   And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

   And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness.

   And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.

   וְנִלְווּve/nil/VUand they shall be joinedעָלֶיךָa/LE/khato youוְשָׁמְרוּve/sha/me/RUand they shall keepאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתet-mish/ME/retthe charge ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingלְכֹלle/KHOLfor allעֲבֹדַתa/vo/DATthe service ofהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentוְזָרve/ZARbut an outsiderלֹא־יִקְרַבlo-yik/RAVshall not come nearאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

   And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.

   And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלָקַחְתִּיla/KACH/tiI have takenאֶת־אֲחֵיכֶםet-a/che/KHEMyour brethrenהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youמַתָּנָהmat/ta/NAas a giftנְתֻנִיםne/tu/NIMgivenלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto serveאֶת־עֲבֹדַתet-a/vo/DATthe service ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

   And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youוּבָנֶיךָu/va/NE/khaand your sonsאִתְּךָit/te/KHAwith youתִּשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUshall keepאֶת־כְּהֻנַּתְכֶםet-ke/hun/nat/KHEMyour priesthoodלְכׇל־דְּבַרle/KHOL-de/VARfor everything ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarוּלְמִבֵּיתu/le/mib/BETand withinלַפָּרֹכֶתlap/pa/RO/khetthe veilוַעֲבַדְתֶּםva/a/vad/TEMand you shall serveעֲבֹדַתa/vo/DATa service ofמַתָּנָהmat/ta/NAgiftאֶתֵּןet/TENI giveאֶת־כְּהֻנַּתְכֶםet-ke/hun/nat/KHEMyour priesthoodוְהַזָּרve/haz/ZARand the outsiderהַקָּרֵבhak/ka/REVwho comes nearיוּמָת׃yu/MATshall be put to death

   Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for every thing of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־אַהֲרֹןel-A/ha/RONto Aaronוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלְךָle/KHAto youאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתet-mish/ME/retthe charge ofתְּרוּמֹתָיte/ru/mo/TAYmy heave offeringsלְכׇל־קׇדְשֵׁיle/KHOL-kod/SHEof all the holy things ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelלְךָle/KHAto youנְתַתִּיםne/tat/TIMI have given themלְמׇשְׁחָהle/mosh/CHAas a portionוּלְבָנֶיךָu/le/va/NE/khaand to your sonsלְחׇק־עוֹלָם׃le/CHOK-o/LAMby a statute for ever

   And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.

   זֶה־יִהְיֶהze-yih/YEthis shall beלְךָle/KHAfor youמִקֹּדֶשׁmik/KO/deshof the holy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMholiesמִן־הָאֵשׁmin-ha/ESHkept from the fireכׇּל־קׇרְבָּנָםkol-kor/ba/NAMevery offering of theirsלְכׇל־מִנְחָתָםle/KHOL-min/cha/TAMevery grain offering of theirsוּלְכׇל־חַטָּאתָםu/le/KHOL-chat/ta/TAMand every sin offering of theirsוּלְכׇל־אֲשָׁמָםu/le/KHOL-a/sha/MAMand every guilt offering of theirsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָשִׁיבוּya/SHI/vuthey renderלִיlito meקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholy ofקׇדָשִׁיםko/da/SHIMholiesלְךָle/KHAfor youהוּאhuit isוּלְבָנֶיךָ׃u/le/va/NE/khaand for your sons

   This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, every meat offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.

    בְּקֹדֶשׁbe/KO/deshin the holy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMholiesתֹּאכְלֶנּוּto/khe/LEN/nuyou shall eat itכׇּל־זָכָרkol-za/KHARevery maleיֹאכַלyo/KHALshall eatאֹתוֹo/TOitקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyיִהְיֶה־לָּךְ׃yih/YE-lakhit shall be to you

    In the most holy place shalt thou eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto thee.

