sefthe money ofהַפִּדְיוֹםhap/pid/YOMthe redemptionמֵאֵתme/ETfromהָעֹדְפִיםha/od/FIMthose who were moreעַלalthanפְּדוּיֵיpe/du/YEthose redeemed byהַלְוִיִּם׃Hal/viy/YIMthe Levites

    And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites:

50. 50

    מֵאֵתme/ETfromבְּכוֹרbe/KHORthe firstborn ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלָקַחla/KACHhe tookאֶת־הַכָּסֶףet-hak/KA/sefthe moneyחֲמִשָּׁהcha/mish/SHAfiveוְשִׁשִּׁיםve/shish/SHIMand sixtyוּשְׁלֹשׁu/she/LOSHand threeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredוָאֶלֶףva/E/lefand a thousandבְּשֶׁקֶלbe/SHE/kelby the shekel ofהַקֹּדֶשׁ׃hak/KO/deshthe sanctuary

    Of the firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:

51. 51

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־כֶּסֶףet-KE/sefthe money ofהַפְּדֻיִםhap/pe/du/YIMthe redeemedלְאַהֲרֹןle/A/ha/RONto Aaronוּלְבָנָיוu/le/va/NAYVand to his sonsעַל־פִּיal-piaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
