Micah 3 מִיכָה פרק ג׳

   וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidשִׁמְעוּ־נָאshim/U-nahear I prayרָאשֵׁיra/SHEO heads ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוּקְצִינֵיu/ke/tsi/NEand you rulers ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהֲלוֹאha/LOis it notלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowאֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּט׃et-ham/mish/PATthe judgment

   And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?

2. 2

   שֹׂנְאֵיSON/ewho hateטוֹבtovgoodוְאֹהֲבֵיve/o/ha/VEand those who love(רעה)rh[רָע]raevilגֹּזְלֵיgoz/LEwho pluck offעוֹרָםo/RAMtheir skinמֵעֲלֵיהֶםme/a/le/HEMfrom off themוּשְׁאֵרָםu/she/e/RAMand their fleshמֵעַלme/ALfrom uponעַצְמוֹתָם׃ats/mo/TAMtheir bones

   Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

   וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERwho alsoאָכְלוּa/khe/LUeatשְׁאֵרshe/ERthe flesh ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleוְעוֹרָםve/o/RAMand their skinמֵעֲלֵיהֶםme/a/le/HEMfrom off themהִפְשִׁיטוּhif/SHI/tuflayוְאֶת־עַצְמֹתֵיהֶםve/ET-ats/mo/te/HEMand their bonesפִּצֵּחוּpits/TSE/chuthey breakוּפָרְשׂוּu/fa/re/SUand they will spread outכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasבַּסִּירbas/SIRin the potוּכְבָשָׂרu/khe/va/SARand as fleshבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHwithinקַלָּחַת׃kal/LA/chata caldron

   Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

   אָזazthenיִזְעֲקוּyiz/a/KUthey shall cryאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDוְלֹאve/LOand notיַעֲנֶהya/a/NEHe will answerאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְיַסְתֵּרve/yas/TERand He will hideפָּנָיוpa/NAYVHis faceמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִיאha/HIthatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהֵרֵעוּhe/RE/uthey have done evil inמַעַלְלֵיהֶם׃ma/al/le/HEMtheir doings

   Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־הַנְּבִיאִיםal-han/ne/vi/IMconcerning the prophetsהַמַּתְעִיםham/mat/IMthat make errאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleהַנֹּשְׁכִיםhan/nosh/KHIMthat biteבְּשִׁנֵּיהֶםbe/shin/ne/HEMwith their teethוְקָרְאוּve/ka/re/Uand cryשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoeverלֹא־יִתֵּןlo-yit/TENdoes not giveעַל־פִּיהֶםal-pi/HEMinto their mouthsוְקִדְּשׁוּve/kid/de/SHUthey even prepareעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himמִלְחָמָה׃mil/cha/MAwar

   Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלַיְלָהLAY/lanightלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youמֵחָזוֹןme/cha/ZONwithout visionוְחָשְׁכָהve/cha/she/KHAand it shall be darkלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youמִקְּסֹםmik/ke/SOMwithout diviningוּבָאָהu/VA/aand shall go downהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunעַל־הַנְּבִיאִיםal-han/ne/vi/IMover the prophetsוְקָדַרve/ka/DARand shall be darkעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themהַיּוֹם׃hay/YOMthe day

   Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

   וּבֹשׁוּu/VO/shuand they will be ashamedהַחֹזִיםha/cho/ZIMthe seersוְחָפְרוּve/cha/fe/RUand be confoundedהַקֹּסְמִיםhak/kos/MIMthe divinersוְעָטוּve/a/TUand they shall coverעַל־שָׂפָםal-sa/FAMtheir lipsכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of themכִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noמַעֲנֵהma/a/NEthe answer ofאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

   Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

8. 8

   וְאוּלָםve/u/LAMbut trulyאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמָלֵאתִיma/LE/tiam full ofכֹחַKHO/achpowerאֶת־רוּחַet-RU/achby the Spirit ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּמִשְׁפָּטu/mish/PATand judgmentוּגְבוּרָהu/ge/vu/RAand mightלְהַגִּידle/hag/GIDto declareלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobפִּשְׁעוֹpish/Ohis transgressionוּלְיִשְׂרָאֵלu/Le/yis/ra/ELand to Israelחַטָּאתוֹ׃chat/ta/TOhis sin

   But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

   שִׁמְעוּ־נָאshim/U-nahear I prayזֹאתzotthisרָאשֵׁיra/SHEO heads ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוּקְצִינֵיu/ke/tsi/NEand rulers ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהַמְתַעֲבִיםham/ta/a/VIMthat abhorמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הַיְשָׁרָהkol-hay/sha/RAall equityיְעַקֵּשׁוּ׃ye/ak/KE/shupervert

   Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

10. 10

    בֹּנֶהbo/NEthey buildצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionבְּדָמִיםbe/da/MIMwith bloodוִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםVi/ru/sha/LA/yimand Jerusalemבְּעַוְלָה׃be/av/LAwith iniquity

    They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

    רָאשֶׁיהָra/SHE/haher headsבְּשֹׁחַדbe/SHO/chadfor a bribeיִשְׁפֹּטוּyish/PO/tuthey judgeוְכֹהֲנֶיהָve/kho/ha/NE/haand her priestsבִּמְחִירbim/CHIRfor a priceיוֹרוּyo/RUteachוּנְבִיאֶיהָu/ne/vi/E/haand her prophetsבְּכֶסֶףbe/KHE/seffor moneyיִקְסֹמוּyik/SO/muthey divineוְעַל־יְהֹוָהve/AL-Adonaiyet upon the LORDיִשָּׁעֵנוּyish/sha/E/nuthey leanלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהֲלוֹאha/LOis notיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּקִרְבֵּנוּbe/kir/BE/nuamong usלֹא־תָבוֹאlo-ta/VOshall not comeעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuupon usרָעָה׃ra/Aevil

    The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeבִּגְלַלְכֶםbig/lal/KHEMbecause of youצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionשָׂדֶהsa/DEas a fieldתֵחָרֵשׁte/cha/RESHshall be plowedוִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםVi/ru/sha/LA/yimand Jerusalemעִיִּיןiy/YINheapsתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beוְהַרve/HARand the mount ofהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseלְבָמוֹתle/va/MOTas the high places ofיָעַר׃YA/ara forest

    Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
