    וַיֹּאמֶרand saidיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־אַהֲרֹןto Aaronאַתָּהyouוּבָנֶיךָand your sonsוּבֵית־אָבִיךָand house of your fatherאִתָּךְwith youתִּשְׂאוּyou shall bearאֶת־עֲוֺןthe iniquity ofהַמִּקְדָּשׁthe sanctuaryוְאַתָּהand youוּבָנֶיךָand your sonsאִתָּךְwith youתִּשְׂאוּyou shall bearאֶת־עֲוֺןthe iniquity ofכְּהֻנַּתְכֶם׃your priesthood

    And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

    וְגַםand alsoאֶת־אַחֶיךָyour brothersמַטֵּהthe tribe ofלֵוִיLeviשֵׁבֶטthe tribe ofאָבִיךָyour fatherהַקְרֵבbring nearאִתָּךְwith youוְיִלָּווּso they may join themselvesעָלֶיךָupon youוִישָׁרְתוּךָso they may serve youוְאַתָּהand youוּבָנֶיךָand your sonsאִתָּךְwith youלִפְנֵיbeforeאֹהֶלthe tent ofהָעֵדֻת׃the testimony

    And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness.

    וְשָׁמְרוּand they will keepמִשְׁמַרְתְּךָyour chargeוּמִשְׁמֶרֶתand the duty ofכׇּל־הָאֹהֶלall the tentאַךְbutאֶל־כְּלֵיto vessels ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryוְאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַand the altarלֹאnotיִקְרָבוּthey will draw nearוְלֹא־יָמֻתוּand not they will dieגַם־הֵםthey alsoגַּם־אַתֶּם׃also you

    And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.

    וְנִלְווּand they will join themselvesעָלֶיךָupon youוְשָׁמְרוּand they will keepאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתthe charge ofאֹהֶלthe tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationלְכֹלfor allעֲבֹדַתthe service ofהָאֹהֶלthe tentוְזָרand an outsiderלֹא־יִקְרַבnot will draw nearאֲלֵיכֶם׃unto you

    And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.

    וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםand you shall keepאֵת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתthe charge ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryוְאֵתandמִשְׁמֶרֶתthe charge ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarוְלֹא־יִהְיֶהand shall have no moreעוֹדany moreקֶצֶףwrathעַל־בְּנֵיupon the sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Israel

    And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.

    וַאֲנִיand IהִנֵּהbeholdלָקַחְתִּיI have takenאֶת־אֲחֵיכֶםyour brethrenהַלְוִיִּםthe Levitesמִתּוֹךְfrom the midst ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלָכֶםto youמַתָּנָהgiftנְתֻנִיםare assignedלַיהֹוָהto the LORDלַעֲבֹדto serveאֶת־עֲבֹדַתthe service ofאֹהֶלthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃the congregation

    And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

    וְאַתָּהand youוּבָנֶיךָand your sonsאִתְּךָwith youתִּשְׁמְרוּyou keepאֶת־כְּהֻנַּתְכֶםyour priesthoodלְכׇל־דְּבַרfor-every-thing-ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarוּלְמִבֵּיתand withinלַפָּרֹכֶתto the veilוַעֲבַדְתֶּםand you will serveעֲבֹדַתthe service ofמַתָּנָהgiftאֶתֵּןI giveאֶת־כְּהֻנַּתְכֶםyour priesthoodוְהַזָּרand the outsiderהַקָּרֵבthe approachingיוּמָת׃he shall be put to death

    Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for every thing of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־אַהֲרֹןto Aaronוַאֲנִיand IהִנֵּהbeholdנָתַתִּיI gaveלְךָfor youאֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶתthe charge ofתְּרוּמֹתָיmy offeringsלְכׇל־קׇדְשֵׁיof all the holy things ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelלְךָfor youנְתַתִּיםI have given themלְמׇשְׁחָהfor an anointing portionוּלְבָנֶיךָand for your sonsלְחׇק־עוֹלָם׃for a perpetual statute

    And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.

    זֶה־יִהְיֶהthis he shall beלְךָfor youמִקֹּדֶשׁfrom the holy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםthe holy thingsמִן־הָאֵשׁfrom the fireכׇּל־קׇרְבָּנָםall their offeringלְכׇל־מִנְחָתָםto all their offeringוּלְכׇל־חַטָּאתָםand to all their sinוּלְכׇל־אֲשָׁמָםand to all their guilt offeringאֲשֶׁרwhichיָשִׁיבוּthey shall renderלִיto meקֹדֶשׁholyקׇדָשִׁיםof holiesלְךָfor youהוּאitוּלְבָנֶיךָ׃and for your sons

    This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, every meat offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.

    בְּקֹדֶשׁin the holy place ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםthe holy thingsתֹּאכְלֶנּוּyou will eat itכׇּל־זָכָרall maleיֹאכַלhe shall eatאֹתוֹitקֹדֶשׁholyיִהְיֶה־לָּךְ׃he shall be to you

    In the most holy place shalt thou eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto thee.

