Micah 5 מִיכָה פרק ה׳

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAbut youבֵּית־לֶחֶםBet-LE/chemBeth-lehemאֶפְרָתָהEf/RA/taEphratahצָעִירtsa/IRlittleלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beבְּאַלְפֵיbe/al/FEamong the thousands ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAout of youלִיlito meיֵצֵאye/TSEshall come forthלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beמוֹשֵׁלmo/SHELrulerבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELin Israelוּמוֹצָאֹתָיוu/mo/tsa/o/TAYVand his goings forthמִקֶּדֶםmik/KE/demfrom of oldמִימֵיMI/mefrom the days ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeverlasting

   But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

2. 2

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיִתְּנֵםyit/te/NEMHe will give them upעַד־עֵתad-etuntil the time thatיוֹלֵדָהyo/le/DAshe who travailsיָלָדָהya/LA/dahas brought forthוְיֶתֶרve/YE/terthen the remnant ofאֶחָיוe/CHAYVhis brethrenיְשׁוּבוּןye/shu/VUNshall returnעַל־בְּנֵיal-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.

3. 3

   וְעָמַדve/a/MADand he shall standוְרָעָהve/ra/Aand shall feedבְּעֹזbe/OZin the strength ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּגְאוֹןbig/ONin the majesty ofשֵׁםshemthe name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהָיוe/lo/HAYVhis Godוְיָשָׁבוּve/ya/SHA/vuand they shall abideכִּי־עַתָּהki-at/TAfor nowיִגְדַּלyig/DALshall he be greatעַד־אַפְסֵי־אָרֶץ׃ad-af/SE-A/retsto the ends of the earth

   And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

4. 4

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand shall beזֶהzethis oneשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceאַשּׁוּרAsh/SHURAssyriaכִּי־יָבוֹאki-ya/VOwhen shall comeבְאַרְצֵנוּve/ar/TSE/nuinto our landוְכִיve/KHIand whenיִדְרֹךְyid/ROKHhe shall treadבְּאַרְמְנוֹתֵינוּbe/ar/me/no/TE/nuin our palacesוַהֲקֵמֹנוּva/ha/ke/MO/nuthen shall we raiseעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himשִׁבְעָהshiv/Asevenרֹעִיםro/IMshepherdsוּשְׁמֹנָהu/she/mo/NAand eightנְסִיכֵיne/si/KHEthe princes ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

   And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

   וְרָעוּve/ra/Uand they shall wasteאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe land ofאַשּׁוּרAsh/SHURAssyriaבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordוְאֶת־אֶרֶץve/ET-E/retsand the land ofנִמְרֹדNim/RODNimrodבִּפְתָחֶיהָbif/ta/CHE/hain its entrancesוְהִצִּילve/hits/TSILand he shall deliver usמֵאַשּׁוּרme/Ash/SHURfrom Assyriaכִּי־יָבוֹאki-ya/VOwhen shall comeבְאַרְצֵנוּve/ar/TSE/nuinto our landוְכִיve/KHIand whenיִדְרֹךְyid/ROKHhe shall treadבִּגְבוּלֵנוּ׃big/vu/LE/nuwithin our borders

   And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand shall beשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITthe remnant ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revin the midst ofעַמִּיםam/MIMpeoplesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyכְּטַלke/TALas dewמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּרְבִיבִיםkir/vi/VIMas showersעֲלֵי־עֵשֶׂבa/LE-E/sevupon the grassאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יְקַוֶּהlo-ye/kav/VEwaits notלְאִישׁle/ISHfor manוְלֹאve/LOnorיְיַחֵלye/ya/CHELtarriesלִבְנֵיliv/NEfor the sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

   And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

7. 7

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand shall beשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITthe remnant ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revin the midst ofעַמִּיםam/MIMpeoplesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyכְּאַרְיֵהke/ar/YEas a lionבְּבַהֲמוֹתbe/va/ha/MOTamong the beasts ofיַעַרYA/arthe forestכִּכְפִירkikh/FIRlike a young lionבְּעֶדְרֵי־צֹאןbe/ed/RE-tsonamong the flocks of sheepאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאִם־עָבַרim-a/VARif he go throughוְרָמַסve/ra/MASboth treads downוְטָרַףve/ta/RAFand tears in piecesוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noמַצִּיל׃mats/TSILcan deliver

   And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

8. 8

   תָּרֹםta/ROMshall be lifted upיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour handעַל־צָרֶיךָal-tsa/RE/khaupon your adversariesוְכׇל־אֹיְבֶיךָve/KHOL-oy/VE/khaand all your enemiesיִכָּרֵתוּ׃yik/ka/RE/tushall be cut off

   Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

9. 9

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall come to passבַיּוֹם־הַהוּאvay/YOM-ha/HUin that dayנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand I will cut offסוּסֶיךָsu/SE/khayour horsesמִקִּרְבֶּךָmik/kir/BE/khafrom your midstוְהַאֲבַדְתִּיve/ha/a/vad/TIand I will destroyמַרְכְּבֹתֶיךָ׃mar/ke/vo/TE/khayour chariots

   And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:

10. 10

    וְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand I will cut offעָרֵיa/REthe cities ofאַרְצֶךָar/TSE/khayour landוְהָרַסְתִּיve/ha/ras/TIand throw downכׇּל־מִבְצָרֶיךָ׃kol-miv/tsa/RE/khaall your strongholds

    And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

11. 11

    וְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand I will cut offכְשָׁפִיםkhe/sha/FIMwitchcraftsמִיָּדֶךָmiy/ya/DE/khafrom your handוּמְעוֹנְנִיםu/me/on/NIMand soothsayersלֹאlonotיִהְיוּ־לָךְ׃yih/YU-lakhshall you have

    And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

12. 12

    וְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand I will cut offפְסִילֶיךָfe/si/LE/khayour graven imagesוּמַצֵּבוֹתֶיךָu/mats/tse/vo/TE/khaand your pillarsמִקִּרְבֶּךָmik/kir/BE/khafrom your midstוְלֹא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶהve/LO-tish/ta/cha/VEand you shall not worshipעוֹדodagainלְמַעֲשֵׂהle/ma/a/SEthe work ofיָדֶיךָ׃ya/DE/khayour hands

    Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

13. 13

    וְנָתַשְׁתִּיve/na/tash/TIand I will pluck upאֲשֵׁירֶיךָA/she/RE/khayour Asherimמִקִּרְבֶּךָmik/kir/BE/khafrom your midstוְהִשְׁמַדְתִּיve/hish/mad/TIand I will destroyעָרֶיךָ׃a/RE/khayour cities

    And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.

14. 14

    וְעָשִׂיתִיve/a/SI/tiand I will executeבְּאַףbe/AFin angerוּבְחֵמָהu/ve/che/MAand furyנָקָםna/KAMvengeanceאֶת־הַגּוֹיִםet-hag/go/YIMupon the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotשָׁמֵעוּ׃sha/ME/uhave heard

    And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
