   Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:

   וַיָּקֻמוּvay/ya/KU/muand they rose upלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוַאֲנָשִׁיםva/a/na/SHIMand menמִבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלmib/Be/NE-yis/ra/ELof the children of Israelחֲמִשִּׁיםcha/mish/SHIMfiftyוּמָאתָיִםu/ma/TA/yimand two hundredנְשִׂיאֵיne/si/Eleaders ofעֵדָהe/DAthe congregationקְרִאֵיke/ri/Ecalled toמוֹעֵדmo/EDthe assemblyאַנְשֵׁי־שֵׁם׃an/SHE-shemmen of renown

   And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

   וַיִּקָּהֲלוּvay/yik/ka/ha/LUand they gathered togetherעַל־מֹשֶׁהal-Mo/SHEagainst Mosesוְעַל־אַהֲרֹןve/AL-a/ha/RONand against Aaronוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themרַב־לָכֶםrav-la/KHEMyou take too muchכִּיkiforכׇל־הָעֵדָהkhol-ha/e/DAall the congregationכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of themקְדֹשִׁיםke/do/SHIMholyוּבְתוֹכָםu/ve/to/KHAMand among them isיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּמַדּוּעַu/mad/DU/aand whyתִּתְנַשְּׂאוּtit/nas/se/Udo you exalt yourselvesעַל־קְהַלal-ke/HALabove the assembly ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

   And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֶל־קֹרַחel-KO/rachto Korahוְאֶל־כׇּל־עֲדָתוֹve/EL-kol-a/da/TOand to all his companyלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבֹּקֶרBO/kerin the morningוְיֹדַעve/yo/DAwill showיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹet-a/SHER-lowho is Hisוְאֶת־הַקָּדוֹשׁve/ET-hak/ka/DOSHand who is holyוְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVand will bring nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto Himוְאֵתve/ETevenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERhim whomיִבְחַר־בּוֹyiv/CHAR-boHe choosesיַקְרִיבyak/RIVwill He bring nearאֵלָיו׃e/LAYVto Him

   And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

   זֹאתzotthisעֲשׂוּa/SUdoקְחוּ־לָכֶםke/CHU-la/KHEMtake for yourselvesמַחְתּוֹתmach/TOTfirepansקֹרַחKO/rachKorahוְכׇל־עֲדָתוֹ׃ve/KHOL-a/da/TOand all his company

   This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;

   וּתְנוּu/te/NUand putבָהֵןva/HENin themאֵשׁeshfireוְשִׂימוּve/SI/muand putעֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENin themקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincenseלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמָחָרma/CHARtomorrowוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַרa/SHER-yiv/CHARwhom choosesיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהוּאhuhe shall beהַקָּדוֹשׁhak/ka/DOSHholyרַב־לָכֶםrav-la/KHEMyou take too muchבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofלֵוִי׃Le/VILevi

   And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־קֹרַחel-KO/rachto Korahשִׁמְעוּ־נָאshim/U-nahear nowבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofלֵוִי׃Le/VILevi

   And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:

   הַמְעַטham/ATis it a small thingמִכֶּםmik/KEMfor youכִּי־הִבְדִּילki-hiv/DILthat has separatedאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֵעֲדַתme/a/DATfrom the congregation ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְהַקְרִיבle/hak/RIVto bring nearאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouאֵלָיוe/LAYVto Himselfלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto serveאֶת־עֲבֹדַתet-a/vo/DATthe service ofמִשְׁכַּןmish/KANthe tabernacle ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְלַעֲמֹדve/la/a/MODand to standלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעֵדָהha/e/DAthe congregationלְשָׁרְתָם׃le/sha/re/TAMto minister to them

   Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

    וַיַּקְרֵבvay/yak/REVand He has brought nearאֹתְךָot/KHAyouוְאֶת־כׇּל־אַחֶיךָve/ET-kol-a/CHE/khaand all your brothersבְנֵי־לֵוִיve/NE-le/VIthe sons of Leviאִתָּךְit/TAKHwith youוּבִקַּשְׁתֶּםu/vik/kash/TEMand would you seekגַּם־כְּהֻנָּה׃gam-ke/hun/NAthe priesthood also

    And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאַתָּהat/TAyouוְכׇל־עֲדָתְךָve/KHOL-a/da/te/KHAand all your companyהַנֹּעָדִיםhan/no/a/DIMare gathered togetherעַל־יְהֹוָהal-Adonaiagainst the LORDוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronמַה־הוּאma-huwhat is heכִּיkithat(תלונו)talavanav[תַלִּינוּ]tal/LI/nuyou murmurעָלָיו׃a/LAYVagainst him

    For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?

    וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלִקְרֹאlik/ROto callלְדָתָןLe/da/TANDathanוְלַאֲבִירָםve/La/a/vi/RAMand Abiramבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאֱלִיאָבE/li/AVEliabוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidלֹאlonotנַעֲלֶה׃na/a/LEwe will come up

    And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:

    הַמְעַטham/ATis it a small thingכִּיkithatהֶעֱלִיתָנוּhe/e/li/TA/nuyou have brought us upמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of a landזָבַתza/VATflowing withחָלָבcha/LAVmilkוּדְבַשׁu/de/VASHand honeyלַהֲמִיתֵנוּla/ha/mi/TE/nuto kill usבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessכִּי־תִשְׂתָּרֵרki-tis/ta/RERthat you lord itעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuover usגַּם־הִשְׂתָּרֵר׃gam-his/ta/RERalso lord it

    Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?

    אַףafmoreoverלֹאlonotאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsinto a landזָבַתza/VATflowing withחָלָבcha/LAVmilkוּדְבַשׁu/de/VASHand honeyהֲבִיאֹתָנוּha/vi/o/TA/nuhave you brought usוַתִּתֶּן־לָנוּvat/TIT/ten-LA/nuor given usנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofשָׂדֶהsa/DEfieldsוָכָרֶםva/KHA/remand vineyardsהַעֵינֵיha/e/NEthe eyes ofהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהָהֵםha/HEMthoseתְּנַקֵּרte/nak/KERwill you put outלֹאlonotנַעֲלֶה׃na/a/LEwe will come up

    Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.

    וַיִּחַרvay/YI/charand was angryלְמֹשֶׁהLe/mo/SHEMosesמְאֹדme/ODveryוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDאַל־תֵּפֶןal-TE/fendo not turnאֶל־מִנְחָתָםel-min/cha/TAMto their offeringלֹאlonotחֲמוֹרcha/MORa donkeyאֶחָדe/CHADoneמֵהֶםme/HEMof themנָשָׂאתִיna/SA/tihave I takenוְלֹאve/LOand notהֲרֵעֹתִיha/re/O/tihave I hurtאֶת־אַחַדet-a/CHADoneמֵהֶם׃me/HEMof them

    And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־קֹרַחel-KO/rachto Korahאַתָּהat/TAyouוְכׇל־עֲדָתְךָve/KHOL-a/da/te/KHAand all your companyהֱיוּhe/YUbeלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאַתָּהat/TAyouוָהֵםva/HEMand theyוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronמָחָר׃ma/CHARtomorrow

    And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:

17. 17

    וּקְחוּu/ke/CHUand takeאִישׁisheachמַחְתָּתוֹmach/ta/TOhis firepanוּנְתַתֶּםu/ne/tat/TEMand putעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMin themקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincenseוְהִקְרַבְתֶּםve/hik/rav/TEMand bringלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאִישׁisheachמַחְתָּתוֹmach/ta/TOhis firepanחֲמִשִּׁיםcha/mish/SHIMfiftyוּמָאתַיִםu/ma/TA/yimand two hundredמַחְתֹּתmach/TOTfirepansוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronאִישׁisheachמַחְתָּתוֹ׃mach/ta/TOhis firepan

    And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.

    וַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookאִישׁisheachמַחְתָּתוֹmach/ta/TOhis firepanוַיִּתְּנוּvay/yit/te/NUand putעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMin themאֵשׁeshfireוַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/muand laidעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMon themקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincenseוַיַּעַמְדוּvay/ya/am/DUand stoodפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוּמֹשֶׁהu/Mo/SHEand Mosesוְאַהֲרֹן׃ve/A/ha/RONand Aaron

    And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

19. 19

    וַיַּקְהֵלvay/yak/HELand gatheredעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMagainst themקֹרַחKO/rachKorahאֶת־כׇּל־הָעֵדָהet-kol-ha/e/DAall the congregationאֶל־פֶּתַחel-PE/tachto the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand appearedכְבוֹד־יְהֹוָהkhe/VOD-Adonaithe glory of the LORDאֶל־כׇּל־הָעֵדָה׃el-kol-ha/e/DAto all the congregation

    And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.

20. 20

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוְאֶל־אַהֲרֹןve/EL-a/ha/RONand to Aaronלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

21. 21

    הִבָּדְלוּhib/ba/de/LUseparate yourselvesמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהָעֵדָהha/e/DAthe congregationהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוַאֲכַלֶּהva/a/khal/LEthat I may consumeאֹתָםo/TAMthemכְּרָגַע׃ke/RA/gain a moment

    Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

22. 22

    וַיִּפְּלוּvay/yip/pe/LUand they fellעַל־פְּנֵיהֶםal-pe/ne/HEMupon their facesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand saidאֵלelO Godאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהָרוּחֹתha/ru/CHOTof the spiritsלְכׇל־בָּשָׂרle/KHOL-ba/SARof all fleshהָאִישׁha/ISHshall the manאֶחָדe/CHADoneיֶחֱטָאye/che/TAsinוְעַלve/ALand withכׇּל־הָעֵדָהkol-ha/e/DAall the congregationתִּקְצֹף׃tik/TSOFwill you be wrathful

    And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

23. 23

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

24. 24

    דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־הָעֵדָהel-ha/e/DAto the congregationלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהֵעָלוּhe/a/LUget awayמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVfrom aboutלְמִשְׁכַּן־קֹרַחle/Mish/KAN-KO/rachthe dwelling of KorahדָּתָןDa/TANDathanוַאֲבִירָם׃va/A/vi/RAMand Abiram

    Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

    וַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand roseמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentאֶל־דָּתָןel-Da/TANto Dathanוַאֲבִירָםva/A/vi/RAMand Abiramוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

26. 26

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֶל־הָעֵדָהel-ha/e/DAto the congregationלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingסוּרוּSU/rudepartנָאnaI prayמֵעַלme/ALfromאׇהֳלֵיo/ho/LEthe tents ofהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְאַל־תִּגְּעוּve/AL-tig/ge/Uand do not touchבְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁרbe/KHOL-a/SHERanything thatלָהֶםla/HEMis theirsפֶּן־תִּסָּפוּpen-tis/sa/FUlest you should be swept awayבְּכׇל־חַטֹּאתָם׃be/KHOL-chat/to/TAMin all their sins

    And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

    וַיֵּעָלוּvay/ye/a/LUso they got awayמֵעַלme/ALfromמִשְׁכַּן־קֹרַחmiSh/KAN-KO/rachthe dwelling of KorahדָּתָןDa/TANDathanוַאֲבִירָםva/A/vi/RAMand Abiramמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVon every sideוְדָתָןve/Da/TANand Dathanוַאֲבִירָםva/A/vi/RAMand Abiramיָצְאוּya/tse/Ucame outנִצָּבִיםnits/tsa/VIMand stoodפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofאׇהֳלֵיהֶםo/ho/le/HEMtheir tentsוּנְשֵׁיהֶםu/ne/she/HEMand their wivesוּבְנֵיהֶםu/ve/ne/HEMand their sonsוְטַפָּם׃ve/tap/PAMand their little ones