11. 11

    וְזֶה־לְּךָve/ZE-le/KHAand this is yoursתְּרוּמַתte/ru/MATthe heave offering ofמַתָּנָםmat/ta/NAMtheir giftלְכׇל־תְּנוּפֹתle/KHOL-te/nu/FOTwith all the wave offerings ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְךָle/KHAto youנְתַתִּיםne/tat/TIMI have given themוּלְבָנֶיךָu/le/va/NE/khaand to your sonsוְלִבְנֹתֶיךָve/liv/no/TE/khaand to your daughtersאִתְּךָit/te/KHAwith youלְחׇק־עוֹלָםle/CHOK-o/LAMby a statute for everכׇּל־טָהוֹרkol-ta/HOReveryone who is cleanבְּבֵיתְךָbe/ve/te/KHAin your houseיֹאכַלyo/KHALshall eatאֹתוֹ׃o/TOit

    And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.

    כֹּלkolallחֵלֶבCHE/levthe best ofיִצְהָרyits/HARthe oilוְכׇל־חֵלֶבve/KHOL-CHE/levand all the best ofתִּירוֹשׁti/ROSHthe new wineוְדָגָןve/da/GANand grainרֵאשִׁיתָםre/shi/TAMtheir firstfruitsאֲשֶׁר־יִתְּנוּa/SHER-yit/te/NUwhich they giveלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDלְךָle/KHAto youנְתַתִּים׃ne/tat/TIMI have given them

    All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.

    בִּכּוּרֵיbik/ku/REthe first fruits ofכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERall that isבְּאַרְצָםbe/ar/TSAMin their landאֲשֶׁר־יָבִיאוּa/SHER-ya/VI/uwhich they bringלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDלְךָle/KHAyoursיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beכׇּל־טָהוֹרkol-ta/HOReveryone who is cleanבְּבֵיתְךָbe/ve/te/KHAin your houseיֹאכְלֶנּוּ׃yo/khe/LEN/nushall eat of it

    And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the LORD, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thine house shall eat of it.

14. 14

    כׇּל־חֵרֶםkol-CHE/remevery devoted thingבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELin Israelלְךָle/KHAyoursיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEshall be

    Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine.

15. 15

    כׇּל־פֶּטֶרkol-PE/tereverything that opensרֶחֶםRE/chemthe wombלְכׇל־בָּשָׂרle/KHOL-ba/SARof all fleshאֲשֶׁר־יַקְרִיבוּa/SHER-yak/RI/vuwhich they bringלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDבָּאָדָםba/a/DAMof manוּבַבְּהֵמָהu/vab/be/he/MAand of beastיִהְיֶה־לָּךְyih/YE-lakhshall be yoursאַךְakhneverthelessפָּדֹהpa/DOredeemתִפְדֶּהtif/DEyou shall redeemאֵת־בְּכוֹרet-be/KHORthe firstborn ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanוְאֵתve/ETandבְּכוֹר־הַבְּהֵמָהbe/KHOR-hab/be/he/MAthe firstborn of beastsהַטְּמֵאָהhat/te/me/Auncleanתִּפְדֶּה׃tif/DEyou shall redeem

    Every thing that openeth the matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.

16. 16

    וּפְדוּיָוu/fe/du/YAVand those to be redeemedמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁmib/BEN-CHO/deshfrom a month oldתִּפְדֶּהtif/DEyou shall redeemבְּעֶרְכְּךָbe/er/ke/KHAaccording to your valuationכֶּסֶףKE/sefsilverחֲמֵשֶׁתcha/ME/shetfiveשְׁקָלִיםshe/ka/LIMshekelsבְּשֶׁקֶלbe/SHE/kelby the shekel ofהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshthe sanctuaryעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyגֵּרָהge/RAgerahsהוּא׃huit is

    And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.

