   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

   אֱמֹרe/MORsayאֶל־אֶלְעָזָרel-El/a/ZARto Eleazarבֶּן־אַהֲרֹןben-A/ha/RONson of Aaronהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestוְיָרֵםve/ya/REMthat he take upאֶת־הַמַּחְתֹּתet-ham/mach/TOTthe firepansמִבֵּיןmib/BENout ofהַשְּׂרֵפָהhas/se/re/FAthe burningוְאֶת־הָאֵשׁve/ET-ha/ESHand the fireזְרֵה־הָלְאָהze/RE-HAL/ascatter far offכִּיkiforקָדֵשׁוּ׃ka/DE/shuthey are holy

   Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.

   אֵת־מַחְתּוֹתet-mach/TOTthe firepans ofהַחַטָּאִיםha/chat/ta/IMsinnersהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבְּנַפְשֹׁתָםbe/naf/sho/TAMagainst their own livesוְעָשׂוּve/a/SUand let them makeאֹתָםo/TAMthemרִקֻּעֵיrik/ku/Ebeatenפַחִיםfa/CHIMplatesצִפּוּיtsip/PUYa coveringלַמִּזְבֵּחַlam/miz/BE/achfor the altarכִּי־הִקְרִיבֻםki-hik/ri/VUMfor they offered themלִפְנֵי־יְהֹוָהlif/NE-Adonaibefore the LORDוַיִּקְדָּשׁוּvay/yik/DA/shutherefore they are holyוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand they shall beלְאוֹתle/OTa signלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

   וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookאֶלְעָזָרEl/a/ZAREleazarהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֵת־מַחְתּוֹתet-mach/TOTthe firepans ofהַנְּחֹשֶׁתhan/ne/CHO/shetbronzeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִקְרִיבוּhik/RI/vuhad offeredהַשְּׂרֻפִיםhas/se/ru/FIMthose who were burnedוַיְרַקְּעוּםvay/rak/ke/UMand they hammered them outצִפּוּיtsip/PUYas a coveringלַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃lam/miz/BE/achfor the altar

   And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:

   זִכָּרוֹןzik/ka/RONa memorialלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְמַעַןle/MA/ansoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יִקְרַבlo-yik/RAVno shall come nearאִישׁishmanזָרzaroutsiderאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlois notמִזֶּרַעmiz/ZE/raof the seed ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהוּאhuheלְהַקְטִירle/hak/TIRto burnקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincenseלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְלֹא־יִהְיֶהve/LO-yih/YEthat he be notכְקֹרַחkhe/KO/rachlike Korahוְכַעֲדָתוֹve/kha/a/da/TOand as his companyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּיַד־מֹשֶׁהbe/YAD-mo/SHEby the hand of Mosesלוֹ׃loto him

   To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.

   וַיִּלֹּנוּvay/yil/LO/nuand they murmuredכׇּל־עֲדַתkol-a/DATall the congregation ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelמִמׇּחֳרָתmim/mo/cho/RATon the next dayעַל־מֹשֶׁהal-Mo/SHEagainst Mosesוְעַל־אַהֲרֹןve/AL-a/ha/RONand against Aaronלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאַתֶּםat/TEMyouהֲמִתֶּםha/mit/TEMhave killedאֶת־עַםet-amthe people ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּהִקָּהֵלbe/hik/ka/HELwhen was gatheredהָעֵדָהha/e/DAthe congregationעַל־מֹשֶׁהal-Mo/SHEagainst Mosesוְעַל־אַהֲרֹןve/AL-a/ha/RONand against Aaronוַיִּפְנוּvay/yif/NUthat they lookedאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכִסָּהוּkhis/SA/hucovered itהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudוַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand appearedכְּבוֹדke/VODthe glory ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronאֶל־פְּנֵיel-pe/NEbeforeאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