    וְזֶה־לְּךָand this is yoursתְּרוּמַתoffering ofמַתָּנָםtheir giftלְכׇל־תְּנוּפֹתto all the wave offerings ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלְךָfor youנְתַתִּיםI have given themוּלְבָנֶיךָand for your sonsוְלִבְנֹתֶיךָand to your daughtersאִתְּךָwith youלְחׇק־עוֹלָםfor a perpetual statuteכׇּל־טָהוֹרall pureבְּבֵיתְךָamong your householdיֹאכַלhe shall eatאֹתוֹ׃it

    And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.

    כֹּלallחֵלֶבthe fat ofיִצְהָרfresh oilוְכׇל־חֵלֶבand all the fat ofתִּירוֹשׁthe new wineוְדָגָןand grainרֵאשִׁיתָםtheir first fruitאֲשֶׁר־יִתְּנוּwhich they giveלַיהֹוָהto the LORDלְךָfor youנְתַתִּים׃I have given them

    All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.

    בִּכּוּרֵיthe first fruits ofכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרall thatבְּאַרְצָםin their landאֲשֶׁר־יָבִיאוּwhich they shall bringלַיהֹוָהto the LORDלְךָfor youיִהְיֶהshall beכׇּל־טָהוֹרall pureבְּבֵיתְךָamong your householdיֹאכְלֶנּוּ׃he will eat it

    And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the LORD, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thine house shall eat of it.

  14. 14

    כׇּל־חֵרֶםevery devoted thingבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלְךָfor youיִהְיֶה׃shall be

    Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine.

  15. 15

    כׇּל־פֶּטֶרall that opensרֶחֶםwombלְכׇל־בָּשָׂרto all the fleshאֲשֶׁר־יַקְרִיבוּwhich they offerלַיהֹוָהto the LORDבָּאָדָםin manוּבַבְּהֵמָהand over the livestockיִהְיֶה־לָּךְhe shall be to youאַךְbutפָּדֹהsurelyתִפְדֶּהyou will redeem itאֵת־בְּכוֹרthe firstborn ofהָאָדָםthe manוְאֵתandבְּכוֹר־הַבְּהֵמָהthe firstborn of the livestockהַטְּמֵאָהthe uncleanתִּפְדֶּה׃you will redeem

    Every thing that openeth the matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.

    וּפְדוּיָוand its redemption priceמִבֶּן־חֹדֶשׁfrom a son of a month ofתִּפְדֶּהyou will redeemבְּעֶרְכְּךָby your valuationכֶּסֶףsilverחֲמֵשֶׁתfiveשְׁקָלִיםshekelsבְּשֶׁקֶלby the shekel ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyגֵּרָהgerahsהוּא׃it

    And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.

    אַךְbutבְּכוֹר־שׁוֹרthe firstborn of oxenאוֹ־בְכוֹרor the firstborn ofכֶּשֶׂבa lambאוֹ־בְכוֹרor the firstborn ofעֵזa goatלֹאnotתִפְדֶּהyou will redeem itקֹדֶשׁholyהֵםtheyאֶת־דָּמָםtheir bloodתִּזְרֹקyou will sprinkleעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַupon the altarוְאֶת־חֶלְבָּםand their fatתַּקְטִירyou will burnאִשֶּׁהa fire offeringלְרֵיחַto an aroma ofנִיחֹחַsoothingלַיהֹוָה׃to the LORD

    But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.

  18. 18

    וּבְשָׂרָםand their fleshיִהְיֶה־לָּךְhe shall be to youכַּחֲזֵהlike the breast ofהַתְּנוּפָהthe wave offeringוּכְשׁוֹקand like the thigh ofהַיָּמִיןthe rightלְךָfor youיִהְיֶה׃shall be

    And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are thine.

    כֹּלallתְּרוּמֹתthe offerings ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםthe holy thingsאֲשֶׁרwhichיָרִימוּshall lift upבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelלַיהֹוָהto the LORDנָתַתִּיI gaveלְךָfor youוּלְבָנֶיךָand for your sonsוְלִבְנֹתֶיךָand to your daughtersאִתְּךָwith youלְחׇק־עוֹלָםfor a perpetual statuteבְּרִיתcovenant ofמֶלַחsaltעוֹלָםeternalהִואit isלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDלְךָfor youוּלְזַרְעֲךָand to your offspringאִתָּךְ׃with you

    All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.

  20. 20

    וַיֹּאמֶרand saidיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־אַהֲרֹןto Aaronבְּאַרְצָםin their landלֹאnotתִנְחָלyou will have an inheritanceוְחֵלֶקand a part ofלֹא־יִהְיֶהthere shall not beלְךָfor youבְּתוֹכָםamong themאֲנִיIחֶלְקְךָyour shareוְנַחֲלָתְךָand your inheritanceבְּתוֹךְamongבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Israel

    And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.

