   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוְאֶל־אַהֲרֹןve/EL-a/ha/RONand to Aaronלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

   זֹאתzotthis isחֻקַּתchuk/KATthe statute ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawאֲשֶׁר־צִוָּהa/SHER-tsiv/VAwhich has commandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingדַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְיִקְחוּve/yik/CHUthat they bringאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khayouפָרָהfa/RAa heiferאֲדֻמָּהa/dum/MAredתְּמִימָהte/mi/MAwithout blemishאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֵין־בָּהּen-bathere is noמוּםmumblemishאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־עָלָהlo-a/LAnever cameעָלֶיהָa/LE/haupon itעֹל׃ola yoke

   This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

   וּנְתַתֶּםu/ne/tat/TEMand you shall giveאֹתָהּo/TAitאֶל־אֶלְעָזָרel-El/a/ZARto Eleazarהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְהוֹצִיאve/ho/TSIand he shall bring outאֹתָהּo/TAitאֶל־מִחוּץel-mi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campוְשָׁחַטve/sha/CHATand one shall slaughterאֹתָהּo/TAitלְפָנָיו׃le/fa/NAYVbefore him

   And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:

   וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand shall takeאֶלְעָזָרEl/a/ZAREleazarהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestמִדָּמָהּmid/da/MAof its bloodבְּאֶצְבָּעוֹbe/ets/ba/Owith his fingerוְהִזָּהve/hiz/ZAand sprinkleאֶל־נֹכַחel-NO/khachtowardפְּנֵיpe/NEthe front ofאֹהֶל־מוֹעֵדO/hel-mo/EDthe tent of meetingמִדָּמָהּmid/da/MAof its bloodשֶׁבַעSHE/vasevenפְּעָמִים׃pe/a/MIMtimes

   And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:

   וְשָׂרַףve/sa/RAFand one shall burnאֶת־הַפָּרָהet-hap/pa/RAthe heiferלְעֵינָיוle/e/NAYVin his sightאֶת־עֹרָהּet-o/RAits skinוְאֶת־בְּשָׂרָהּve/ET-be/sa/RAand its fleshוְאֶת־דָּמָהּve/ET-da/MAand its bloodעַל־פִּרְשָׁהּal-pir/SHAwith its dungיִשְׂרֹף׃yis/ROFshall he burn

   And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:

   וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand shall takeהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestעֵץetswoodאֶרֶזE/rezcedarוְאֵזוֹבve/e/ZOVand hyssopוּשְׁנִיu/she/NIand scarletתוֹלָעַתto/LA/atcrimsonוְהִשְׁלִיךְve/hish/LIKHand cast themאֶל־תּוֹךְel-tokhinto the midst ofשְׂרֵפַתse/re/FATthe burning ofהַפָּרָה׃hap/pa/RAthe heifer

   And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

   וְכִבֶּסve/khib/BESand he shall washבְּגָדָיוbe/ga/DAYVhis garmentsהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְרָחַץve/ra/CHATSand batheבְּשָׂרוֹbe/sa/ROhis fleshבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin waterוְאַחַרve/a/CHARand afterwardיָבֹאya/VOhe shall comeאֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶהel-ham/ma/cha/NEinto the campוְטָמֵאve/ta/MEand be uncleanהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestעַד־הָעָרֶב׃ad-ha/A/revuntil the evening

   Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.

8. 8

   וְהַשֹּׂרֵףve/has/so/REFand he who burnsאֹתָהּo/TAitיְכַבֵּסye/khab/BESshall washבְּגָדָיוbe/ga/DAYVhis garmentsבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin waterוְרָחַץve/ra/CHATSand batheבְּשָׂרוֹbe/sa/ROhis fleshבַּמָּיִםbam/MA/yimin waterוְטָמֵאve/ta/MEand be uncleanעַד־הָעָרֶב׃ad-ha/A/revuntil the evening

   And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.