17. 17

    אַךְakhbutבְּכוֹר־שׁוֹרbe/KHOR-shorthe firstborn of an oxאוֹ־בְכוֹרo-ve/KHORor the firstborn ofכֶּשֶׂבKE/seva sheepאוֹ־בְכוֹרo-ve/KHORor the firstborn ofעֵזeza goatלֹאlonotתִפְדֶּהtif/DEshall you redeemקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyהֵםhemthey areאֶת־דָּמָםet-da/MAMtheir bloodתִּזְרֹקtiz/ROKyou shall sprinkleעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achon the altarוְאֶת־חֶלְבָּםve/ET-chel/BAMand their fatתַּקְטִירtak/TIRyou shall burnאִשֶּׁהish/SHEan offering by fireלְרֵיחַle/RE/achfor an aroma ofנִיחֹחַni/CHO/achsoothingלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.

18. 18

    וּבְשָׂרָםu/ve/sa/RAMand their fleshיִהְיֶה־לָּךְyih/YE-lakhshall be yoursכַּחֲזֵהka/cha/ZEas the breast ofהַתְּנוּפָהhat/te/nu/FAthe wave offeringוּכְשׁוֹקu/khe/SHOKand as the thigh ofהַיָּמִיןhay/ya/MINthe rightלְךָle/KHAyoursיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEshall be

    And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are thine.

19. 19

    כֹּלkolallתְּרוּמֹתte/ru/MOTthe heave offerings ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMthe holy thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָרִימוּya/RI/muoffer upבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלְךָle/KHAto youוּלְבָנֶיךָu/le/va/NE/khaand to your sonsוְלִבְנֹתֶיךָve/liv/no/TE/khaand to your daughtersאִתְּךָit/te/KHAwith youלְחׇק־עוֹלָםle/CHOK-o/LAMby a statute for everבְּרִיתbe/RITa covenant ofמֶלַחME/lachsaltעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everהִואhivit isלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְךָle/KHAto youוּלְזַרְעֲךָu/le/zar/a/KHAand to your offspringאִתָּךְ׃it/TAKHwith you

    All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־אַהֲרֹןel-A/ha/RONto Aaronבְּאַרְצָםbe/ar/TSAMin their landלֹאlonotתִנְחָלtin/CHALshall you have an inheritanceוְחֵלֶקve/CHE/lekand portionלֹא־יִהְיֶהlo-yih/YEshall not beלְךָle/KHAfor youבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMamong themאֲנִיa/NII amחֶלְקְךָchel/ke/KHAyour portionוְנַחֲלָתְךָve/na/cha/la/te/KHAand your inheritanceבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.

21. 21

    וְלִבְנֵיve/liv/NEand to the children ofלֵוִיLe/VILeviהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenכׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂרkol-ma/a/SERall the titheבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELin Israelלְנַחֲלָהle/na/cha/LAas an inheritanceחֵלֶףCHE/lefin return forעֲבֹדָתָםa/vo/da/TAMtheir serviceאֲשֶׁר־הֵםa/SHER-hemwhich theyעֹבְדִיםov/DIMserveאֶת־עֲבֹדַתet-a/vo/DATthe service ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

    And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

22. 22

    וְלֹא־יִקְרְבוּve/LO-yik/re/VUand shall not come nearעוֹדodany moreבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingלָשֵׂאתla/SETlest they bearחֵטְאchetsinלָמוּת׃la/MUTand die

    Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.

23. 23

    וְעָבַדve/a/VADbut shall doהַלֵּוִיhal/Le/VIthe Leviteהוּאhuhimselfאֶת־עֲבֹדַתet-a/vo/DATthe service ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְהֵםve/HEMand theyיִשְׂאוּyis/Ushall bearעֲוֺנָםa/vo/NAMtheir iniquityחֻקַּתchuk/KATa statuteעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםle/do/ro/te/KHEMfor your generationsוּבְתוֹךְu/ve/TOKHand amongבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֹאlonotיִנְחֲלוּyin/cha/LUshall they inheritנַחֲלָה׃na/cha/LAan inheritance

    But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.