   And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

10. 10

    הֵרֹמּוּhe/ROM/muget awayמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהָעֵדָהha/e/DAthe congregationהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוַאֲכַלֶּהva/a/khal/LEthat I may consumeאֹתָםo/TAMthemכְּרָגַעke/RA/gain a momentוַיִּפְּלוּvay/yip/pe/LUand they fellעַל־פְּנֵיהֶם׃al-pe/ne/HEMupon their faces

    Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־אַהֲרֹןel-A/ha/RONto Aaronקַחkachtakeאֶת־הַמַּחְתָּהet-ham/mach/TAthe firepanוְתֶן־עָלֶיהָve/TEN-a/LE/haand put in itאֵשׁeshfireמֵעַלme/ALfrom offהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarוְשִׂיםve/SIMand lay onקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincenseוְהוֹלֵךְve/ho/LEKHand carry itמְהֵרָהme/he/RAquicklyאֶל־הָעֵדָהel-ha/e/DAto the congregationוְכַפֵּרve/khap/PERand make atonementעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMfor themכִּי־יָצָאki-ya/TSAfor has gone outהַקֶּצֶףhak/KE/tsefthe wrathמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom beforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהֵחֵלhe/CHELhas begunהַנָּגֶף׃han/NA/gefthe plague

    And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand took itאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERhad spokenמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוַיָּרׇץvay/YA/rotsand ranאֶל־תּוֹךְel-tokhinto the midst ofהַקָּהָלhak/ka/HALthe assemblyוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהֵחֵלhe/CHELhad begunהַנֶּגֶףhan/NE/gefthe plagueבָּעָםba/AMamong the peopleוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand he put onאֶת־הַקְּטֹרֶתet-hak/ke/TO/retthe incenseוַיְכַפֵּרvay/khap/PERand he made atonementעַל־הָעָם׃al-ha/AMfor the people

    And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

    וַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodבֵּין־הַמֵּתִיםben-ham/me/TIMbetween the deadוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMthe livingוַתֵּעָצַרvat/te/a/TSARand was stayedהַמַּגֵּפָה׃ham/mag/ge/FAthe plague

    And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

14. 14

    וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand wereהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthe deadבַּמַּגֵּפָהbam/mag/ge/FAby the plagueאַרְבָּעָה־עָשָׂרar/ba/A-a/SARfourteenאֶלֶףE/lefthousandוּשְׁבַעu/she/VAand sevenמֵאוֹתme/OThundredמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADbesidesהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthe deadעַל־דְּבַר־קֹרַח׃al-De/VAR-KO/rachin the matter of Korah

    Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand returnedאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesאֶל־פֶּתַחel-PE/tachto the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְהַמַּגֵּפָהve/ham/mag/ge/FAand the plagueנֶעֱצָרָה׃ne/e/TSA/rawas stayed

    And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.

16. 16

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

    דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְקַחve/KACHand takeמֵאִתָּםme/it/TAMof themמַטֶּהmat/TEa staffמַטֶּהmat/TEa staffלְבֵיתle/VETfor the house ofאָבava fatherמֵאֵתme/ETofכׇּל־נְשִׂיאֵהֶםkol-ne/si/e/HEMall their leadersלְבֵיתle/VETaccording to the house ofאֲבֹתָםa/vo/TAMtheir fathersשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveמַטּוֹתmat/TOTstaffsאִישׁishevery manאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameתִּכְתֹּבtikh/TOVyou shall writeעַל־מַטֵּהוּ׃al-mat/TE/huupon his staff

    Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.

18. 18

    וְאֵתve/ETandשֵׁםshemthe name ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronתִּכְתֹּבtikh/TOVyou shall writeעַל־מַטֵּהal-mat/TEupon the staff ofלֵוִיLe/VILeviכִּיkiforמַטֶּהmat/TEa staffאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְרֹאשׁle/ROSHfor the head ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofאֲבוֹתָם׃a/vo/TAMtheir fathers

    And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

19. 19

    וְהִנַּחְתָּםve/hin/nach/TAMand you shall lay them upבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעֵדוּתha/e/DUTthe testimonyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereאִוָּעֵדiv/va/EDI meetלָכֶםla/KHEMwith youשָׁמָּה׃SHAM/mathere