   וְאָסַףve/a/SAFand shall gather upאִישׁisha manטָהוֹרta/HORcleanאֵת־אֵפֶרet-E/ferthe ashes ofהַפָּרָהhap/pa/RAthe heiferוְהִנִּיחַve/hin/NI/achand lay them upמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin a placeטָהוֹרta/HORcleanוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beלַעֲדַתla/a/DATfor the congregation ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelלְמִשְׁמֶרֶתle/mish/ME/retto be keptלְמֵיle/MEfor the water ofנִדָּהnid/DAimpurityחַטָּאתchat/TATa sin offeringהִוא׃hivit is

   And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.

    וְכִבֶּסve/khib/BESand he shall washהָאֹסֵףha/o/SEFhe who gathersאֶת־אֵפֶרet-E/ferthe ashes ofהַפָּרָהhap/pa/RAthe heiferאֶת־בְּגָדָיוet-be/ga/DAYVhis garmentsוְטָמֵאve/ta/MEand be uncleanעַד־הָעָרֶבad-ha/A/revuntil the eveningוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְלַגֵּרve/lag/GERand for the strangerהַגָּרhag/GARwho sojournsבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMamong themלְחֻקַּתle/chuk/KATfor a statuteעוֹלָם׃o/LAMfor ever

    And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.

    הַנֹּגֵעַhan/no/GE/ahe who touchesבְּמֵתbe/METthe deadלְכׇל־נֶפֶשׁle/KHOL-NE/feshany body ofאָדָםa/DAMmanוְטָמֵאve/ta/MEshall be uncleanשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

    He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.

    הוּאhuheיִתְחַטָּא־בוֹyit/chat/TA-voshall purify himself with itבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhיִטְהָרyit/HARhe shall be cleanוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-lobut if notיִתְחַטָּאyit/chat/TAhe purifies himselfבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhלֹאlonotיִטְהָר׃yit/HARwill he be clean

    He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

    כׇּל־הַנֹּגֵעַkol-han/no/GE/awhoever touchesבְּמֵתbe/METthe deadבְּנֶפֶשׁbe/NE/feshthe body ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMa manאֲשֶׁר־יָמוּתa/SHER-ya/MUTwho has diedוְלֹאve/LOand notיִתְחַטָּאyit/chat/TApurifies himselfאֶת־מִשְׁכַּןet-mish/KANthe tabernacle ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDטִמֵּאtim/MEdefilesוְנִכְרְתָהve/nikh/re/TAand shall be cut offהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshthe soulהַהִואha/HIVthatמִיִּשְׂרָאֵלmiy/Yis/ra/ELfrom Israelכִּיkibecauseמֵיmethe water ofנִדָּהnid/DAimpurityלֹא־זֹרַקlo-zo/RAKwas not sprinkledעָלָיוa/LAYVon himטָמֵאta/MEuncleanיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beעוֹדodstillטֻמְאָתוֹtum/a/TOhis uncleannessבוֹ׃vois upon him

    Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.

    זֹאתzotthis isהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawאָדָםa/DAMmanכִּי־יָמוּתki-ya/MUTwhen diesבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin a tentכׇּל־הַבָּאkol-hab/BAall who comeאֶל־הָאֹהֶלel-ha/O/helinto the tentוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all that isבָּאֹהֶלba/O/helin the tentיִטְמָאyit/MAshall be uncleanשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

    This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

15. 15

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand everyכְּלִיke/LIvesselפָתוּחַfa/TU/achopenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֵין־צָמִידen-tsa/MIDhas no coverפָּתִילpa/TILboundעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itטָמֵאta/MEuncleanהוּא׃huit is

    And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.