    So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

28. 28

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesבְּזֹאתbe/ZOTby thisתֵּדְעוּןted/UNyou shall knowכִּי־יְהֹוָהki-Adonaithat the LORDשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nihas sent meלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doאֵת־כׇּל־הַמַּעֲשִׂיםet-kol-ham/ma/a/SIMall the worksהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notמִלִּבִּי׃mil/lib/BIof my own heart

    And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

29. 29

    אִם־כְּמוֹתim-ke/MOTif like the death ofכׇּל־הָאָדָםkol-ha/a/DAMall menיְמֻתוּןye/mu/TUNdieאֵלֶּהEL/letheseוּפְקֻדַּתu/fe/kud/DATand the visitation ofכׇּל־הָאָדָםkol-ha/a/DAMall menיִפָּקֵדyip/pa/KEDbe visitedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themלֹאlonotיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשְׁלָחָנִי׃she/la/CHA/nihas sent me

    If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.

    וְאִם־בְּרִיאָהve/IM-be/ri/Abut if a new thingיִבְרָאyiv/RAcreatesיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּפָצְתָהu/fa/tse/TAand opensהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundאֶת־פִּיהָet-PI/haits mouthוּבָלְעָהu/va/le/Aand swallowsאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרve/ET-kol-a/SHERand all thatלָהֶםla/HEMis theirsוְיָרְדוּve/ya/re/DUand they go downחַיִּיםchay/YIMlivingשְׁאֹלָהShe/O/lainto Sheolוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּיkithatנִאֲצוּni/a/TSUhave despisedהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֶת־יְהֹוָה׃et-Adonaithe LORD

    But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּכַלֹּתוֹke/khal/lo/TOas he finishedלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERspeakingאֵת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםet-kol-had/de/va/RIMall the wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוַתִּבָּקַעvat/tib/ba/KAand split apartהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasתַּחְתֵּיהֶם׃tach/te/HEMunder them

    And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:

32. 32

    וַתִּפְתַּחvat/tif/TACHand openedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthאֶת־פִּיהָet-PI/haits mouthוַתִּבְלַעvat/tiv/LAand swallowedאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְאֶת־בָּתֵּיהֶםve/ET-bat/te/HEMand their householdsוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הָאָדָםkol-ha/a/DAMall the menאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלְקֹרַחle/KO/rachbelonged to Korahוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הָרְכוּשׁ׃kol-ha/re/KHUSHall their goods

    And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

    וַיֵּרְדוּvay/yer/DUso went downהֵםhemtheyוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all thatלָהֶםla/HEMwas theirsחַיִּיםchay/YIMlivingשְׁאֹלָהShe/O/lainto Sheolוַתְּכַסvat/te/KHASand closedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוַיֹּאבְדוּvay/yo/ve/DUand they perishedמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהַקָּהָל׃hak/ka/HALthe assembly

    They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

    וְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/KHOL-yis/ra/ELand all Israelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereסְבִיבֹתֵיהֶםse/vi/vo/te/HEMround about themנָסוּNA/sufledלְקֹלָםle/ko/LAMat their cryכִּיkiforאָמְרוּa/me/RUthey saidפֶּן־תִּבְלָעֵנוּpen-tiv/la/E/nulest it should swallow usהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

    And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.

35. 35

    וְאֵשׁve/ESHand fireיָצְאָהya/tse/Acame outמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַתֹּאכַלvat/TO/khaland it consumedאֵת־הַחֲמִשִּׁיםet-ha/cha/mish/SHIMthe fiftyוּמָאתַיִםu/ma/TA/yimand two hundredאִישׁishmenמַקְרִיבֵיmak/ri/VEwho offeredהַקְּטֹרֶת׃hak/ke/TO/retthe incense

    And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