    And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

20. 20

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֶבְחַר־בּוֹev/CHAR-boI chooseמַטֵּהוּmat/TE/huhis staffיִפְרָחyif/RACHshall budוַהֲשִׁכֹּתִיva/ha/shik/ko/TIand I will make ceaseמֵעָלַיme/a/LAYfrom upon meאֶת־תְּלֻנּוֹתet-te/lun/NOTthe murmurings ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֵםhemtheyמַלִּינִםmal/li/NIMmurmurעֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMagainst you

    And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

21. 21

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיִּתְּנוּvay/yit/te/NUand gaveאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himכׇּל־נְשִׂיאֵיהֶםkol-ne/si/e/HEMall their leadersמַטֶּהmat/TEa staffלְנָשִׂיאle/na/SIfor a leaderאֶחָדe/CHADoneמַטֶּהmat/TEa staffלְנָשִׂיאle/na/SIfor a leaderאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְבֵיתle/VETaccording to the house ofאֲבֹתָםa/vo/TAMtheir fathersשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveמַטּוֹתmat/TOTstaffsוּמַטֵּהu/mat/TEand the staff ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHwas amongמַטּוֹתָם׃mat/to/TAMtheir staffs

    And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

22. 22

    וַיַּנַּחvay/yan/NACHand laid upמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־הַמַּטֹּתet-ham/mat/TOTthe staffsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofהָעֵדֻת׃ha/e/DUTthe testimony

    And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִמׇּחֳרָתmim/mo/cho/RATon the next dayוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOthat wentמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helto the tent ofהָעֵדוּתha/e/DUTthe testimonyוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdפָּרַחpa/RACHhad buddedמַטֵּה־אַהֲרֹןmat/TE-A/ha/RONthe staff of Aaronלְבֵיתle/VETfor the house ofלֵוִיLe/VILeviוַיֹּצֵאvay/yo/TSEand brought forthפֶרַחFE/rachbudsוַיָּצֵץvay/YA/tsetsand bloomedצִיץtsitsblossomsוַיִּגְמֹלvay/yig/MOLand yielded ripeשְׁקֵדִים׃she/ke/DIMalmonds

    And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

24. 24

    וַיֹּצֵאvay/yo/TSEand brought outמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־כׇּל־הַמַּטֹּתet-kol-ham/mat/TOTall the staffsמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom the presence ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־כׇּל־בְּנֵיel-kol-be/NEto all the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand they lookedוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookאִישׁishevery manמַטֵּהוּ׃mat/TE/huhis staff

    And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

25. 25

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesהָשֵׁבha/SHEVbring backאֶת־מַטֵּהet-mat/TEthe staff ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעֵדוּתha/e/DUTthe testimonyלְמִשְׁמֶרֶתle/mish/ME/retto be keptלְאוֹתle/OTfor a signלִבְנֵי־מֶרִיliv/NE-ME/rito the sons of rebellionוּתְכַלu/te/KHALthat you may endתְּלוּנֹּתָםte/lun/no/TAMtheir murmuringsמֵעָלַיme/a/LAYfrom meוְלֹאve/LOthat notיָמֻתוּ׃ya/MU/tuthey die

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

26. 26

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֹתוֹo/TOhimכֵּןkensoעָשָׂה׃a/SAhe did

    And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

27. 27

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהֵןhenbeholdגָּוַעְנוּga/VA/nuwe dieאָבַדְנוּa/VAD/nuwe perishכֻּלָּנוּkul/LA/nuwe allאָבָדְנוּ׃a/VAD/nuperish

    And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

28. 28

    כֹּלkoleveryoneהַקָּרֵבhak/ka/REVwho comes nearהַקָּרֵבhak/ka/REVwho comes nearאֶל־מִשְׁכַּןel-mish/KANto the tabernacle ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieהַאִםha/IMwillתַּמְנוּTAM/nuwe be consumedלִגְוֺעַ׃lig/VO/ain dying

    Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