  21. 21

    וְלִבְנֵיand to the sons ofלֵוִיLeviהִנֵּהbeholdנָתַתִּיI gaveכׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂרall titheבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלְנַחֲלָהfor inheritanceחֵלֶףin return forעֲבֹדָתָםtheir serviceאֲשֶׁר־הֵםwhich theyעֹבְדִיםare servingאֶת־עֲבֹדַתthe service ofאֹהֶלthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃the congregation

    And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

  22. 22

    וְלֹא־יִקְרְבוּand not they will draw nearעוֹדany moreבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאֶל־אֹהֶלto the tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationלָשֵׂאתto bearחֵטְאsinלָמוּת׃to die

    Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.

  23. 23

    וְעָבַדand he will serveהַלֵּוִיthe Leviteהוּאheאֶת־עֲבֹדַתthe service ofאֹהֶלthe tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationוְהֵםand theyיִשְׂאוּshall lift upעֲוֺנָםtheir iniquityחֻקַּתa statute ofעוֹלָםeternalלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםfor your generationsוּבְתוֹךְand withinבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלֹאnotיִנְחֲלוּthey will inheritנַחֲלָה׃inheritance

    But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.

  24. 24

    כִּיbecauseאֶת־מַעְשַׂרthe tithe ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelאֲשֶׁרwhichיָרִימוּshall lift upלַיהֹוָהto the LORDתְּרוּמָהan offeringנָתַתִּיI gaveלַלְוִיִּםto the Levitesלְנַחֲלָהfor inheritanceעַל־כֵּןthereforeאָמַרְתִּיI saidלָהֶםto themבְּתוֹךְamongבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלֹאnotיִנְחֲלוּthey will inheritנַחֲלָה׃inheritance

    But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

  26. 26

    וְאֶל־הַלְוִיִּםand the Levitesתְּדַבֵּרyou shall speakוְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵהֶםunto themכִּי־תִקְחוּwhen you should takeמֵאֵתfromבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelאֶת־הַמַּעֲשֵׂרthe titheאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתִּיI gaveלָכֶםto youמֵאִתָּםof themבְּנַחֲלַתְכֶםyour inheritanceוַהֲרֵמֹתֶםand you will offer upמִמֶּנּוּfrom himתְּרוּמַתoffering ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDמַעֲשֵׂרtitheמִן־הַמַּעֲשֵׂר׃from the tithe

    Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.

  27. 27

    וְנֶחְשַׁבand it will be reckonedלָכֶםto youתְּרוּמַתְכֶםyour offeringכַּדָּגָןlike the grainמִן־הַגֹּרֶןfrom the threshing floorוְכַמְלֵאָהand like the full produceמִן־הַיָּקֶב׃from the wine press

    And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress.

  28. 28

    כֵּןthusתָּרִימוּyou shall raiseגַם־אַתֶּםalso youתְּרוּמַתoffering ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDמִכֹּלof allמַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶםyour tithesאֲשֶׁרwhichתִּקְחוּyou will takeמֵאֵתfromבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelוּנְתַתֶּםand you will giveמִמֶּנּוּfrom himאֶת־תְּרוּמַתoffering ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDלְאַהֲרֹןto Aaronהַכֹּהֵן׃the priest

    Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD's heave offering to Aaron the priest.

    מִכֹּלof allמַתְּנֹתֵיכֶםyour giftsתָּרִימוּyou shall raiseאֵת־כׇּל־תְּרוּמַתall offering ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDמִכׇּל־חֶלְבּוֹfrom all its fatאֶת־מִקְדְּשׁוֹits sacred partמִמֶּנּוּ׃from him

    Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.

  30. 30

    וְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵהֶםunto themבַּהֲרִימְכֶםwhen you offer upאֶת־חֶלְבּוֹits fatמִמֶּנּוּfrom himוְנֶחְשַׁבand it will be reckonedלַלְוִיִּםto the Levitesכִּתְבוּאַתlike the produce ofגֹּרֶןthe threshing floor ofוְכִתְבוּאַתand like the produce ofיָקֶב׃a wine press

    Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.

  31. 31

    וַאֲכַלְתֶּםand you shall eatאֹתוֹitבְּכׇל־מָקוֹםin all placeאַתֶּםyou areוּבֵיתְכֶםand your householdכִּי־שָׂכָרbecause rewardהוּאitלָכֶםto youחֵלֶףin return forעֲבֹדַתְכֶםyour serviceבְּאֹהֶלin the tent ofמוֹעֵד׃the congregation

    And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.

  32. 32

    וְלֹא־תִשְׂאוּand not you will bearעָלָיוupon himחֵטְאsinבַּהֲרִימְכֶםwhen you offer upאֶת־חֶלְבּוֹits fatמִמֶּנּוּfrom himוְאֶת־קׇדְשֵׁיand the holy things ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelלֹאnotתְחַלְּלוּyou will profaneוְלֹאand notתָמוּתוּ׃will you die

    And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