16. 16

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand whoeverאֲשֶׁר־יִגַּעa/SHER-yig/GAtouchesעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldבַּחֲלַל־חֶרֶבba/cha/LAL-CHE/revone slain by the swordאוֹoorבְמֵתve/METa dead bodyאוֹ־בְעֶצֶםo-ve/E/tsemor a bone ofאָדָםa/DAMa manאוֹoorבְקָבֶרve/KA/vera graveיִטְמָאyit/MAshall be uncleanשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

    And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

17. 17

    וְלָקְחוּve/la/ke/CHUand they shall takeלַטָּמֵאlat/ta/MEfor the uncleanמֵעֲפַרme/a/FARof the ashes ofשְׂרֵפַתse/re/FATthe burning ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringוְנָתַןve/na/TANand shall putעָלָיוa/LAYVon itמַיִםMA/yimwaterחַיִּיםchay/YIMrunningאֶל־כֶּלִי׃el-KE/liin a vessel

    And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:

18. 18

    וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand shall takeאֵזוֹבe/ZOVhyssopוְטָבַלve/ta/VALand dip itבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin the waterאִישׁisha manטָהוֹרta/HORcleanוְהִזָּהve/hiz/ZAand sprinkle itעַל־הָאֹהֶלal-ha/O/helon the tentוְעַל־כׇּל־הַכֵּלִיםve/AL-kol-hak/ke/LIMand on all the vesselsוְעַל־הַנְּפָשׁוֹתve/AL-han/ne/fa/SHOTand on the personsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיוּ־שָׁםha/YU-shamwere thereוְעַל־הַנֹּגֵעַve/AL-han/no/GE/aand on him who touchedבַּעֶצֶםba/E/tsemthe boneאוֹoorבֶחָלָלve/cha/LALthe slainאוֹoorבַמֵּתvam/METthe deadאוֹoorבַקָּבֶר׃vak/KA/verthe grave

    And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:

19. 19

    וְהִזָּהve/hiz/ZAand shall sprinkleהַטָּהֹרhat/ta/HORthe cleanעַל־הַטָּמֵאal-hat/ta/MEon the uncleanבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhוְחִטְּאוֹve/chit/te/Oand he shall purify himבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhוְכִבֶּסve/khib/BESand he shall washבְּגָדָיוbe/ga/DAYVhis garmentsוְרָחַץve/ra/CHATSand batheבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin waterוְטָהֵרve/ta/HERand be cleanבָּעָרֶב׃ba/A/revat evening

    And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.

20. 20

    וְאִישׁve/ISHbut the manאֲשֶׁר־יִטְמָאa/SHER-yit/MAwho is uncleanוְלֹאve/LOand does notיִתְחַטָּאyit/chat/TApurify himselfוְנִכְרְתָהve/nikh/re/TAand shall be cut offהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshthe soulהַהִואha/HIVthatמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהַקָּהָלhak/ka/HALthe assemblyכִּיkibecauseאֶת־מִקְדַּשׁet-mik/DASHthe sanctuary ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDטִמֵּאtim/MEhe has defiledמֵיmethe water ofנִדָּהnid/DAimpurityלֹא־זֹרַקlo-zo/RAKwas not sprinkledעָלָיוa/LAYVon himטָמֵאta/MEuncleanהוּא׃huhe is

    But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.

21. 21

    וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beלָהֶםla/HEMto themלְחֻקַּתle/chuk/KATfor a statuteעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everוּמַזֵּהu/maz/ZEand he who sprinklesמֵי־הַנִּדָּהme-han/nid/DAthe water of impurityיְכַבֵּסye/khab/BESshall washבְּגָדָיוbe/ga/DAYVhis garmentsוְהַנֹּגֵעַve/han/no/GE/aand he who touchesבְּמֵיbe/MEthe water ofהַנִּדָּהhan/nid/DAimpurityיִטְמָאyit/MAshall be uncleanעַד־הָעָרֶב׃ad-ha/A/revuntil the evening

    And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand whateverאֲשֶׁר־יִגַּע־בּוֹa/SHER-yig/GA-botouchesהַטָּמֵאhat/ta/MEthe uncleanיִטְמָאyit/MAshall be uncleanוְהַנֶּפֶשׁve/han/NE/feshand the personהַנֹּגַעַתhan/no/GA/atwho touches itתִּטְמָאtit/MAshe shall be uncleanעַד־הָעָרֶב׃ad-ha/A/revuntil the evening

    And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.