24. 24

    But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

    וְאֶל־הַלְוִיִּםve/EL-hal/viy/YIMand to the Levitesתְּדַבֵּרte/dab/BERyou shall speakוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themכִּי־תִקְחוּki-tik/CHUwhen you takeמֵאֵתme/ETofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelאֶת־הַמַּעֲשֵׂרet-ham/ma/a/SERthe titheאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמֵאִתָּםme/it/TAMfrom themבְּנַחֲלַתְכֶםbe/na/cha/lat/KHEMas your inheritanceוַהֲרֵמֹתֶםva/ha/re/mo/TEMthen you shall offer upמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof itתְּרוּמַתte/ru/MATa heave offering ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמַעֲשֵׂרma/a/SERa tenthמִן־הַמַּעֲשֵׂר׃min-ham/ma/a/SERfrom the tithe

    Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.

    וְנֶחְשַׁבve/nech/SHAVand shall be reckonedלָכֶםla/KHEMto youתְּרוּמַתְכֶםte/ru/mat/KHEMyour offeringכַּדָּגָןkad/da/GANas the grainמִן־הַגֹּרֶןmin-hag/GO/renfrom the threshing floorוְכַמְלֵאָהve/kham/le/Aand as the fullnessמִן־הַיָּקֶב׃min-hay/YA/kevof the winepress

    And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress.

    כֵּןkensoתָּרִימוּta/RI/mushall offer upגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoתְּרוּמַתte/ru/MATa heave offering ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִכֹּלmik/KOLfrom allמַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶםma/se/ro/te/KHEMyour tithesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּקְחוּtik/CHUyou receiveמֵאֵתme/ETofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּנְתַתֶּםu/ne/tat/TEMand you shall giveמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof itאֶת־תְּרוּמַתet-te/ru/MATthe heave offering ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְאַהֲרֹןle/A/ha/RONto Aaronהַכֹּהֵן׃hak/ko/HENthe priest

    Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD's heave offering to Aaron the priest.

29. 29

    מִכֹּלmik/KOLout of allמַתְּנֹתֵיכֶםmat/te/no/te/KHEMyour giftsתָּרִימוּta/RI/muyou shall offer upאֵת־כׇּל־תְּרוּמַתet-kol-te/ru/MATevery heave offering ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִכׇּל־חֶלְבּוֹmik/KOL-chel/BOof all the best of itאֶת־מִקְדְּשׁוֹet-mik/de/SHOthe hallowed partמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/MEN/nuof it

    Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.

30. 30

    וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themבַּהֲרִימְכֶםba/ha/ri/me/KHEMwhen you have offered upאֶת־חֶלְבּוֹet-chel/BOthe best of itמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itוְנֶחְשַׁבve/nech/SHAVthen it shall be reckonedלַלְוִיִּםLal/viy/YIMto the Levitesכִּתְבוּאַתkit/vu/ATas the produce ofגֹּרֶןGO/renthe threshing floorוְכִתְבוּאַתve/khit/vu/ATand as the produce ofיָקֶב׃YA/kevthe winepress

    Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.

31. 31

    וַאֲכַלְתֶּםva/a/khal/TEMand you shall eatאֹתוֹo/TOitבְּכׇל־מָקוֹםbe/KHOL-ma/KOMin every placeאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוּבֵיתְכֶםu/ve/te/KHEMand your householdכִּי־שָׂכָרki-sa/KHARfor a rewardהוּאhuit isלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youחֵלֶףCHE/lefin return forעֲבֹדַתְכֶםa/vo/dat/KHEMyour serviceבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

    And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.

32. 32

    וְלֹא־תִשְׂאוּve/LO-tis/Uand you shall not bearעָלָיוa/LAYVby reason of itחֵטְאchetsinבַּהֲרִימְכֶםba/ha/ri/me/KHEMwhen you have offered upאֶת־חֶלְבּוֹet-chel/BOthe best of itמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itוְאֶת־קׇדְשֵׁיve/ET-kod/SHEand the holy things ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelלֹאlonotתְחַלְּלוּte/chal/le/LUyou shall profaneוְלֹאve/LOlestתָמוּתוּ׃ta/MU/tuyou die

    And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
